There should be a joke about Chapter 33 somewhere around here.

**overclocking kinetic barriers**
Someone did post it before, but I don't think it was a joke about 33.

What I meant was that there is a potential for one.

Of course. Though it would be rather evil.

Now I've got an image stuck in my head of Arthur and the Knights gang-raping the Black Knight. Thanks for that, then.

I always thought of the the tail thing as more like... a USB cable, not related to mating, but to bonding instead, but yeah, that's messed up.

Anyway, while that movie did indeed look pretty nice, its plot was lacking in quite a few things, especially believable villains. Gee, if there's a population center in the huge tree, but there's a ton of money under it, and the population doesn't want to leave, it's a damn shame. Go find another big-ass tree. You have freakin' spaceships, after all. And then there's the misanthropy...

A deleted portion of the sex scene (he sure does find that inhuman xenoform attractive.....) reveals that they put their USB cords together when mating

@Swicked Nah, the unobtainium was being found in trace amounts everywhere, and it was making them money (I still don't know what it's useful for. Did they ever explain that?), if I remember correctly. Even if it had been only found there, how unrealistic is that? Not to mention that Pandora is a moon of a gas giant and still habitable year-round with a good temperature.

@Frost Again, I point to them being more part of bonding than anything. Their use allows both creatures to gain an understanding of the other somehow. Doesn't make it any less screwed up or realistic; if you think about it, such organs in large number with long range could make a very deadly predator. Subdue, then eliminate the target.

How exactly that whole USB thing is supposed to have evolved or how it works without massive risk of permanent nerve/brain damage is beyond me.

I didn't really appreciate the visuals. I like an industrial, mid/high-tech aesthetic way more than a "neon-hippy" one

I'm pretty sure they'd looked around and couldn't find it anywhere else... it's unobtainium, after all.

In my headcanon they came back years later dragging a huge asteroid and wipe the lot of them out before resuming mining.

Watched it a few years back with some college buddies who introduced it to me, got bored of the plot and resumed working on a final project. Guessed correctly what happened in the storyline as it was similar to <a href=http://s3.amazonaws.com/files.posterous.com/shareables/eibJDheJumCemAexlHHAgyjpyHoctpCtEiuhwqjhIqlgzEcdECweyAgGouby/media_http9gagcomphot_DaBoz.jpg.scaled1000.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJFZAE65UYRT34AOQ&Expires=1351926142&Signature=HZOfTi5KXQukxT1w7JGQiumbSIg%3D>this</a> so.... yeah.
I'm telling you, Handsome Jack came in and wrecked the planet, and that's the Pandora of Borderlands 2.

Why would I take that offensively? I'm rarely offended, and my jimmies are nigh-unrustlable, at least over the internet.

Looking into it, the answer is so painfully obvious that I had not considered it--I suppose nothing is too clichéd--it's part of an energy plan, a room-temperature superconductor for controlling antimatter reactions to produce power. Oh, and it's found in great quantities on Pandora's floating islands, not just in that damn tree.

@OMDSK XML error or somesuch.

Unobtanium is a room-temperature superconductor.

Apparently Earth is in pretty bad shape by the time of Avatar. No one seems to mention that Unobtaium (by allowing more extensive use of clean antimatter reactions) could help totally reverse that and turn Earth into a utopia at the expense of one tribe of locals who can just find another goddamn big tree

Mining those would be really easy. Blast 'em into bits, and the pieces just keep floating there. Pick the Unobtaium out and the rock just falls.

How the fuck there is still water on those islands is beyond me

Pretty sure that the ones on Pandora at the time was a for-profit corporation with military mercs. None of them were trying to help Earth. And the only reason they didn't just blast Pandora was due to some super-SPCA or something like that.

And the pic I was linking to was the Disney Pocahontas paper that was replaced by Avatar terms, for your information.

Thing is technically Navi owns the stuff, but has absolutely nothing they'd want to trade for. So essentially they've got no incentive to trade, but all the resources.

University doesn't work out too well with being active on forums, and now I believe I've missed all the discussion of the newest chapter and now it's back to off-topic town. I'll see if I have something fun to share in that regard!
I never considered watching Avatar, though, so it only reminds me of the Mountain King from Warcraft 3.

And maybe nix the ground assault, since that stampede was pretty destructive.
[b]

A team of modern Strykers or Bradleys fitted with Bushmaster 20mm autocannon a would have devastated that whole charge. (That charge was a massive Deus Ex Machina, but that's beside the point) all these fancy supertanks they would have in the future would have obliterated them

First random side note, my back totally acted up and made me faceplant today, yay! But actually managed to finish my fic, it is finally done! (buck me...around ~65000 words...)

@OMD-SK: (Celestia) Ever seen the "Princess Molestia" Blog? xP

(Cupcakes) I cba to even watch that, not overly sure, but meh... usually like the "react" videos. But just watched a few minute, and then went "meh"

@Iron: (Guns) I'll just leave this here...
"On the crit range, it simply says 'Yes'"

And we ofc cannot forget this!

@Valik: ... you know, you just gave me a hilarious mental image of a dolphin... "dual wielding", if you catch my drift [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion - Page 29 1639762117

@Swicked: (Avatar) Hehe, I remember those two xP
And that movie had helicopter lizards, that's good enough for me xD
On a side note, they kind of fuck everything on their planet, people, animals, plans x3

Oh, no, I'd long since made that connection, especially since the animals attempt to fight back to resist it. Their "religious" rituals involve having a massive spirit-orgy with their entire tribe and the planet itself. It's freaky as heck.
