The Chapter Eight issue has been resolved; we've decided to go with the statement being inaccurate in the story (though I'm not sure how much of it is due to deliberate misinformation spread by the Reapers and how much is just the speaker being wrong).

I've just had one most perfect fight. And, because I thrive on attention, I have to post it here.
The BDR-G1B has the worst armor out of all heavies. And, until the last upgrade, it has pathetic cannons. But when you get the last one (which is a 90mm long-barrel beast) it's time to get even.
LIKE THIS:
Yeah, that's 2 heavies and a TD of the same level. Also 4 other things. And, while killing most of these things, I had a damaged engine, fuel tank and tracks from the SPGs' fire (both of which I killed).
The only explanation I have is that my tank was, for the duration of this fight, turned into a daemon-engine possessed by Blackjack.

So yeah... even if she could get a deeper and bigger package, it's about as tempting as I guess most guys would think the concept of having their privates chopped off and replaced with some new, "improved" parts. It's just a sentimental values if nothing else :3

- 1: Glory getting off: Well, more or less. None gave a fuck, watched the filly die, then Glory used that as an excuse to get to punish BJ. That's about how it played out for me, since as said, none did anything really to save her, as was thoroughly explained like 5-6 topics back. And then Glory right after they neglected her to death, wanted to fuck BJ, using said death to get to punish BJ more.
2: Language: Well. can't recall that being stated, they just said he was good with languages. (and somehow the first pony in history as well)
3: Psalm: Yeah, that might be it. She makes herself suffer on purpose so she can whine about it.
4: Psalm+GB: Perhaps, still made me facepalm. As said, he is plot convenience and has a hoof EVERYWHERE.
5: Handsome: Yes, but that was only so he had more to lose, ofc he had to be talented, sexy smart and all that, then we can pity him more when he lose everything... yet somehow has energy and shit for things he shouldn't, and not making sense with more than half of his contacts. (as said a few comments above, still waiting for that to make it's first point of sense, nothing so far leans towards him being any good or doing it "honestly".)
6: Magic: As said, it has still been somewhat limited. (As said, Velvet said she couldn't learn things out of her "range", in the other hand, it took her one second to learn ANY spell she "could" learn. And personally think it's a bit fanwank with "it's in the blood" lore logic.) Anyhow, again, there is still reason for it. As said, Twilight's talent is magic, and there's several aspects where one could learn a ton of spells. Say... your special talent is making sandwiches. By "your" logic, there is a pony for EVERY SINGLE RECIPE. One that makes a daisy sandwich cannot learn to make anything but that. And thus it also is seen as retarded to write down recipes for different types of sandwiches. Since as said, what would the point be if you're only good at sandwiches? There's only a couple of thousand combinations. But as they can never be as good at making soup, there is no point to have a recipe book for sandwiches by that logic. My PoV is that say you are good at sandwiches, find this out and get your cutie mark making a aubergine and kumquat sandwich you could go "My, I wonder what other types of sandwiches I can make?" find said recipe book, and read some fucking sandwich recipes. Then maybe try making a subway as well, still close enough to your expertise.

