I don't have any contact there, but if France interest you, you could try to poke around some of the big US-held companies, like Hewlett-Packard (HP).

As for my own personal network, the only workplace I know where only speaking English might not be too severe a problem is the french equivalent of the Department of Energy (the CEA), so I'm not sure you'd even pass the mandatory background check. Plus, we may not have parted on the best terms, so I can't really ask them any service.

In the anglosphere at large, there's a number of Banks in the City of London, and in the UK in general, who may be interested by someone with your profile (you worked on something statistics-related, right?).

Otherwise, last I checked, Ireland had a relatively large IT industry, and they're a mostly english-speaking country.

I'm working at State Statistic Service of Ukraine, though only as IT support + Sys/Network Admin. Well..plus I 'support' all kinds of meetings, including press-conferences. Only from tech side, mind you.
Right now I'm trying get in Ciklum  company, that provides outsource IT services. Few of my friends already work there (in Ukraine, not in other country). From there - I could get easier start in foreign company in other country.

Just saw Guardians of the Galaxy.

I also saw Guardians earlier. I actually really liked it--funny as hell, pretty cool, and introduced the other side of the Marvel-verse (alien civilizations) that had previously been ignored in favor of each-based superheroes
