As for what I'm supposed to do, I'm 88M (Motor Transport Operator, aka truck driver). Normally we only drive five-tons stateside, but we turn into a HET unit overseas.

 As I mentioned on the Chat thread, I was initially going to be on UH-60 repair, but my eyes aren't good enough. So now I get to be the dumbass that just shoots things while you and Camo do all the smart/skilled people's work.

 I had the option of being one, but then I realized I'd have to deal with people on a regular basis. So I said "Fuck that" and signed up for Aviation. I got a surprising (Well, not so surprising, considering my ASVAB score) number of coveted openings. Then only managed to reserve the one I wasn't qualified for.

NG works by giving out slots that are open on a state-level, and once they're filled (depends on state, mine is small so not a lot of options) you just can't get them. I'm hoping to land a spot to reclass, or at least head to Air Assault/Pathfinder school (both of which are in my state) by the time my six years are up.

Revolvers in general, nowadays, are really obsolete. Their reputation for toughness and simplicity is exaggerated and has been completely surpassed by more modern pistols like the Glock

Which kind of ironic in a way given it's a replica of a gun from Blade Runner, which depicted a cyberpunk future dominated by Japanese megacorps.

yeah its a cool looking gun! problem with putting rifle rounds in a cylinder is they run much hotter your normal pistol rounds.

Well, it being semi-auto, rounds would either be fed through the grip, or out in front of the trigger group. Option one leaves you with a giant-ass, ridiculous grip even if you were firing the relatively puny 5.56 round, and option two makes the weapon so big and bulky that it takes away any of the advantages of purchasing a pistol. There are, of course, weapons of such size, such as "AR-15 pistols", but virtually all weapons of that nature and layout are more a novelty or a range toy at best than anything useful.