Otherwise it kind of stereotypes the races. (which Fluttershy is a proof of, she "sucks" as a pegasus per se) Say you are a seamstress, you don't need much magic for that. (and again, first option would make fashion and design books completely useless) With the other logic, said unicorn could spend a few days reading, then have mastered the art of weaving fireballs and magicking up wings and healing wounds. Every pegasus would just naturally be a great flier and able to pull off tornadoes and sonic rainbooms if they just practised enough. And earth ponies would... well, I dunno, just be able to take twice as much hits as the other two as that seems to be their only given task. If every unicorn could learn anything with just a little practice, we come to the "they are the master race", always. EP's or zebra's better at stealth? Not anymore, I'll just make myself invisible with this spell, then dampen all sound around me, or simply levitate myself through the air. and etc. There is still a reason to write shit down. If you are an illusionist like Trixie, you can learn new illusion spells. To put it D&D wise, a bard is not worthless because he can only lean bard spells. That's his thing. Unicorns have their magic area they do good in. That's the thing with cutie marks. Some don't even need to use magic for their talent.
As for your second point, yes, it would make sense if it wasn't for Kkat's "it just takes a minute to learn, just pay the scholar some caps" canon. And again, it points that all unicorns MUST have a couple of spells (to a degree) to be "unicorns", otherwise they could just as well have been an EP. Again, Fluttershy proves this, you don't HAVE to use your race's innate magic to be useful or get a cutie mark like it. Otherwise FoE RPG's just turn into "NUKE/BURST THE UNICORN!", since they CAN very likely have a spell, which immedeatly makes them more dangerous than any EP... unless said EP has a VERY big weapon. Plus, it kinda forces all unicorns to learn magic from books rather than find it on their own. Gah, trailing off, sorry.
7: Golden's execution: It just strikes me like she didn't even consider for a second that he MIGHT actually deserve it. Lack of explanation, sure, I can see her ticked on that. But her semi-whole "He's a good and innocent pony that never harmed anyone!" partial mentality there makes no sense. She was pissed at Golden, she knew he did rotten things, unless he as said manipulated and regularly removed their memory to remove anything "bad" he did to them. Which Shy partially seems to lean towards, manipulative abuse to satisfy himself and his plans, with little to no regard off her well being at all. (more or less) The fact Twilight couldn't even in her wildest imagination fathom Luna finding out Golden did something as despicable as to simply order his execution is beyond me, seems waaay to... "narrow minded"? for Twilight, thinking only the best of him and the worst of her more or less. And "that" being what breaks her also strikes me as odd. I can see it being a last drop after a chain of bad events. But for her to be all "NOOO! NOT GOLDEN!" and flip the table there just makes me facepalm. His record wasn't exactly spotless. Was she really corrupt, or just outraged by what she found? Speaking of which, I find it quite retarded or at least very... uptight? Of Luna to be all "NOPE!" and refuse to tell what she discovered. Was she really that prude to refuse to admit to whatever she found. Quite sure Twilight would have loved to hear about his plan to overthrow the government, kill both princesses, kill all the ministry mares, how he murdered ponies to save time and cuz he was lazy, how he physically and sexually abused one of her friends, robbed her of her greatest achievement and all that. Even just one or a few of what he had planned would be enough to have Twilight join her side. That she got snotty and refuse to say anything just plays her off as a very dumb character, unlike the super-genius Golden, who totally is better than the princess in every way.
8: Manequin: And this is BJ we're talking about, to her it might as well be xD But overall, it seems like a rather odd "plan" for her to come up with, a bit more that it worked. And where'd she get the pistol from?
9: BJ's "action": And that is about the "champion in bed", Somber runs it hard and mercilessly like it is totally a hilarious running gag. Before Styg, BJ NEVER shown ANY of the quirks she suddenly gained. She bragged about him being great in the sack, despite stating he "barely worked/wasn't terrible at least", leaving herself out entirely like she possibly can't do anything in bed to contribute or be awesome with. Then promoted how many times in a row he was able to satisfy himself, like it was a good merit, twice. The later agreed "Mmm, why yes, he DOES have a big dick." she'd never before up to that point shown any of this "promoting" trait, nor that she was almost solely into pleasing her partner, despite growing up in a place that only favoured female pleasure. (unless as said P-21 was just "retarded" and didn't fit in there, having all others love every second of it, since all males like to have sex, it's what they do. While women either do it to satisfy the male, or couldn't possibly do it by force, since that would be in-equine, women can't do that. They're way too kind and forgiving. (and just ranting here in the later part after the "female pleasure." but yeah, I think Somber forced a tad bit too much "straight 20'th century american female" into BJ's mentality with stereotypes and norms) Since so far they've done that every single time in the story. Only 99 was so twisted and corrupted that such a crime against nature could unfold! Outside in the sane wasteland things are like they should, females behave (sexual wise) and men rape and murder like they do, since it's just their nature.
10: Tails: And that is true, but again, it kinda gets steamrolled with the "lol, I can carry 12 of those with my magic, use it simultaneously and at long range!" fact, if going what about one that puts enough effort into both those skills. EP's technically COULD get a better "start" so to speak, but they can NEVER reach the "peak" a UP or PP can...

Admittedly I sometimes derail because I feel like I'm not being that involved in the forum, and it doesn't go...ahem...just as planned. I'll post more relevant stuff but it will be along the lines of military and civilian hardware in FoE. These conspiracy things like how to kill Fluttershy are a bit difficult for me to understand at times.
Admitting it is the first step to recovery!

Would it make sense that some of the factions closer to Equestria and Zebra lands constructed shelters in case the bombings spilled over to them?
Admittedly I sometimes derail because I feel like I'm not being that involved in the forum, and it doesn't go...ahem...just as planned. I'll post more relevant stuff but it will be along the lines of military and civilian hardware in FoE. These conspiracy things like how to kill Fluttershy are a bit difficult for me to understand at times.

It would be a waste of resources. Provide gas masks and such to protect from fallout and you'd be fine

Star Wars out of the hands of George Lucas is a good thing. I'm not the biggest fan but it doesn't take a fan to know that Lucas from the 90s on is an utter moron when it comes to filmmaking.
