Neither. Both got flaws. Ulfric, for instance is a spy (sort of), you can find it out through main quest, when you'll be in Embassy.

BTW. Houscarls (I hope I got that word right..followers from different holds) can be your house stewards.

Depends..I had ~8 characters, different play through. Mage, warrior, archer, assassin, etc. But tbh it all comes down ALWAYS to stealthy kills. Doesn't matter who you playing as, you'll always go to stealthy character. With hight illusion you can silently cast spells and even shouts. But arrow to the knee in the back/knife to the throat is always a good choice.
Who I never played as was Argonians. Not that I don't like them or something, just never could create (even with mods) the one, that I would enjoy

your right. i was gonna have a nord warrior, but now my sneaks at level 94. i then tried to use magic/ haevy armor. it didnt suit me, now i got nightingale armor(possibly best stealth armor). and a crossbow. (lucky find for me), and mehrunas razor(best daedric artifact, besides wabbajack. i NEVER use magic unless for healing/ vampire lord magic.

btw. Console or PC? If PC - try out mods. Only do it smart or you can screw up your game.
I'm heading to classes and will be home in ~5 hours and I could give you some good mods. Again, it's if you use PC version.

You know, there are a lot of exceptions to that rule about PH - non-main characters, or even recurring characters, included. It's a trend in it, and I know you think that doesn't make sense because of the gender ratios in the show and you don't like it 'cos of a litany of reasons, but it's absolutely not the rule.

So far, to all I recall, it's true for every single character that's not a "named" character, that has a abnormal reason to not be like "the rest". And even a couple main characters either just falls in line to fit the stereotype, or is altered so that they fit. Unless they are needed to not do so, for plot convenience or a specific reason. So far I've also only heard and read plot convenience on plot convenience to even make shit work. At the back of my head I recall like, 50 instances that more or less just are there to reinforce that standard, or drive the plot convenience forward. It's like the "arrow in the knee" quote, somehow almost every single female npc BJ runs past pulls out "tragic backstory in which she was raped" out of their ass. And then how either they themselves or every other female insists that they have to "move past it" and forgive their rapist, because they are better than that. Because you know, that culture makes sense. And ofc how every male npc they meet either want to apply rape as a direct solution to anything, or how they are capable and willing to perform it.

And logic wise, it just recently struck me that males don't even HAVE a sex drive unless the females got one. (if we just go biologically with equines here.) If we'd add so that they've changed for a humans "around the year", then it might partially work. But as said, pretty much nothing in that area makes much sense in PH. Especially not why BJ use male terms, or our worlds societal standards and values.

@Tytan: I could have you know that we fail that rather hard as it is. Heck, there was less rape done here when Sweden were Vikings. VIKINGS. It's easier today in Swe to get away with rape than it is in Africa. And generally, we reward the rapists by giving them money for being "wrongly accused". Like the guy I mentioned a bit back that got about 70 % of what the woman that was raped got (or was "supposed" to get, because the perpetrators might not be able to pay the like... 37000 $), because "he was only watching and jerking it, he actually never participated", and thus was wrongly and inhumanely treated for a crime he didn't commit, and all the negative publicity and hardship he had to endure, so he got compensated with around 29000 $. Because making sense... or the ones that gangbanged a underage girl that were all set free, because according to the jury, she didn't resist the rape enough. And her "pathetic excuse" of "being held down by three men while being gagged and afraid" doesn't hold in court. There was no way these men could've known she didn't want in on this as her "no" before she was gagged could just as well have been roleplay.

Trailing off, but point being. It's not like there's a like... if going game terms, if a female got 29 hp fallout style, and a male got 30, and their "base damage is "3-7 and "3-8" respectively, statistic wise, the male should NOT win 95 % of the time as it is now. And like you said, a roving band of raiders shouldn't have any problem with that. So why does every single female in the wasteland have a strong moral codex that unanimously agree with all other females that it's wrong of them to force themselves upon a male or another female? That they'er all "better than that" and they all have to forgive any male that does just that on them? Along with every male sharing a "fuck whomever you want!" mentality? And atop of that, it makes no sense that they all act like a pre-patriarchal society. BJ the best worst example as said. she's cock obsessed, thinks nothing of pussies whatsoever. See's males as the stronger gender, uses male pronouns. Puts the male above the female,  see's her own pleasure as inferior to that of a male's and a ton of other shit. and this makes sense form one that supposedly came from a stable where males were solely a weak breeding tool for their amusement?

It just comes off as really odd that a male being raped comes off as this bizarre, urban myth in the wasteland. It's like... a drow society, in which no-one expects or is scared of being assassinated. DESPITE the constant assassinations. And none bothers getting body-guards or locking their door at night. Like... how the fuck does this behaviour keep going on? It's like the Enclave: "Take the first best, retarded suggestion we can on how to maintain population and never change it and blindly cling to it without question for the nearest 300 years!" It's like insisting on a pacifist run in a game where it literally is impossible...  like starcraft or CoD or something, then apply that to a real civilization. Then wonder how the fuck they, and their morals are still left after 200 years. How have they not died out when dozens of them are raped and killed each day?

I personally facepalm hard at most "attempts" of rape I see done. Like there is the generic male on female. And then there's the failed female on male/female where the either 1: inexplicably grows a dick to be "able" to rape. 2: solely focuses on pleasuring the male and make sure he enjoys it... which makes it rape how? Know I facepalmed so hard at a supposed "run or rape" game with a male protagonist. Not a single one of the "enemies" was threatening in any way and only wanted to please him. I agree with many of your points--in modern society, any form of rape except "normal" male-on-female isn't really treated seriously. Female-on-female/male is fetishized, because, as we all know, there's no way a female could ever harm or traumatize anyone, and male-on-male usually expects the reaction of "lol what a wussy he got raped up the butthole"

And, as has been mentioned before, an equine society, were it to regress in the post-apocalypse, would regress to a brutal matriarchal society, not the brutal patriarchal one shown in FoE and its spinoffs. 

Regarding the Vikings, well.....it helps that the Viking women pretty much all carried knives at the very least, in addition to the fact that her husband would have been considered weak and dishonorable if he allowed harm to come to her.

Regarding Berserk, there's not much going on concerning "sexual comedy" like that. There are, like I mentioned, a few consensual sex scenes (including a few prostitutes and pagan orgies) but most of it's played for all the horror and drama you can imagine.

@Katt, I think you're reading WAAAAAY to deeply into PH. Yes there's sex, a lot more than the average fic, but it doesn't make up the entire book. And BJ might consider her pleasure to be less because 90% of her body is artificial, and thus far less sensitive. And the only times I'd have called her 'cock obsessed' was that one chapter with worst bat pony and that one time when Lancer had her tied up. Even in the stable where she had free access to male prostitutes she preferred mares. Any other time she's very very lesbian.

I'm sure the male pronouns are an oversight. Male authors use male pronouns, female authors use female pronouns. And male authors naturally avoid talking about the female organs. BJ is usually thinking about her own, and not giving much thought to her marefriends. (I think she's kind of a self loathing narcissist.)

And to be fair she has met quite a few very strong men, most of whom kicked her ass and/or wanted to kill her. Deus, Gorgon, Big Daddy, Stronghoof, Nova, Lancer, Leo, the Warden, etcetera etcetera. Not to mention her rape, one of the few times in her life when she was completely helpless and it was committed by a gang of stallions.
