Devin Townsend, for his decent range of intensity and ability to make songs that are just plain fun. One problem is that he seems to do bombastic almost exclusively.

Never realized how much I actually know about Warhammer 40k until I started reading A Foul Light Shines, because someone here recommended it, and I understood every single Warhammer reference. Not very impressive I hear you say, but I've never read or played anything Warhammer 40k related, except for maybe a wiki page or two that I've been linked to and of course the aforementioned crossover.
