Then today I found this place and I am in awe. You even got somber himself commenting here from time to time. That is amazing.

In spite of his best efforts, Goldenblood will end up saving the world. I like Goldie. I'm kind of unclear on one thing though, did he survive the end of the world? He was in that place, that time, in that thing and he could still be alive because of that thing or he could be a ghoul. But given his physical condition before the end of the world, it's really somewhat unclear if he survived or not.


Also, you know who is a great character? That pony who runs the finders on friendship island. The place with Gun. The whole "Trade will save the wasteland." thing is a good idea. I suck at names though so I don't recall clearly, was it Bottlecap? That name dredged itself out of the depths of my brain, I think that was her. Good character design on Bottlecap. 

This was my 69th post! Now it is clear, chapter 70 needs to revisit Flank. The universe has spoken!

Ghouls in FO:E are dead. If GB is a ghoul he technically didn't survive because he's dead. I think Jaded is saying that he doesn't know if GB is a ghoul or not.

It also blatantly says he's a ghoul though. It straight up says he was the first canterlot ghoul, along with BJ's comment of "How didn't I realise this sooner?"

Ah, ok. Yes, that was what I was asking. I just was trying to avoid spoilers. I thought perhaps the machine BJ got him out could have been keeping him in suspended animation all that time. Because remember, Luna did something to him the night that the ministries were conceived. Some magic so powerful is winded an alicorn that made him not die from the exposure to the pink at littlehorn. 

It's a moot point unless that something was a version of a soul jar that kept him alive for her with a small fragment of Alicorn essence in him. Something that if surrendered, could make her soul whole again. It would explain why he could not seem to tell her no.

Difficult question.. you can't just say who is best pony. But hmmm I really like P-21 a lot so let's go with him. But I love all the others just as much! And well Blackjack is fighting for first place as well, and somber's take on pre-war twilight.

If that's the case, then why would Twilight still wear the disguise? And more than that, Big Mac was as torn up as Twilight by the breakup, but he deemed it necessary. I don't see a soldier like him suddenly changing his mind on something so important all of a sudden.

Maripony was a private identity between them that allowed Twilight and Macintosh to have a relationship.  Otherwise she would have been encouraged to put it on hold till after the war by Luna.  After all, can't have the ministry mares having tawdry lives on their own when there's a war on!

Big MAcintosh wasn't going to break it off.  In fact, he was going to leave the Marauders and the war and marry Twilight in secret.  Five years of killing was enough for him.  Goldenblood roped him in for one more mission: to guard Princess Celestia at the peace summit.  If he'd survived, he would have not re-enlisted and instead retired.  Several other marauders would have as well: Psalm, Twist, Doof, and Vanity.  When people questioned this, it would have started a tide against maintaining the war.  Twilight would have left for non-war related research and soon her friends afterwards.  Offensive operations would be scaled back.  In time, the zebras would reciprocate.  It's hard to demonize Luna when she's not trying to seize control of coal fields.

 Thank you so much for clearing that up, and wow Psalm you was actually the reason the world went to shit. Sober likes his tragedies a lot it seems. But this is also the reason why we have Blackjack so I'm not too unhappy about it.
