Yeah, but for the story if you were following you would have had to reread the entire thing over and over and over for every retcon. Speaking of fantasy RPG's, I've often wondered if there's a mod-pack that turns New Vegas into a fantasy game (I.E. a lot more melee weapons, magic instead of energy, ect) mostly because the story and characters seem to run more on the genre conventions of fantasy than they do sci-fi or post-apocKatarn wrote:Depends on what you're looking for.

Okay, so here's few good mods for Skyrim.
Note, some mod's _might_ require installing other mods, that can be rated as 18+.
Good and nice world map.
UI changer. Musthave.
SKSE. Script, just put it in your Skyrim folder (not data). Musthave for many mods, that are scripted.
Racemenu. Adds much more customization for your character.
Apachihair. Quite big and popular mod with great choice of new hairs for both male and female characters.
Fire and ice overhaul. Ever thought why when you set things on fire it didn't spread? This mod fixes that for you!
Glowing ore. We all know, it's sometimes hard to spot ore deposit..not anymore!
Static mesh improvement. Nuff said. Improves static objects.
Mystic knight. Love to use one-handed weapons and magic in same time? Now it's even more beautiful! (Note: there are other suggested mods inside, some might be considered 18+ or close to that).

You know what would be great? If more games had greater mod support and more games used the steam workshop. Mods are great and all, but with fallout you have to be careful what mods you use cause a lot of them contradict each other. It's a massive pain in the ass to see what mods don't work with each other. Even if you read the descriptions for fallout mods half the time you don't find out until you actually load the game.
I'm not saying to stop allowing people to put mods directly in the game file, cause with how many 18+ mods there are realistically you can't have that in the steam workshop. However I would like it if more games were a part of the steam workshop or had something like that.
It would be cool if for like minecraft or such the vanilla launcher had access to mods that you could download instead of having to manually install it or download it with other launchers. Just be like, "This server requires buildcraft, do you want to download buildcraft?" and then just download it to play a server or such.

We have %gamename%.nexus site. And it's working just fine.
Use BOSS, NMM, maybe WryBash, delete contradicting mods and everything will be fine. BOSS alone will be a great deal to deal with conflicting mods. No need of such fancy thing as steam workshop.
Even if there will be steam workshop, you won't get rid of mod A conflicts with mod B, C and H situations.

The reason why I like steam workshop is that if something is contradicting rather than booting up the game will give you a warning. With nexus mods and that it's a pain in the ass cause if BOSS and that doesn't catch it you'll have to find out what's not working yourself. It's just a huge pain in the ass if they don't catch the conflicting mods.
