It makes me cringe when I ever hear that, just like when I hear a Marine liking the Beretta M9. The only problem I have faced with the M9 is that it jams a lot even when taken care of plus it is a lot heavier compared to something like the Glock 19 or other 9mm variants.

Well, a factor in that would be that the 19 is a compact model for concealed carry--the full-size 17 model would be a fairer comparison; though even the 17 is a bit lighter. Apparently; heavier use of steel rather than polymer is the culprit. I'm informed that the M9 is capable of more pinpoint accuracy than a Glock or similar weapon but, honestly, if you're needing pinpoint accuracy from a pistol, you're probably fucked like a football bat anyway, since pistols are defensive weapons under any circumstance.

I really need to get a range membership sometime soon. I have a feeling the middle of winter would be a great time to go; nobody else to bother me and I can get rid of however many rounds of 7.62x54R as I want. Three spam cans last a while. But my Vaquero eats ammo in what seems an instant. Had a 100 rounds going there and they seemingly disappear.

That's the beauty of manual-action weapons like pump and bolt-actions--they tend to conserve ammo

Picked up a Type 38 Arisaka. Decent condition, and unlike my two Type 99's, the stock is intact. The guy also had an AR-180, but I lacked the money to procure such a fine piece of machinery. It was weird, looking at it doesn't make you think of an AR-15, but when you hold it everything is more or less in the same place, right down to the rear flip-sight.
