Well I'm sorry for not noticing it sooner when it would have been easier to keep in check...O. Hinds wrote:Okay, Psychohy's eyes are supposed to be blue. Oops. I'll be working on that once I finish this latest round of 68 corrections.
No problem, and thanks. And as for the class and project, it turns out that the project is much easier than I thought. The professor just left, oh, a rather large number of important details off the assignment. And then wondered why so many students were confused.
I'm glad your class project wasn't so bad, that's definitely a relief. Professors do seem to enjoy doing that sometimes...
Leaving it in the deleted scene sounds like a fine idea.O. Hinds wrote:Okay, I think that the eyes are fixed now. There's one more instance I found in the deleted scene, but I decided to leave that one.
Thank you for the help, Icy.Icy Shake wrote:Don't know if you got the yellow eyes outside of 68, but just in case, here are the ones I found:

Ah, thank you. Both of those had already been spotted and fixed, but every pass seems to miss something.Last wrote:Chapter 68

"We like to believe we have freewil, that we are in control of our destinies. Then we find out we have far less control then we like."
"eliminating destructive and unnecessary free will"
GB seems conflicted on whether or not free will exists.
"Self defense"
Well technically this would count. If she doesn't kill him she gets vaporized by laser turrets. You could hardly call someone who killed another person with a gun to their head a murderer.
Anyone remember if BJ killed the Peco's mare? I'm not sure if she's missing from the execution scene. Pretty sure GB or the computer tried the mercy kill angle.
After BJ negotiates with the AI I'm convinced we need a story about a future hacker who steals credit card and other sensitive information by talking with the AI that manages it. This security system is just a little silly.
"He spoke as if adressing an idiot."
Given the circumstances... You are drinking and there is the issue of time. But don't let that stop you. I'm loving the hard time you're giving him.
"I will obliterate you anon!"
Wat.
"Tenebra/BJ and Stygius/BJ Kiss"
Glory may need to give you a list.
"That's basically her version of a victory dance."
Aww. Poor thing.
"It hadn't been acessed since shadowbolt tower."
Three months ago. And they were pretty much mass produced then.
"I really... Really wanted to see Morning Glory again."
Weirdly formal there BJ. Not like the reunion is going to be strictly business.
"Asking Glory."
Tenebra, find yourself a mare that's for you. Maybe she's not a hero but still it looks like you're just into BJ because she saved you. Maybe she's not looking for a relationship, personally it doesn't look like she wants just sex. Besides she'd worked a lot better with a doctor. Afterall her seizing out might extend to the bedroom. My two cents.
"Why no, actually, now that you mentioned it."
BJ, you should know those freebies have their limits. Has Charity taught you nothing?
"Impostors"
Convincing Glory shouldn't be too bad. Just say Fallen Glory or Go Fish.
Not sure if I'm alone here but I thought Calamity was drunk.
Don't really see the point in baiting Zodiac into a fight like BJ did. I don't mean to be an asshole but it seems like the only reason she did that was to get around the "I'm not an executioner" thing. But if she's actively working ways around it then she's fooling herself. But I guess if it gets her to kill the dangerous people then fine.
And it ends with Glory. No idea if she knows this is the real BJ or not. In the months BJ was watching through the perceptitron she never saw an impostor but that doesn't mean Glory hasn't come into contact with them. Doesn't mean she has either.
I liked the later parts of the chapter. Not really a fan of GB, up till they got out the pod he kinda felt like an obstacle if I'm honest. Tenebra had some cute/sad momemts. Glad we're done with Stygius it seems.
Not sure if Pip's gang being involved is a good thing or a bad thing. We might get to see Homage fight, that's not something we saw in the orginal.
Definitely want to see what's going on with Glory. I think that the only thing that could really hurt Glory is something that made her reflect on their relationship in some way. Not something that could be solely blamed on Cognitum. While it could really be as simple as something like Cognitum struck her. I find it hard to believe that's what it is.

Sorry if those thoughts just come off as bitching. I don't really know how to give them. I might be able to work it out eventually though.
You appear to have misread. The first instance is him describing his own view, but the second is him describing what he thinks Cognitum's is.Last wrote:GB seems conflicted on whether or not free will exists.

it should be either "Rampage's a run for its" or "Rampage a run for her," probably the former
I returned the favor by sharing a few secrets I’d learned, like the details of how Goldenblood’s affair with Fluttershy had ended and how her baby had survived to become the reaper Psychoshy.

One of them is two weeks after the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows and the other is about ten years on; PH is currently, IIRC, three months or so after the Day.Exodus Hero wrote:As for the timelines, I was thinking that the epilogue was sooner rather then later (I've read the original once and was dissatisfied with the ending almost as much as The Village or Mass Effect 3) and just threw the quote out there in case there was a flaw in my rant and someone would correct me.
I still disagree, sorry. She may have thought that a fight was the inevitable outcome, but that doesn't mean that it was her desired result. If all she wanted was a fight, she could have gotten to it more quickly. Instead, she procured a reliable witness and prodded Silver Stripe into monologuing.Last wrote:@Hinds I don't think that BJ could have expected any other outcome. In that sense it's baiting.

If you know the results before hand and they're not desired you change the plan. Either to accomadate that outcome or to alter the outcome. There was no bucket of wonderglue to throw on her and no other way to arrest her. With no way to arrest her what does a confession and a witness do other than clear BJ's name when she cracks open Zodiac's brain jar?

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
I think it was also about actually confirming guilt. Blackjack needs all the friends she can get if she's going to turn things around. Last thing she needs is an enemy in disguise. She's a mare on a mission. Even if she knows it means death to her enemies she won't let it stop her from walking her road. It's not about justice, ergo I wouldn't say it's execution.Last wrote:O. Really thought this chapter was fantastic! The action was top notch as always and I really enjoyed the dialog. Lot of great surprises this chapter and even got one of my long standing questions answered.
While the cliffhanger was easy to spot, I was looking forward to it none the less and I am just on pins and needles wanting to see the next chapter! Not sure how to hide spoiler talk, so I'll just say I'm excited to see this final conflict and am really hoping the best for Blackjack and company.

You wrap your text in "spoiler" but use brackets in place of quotations and you close it by doing the same thing with "/spoiler". Also be sure to have the little page button in the lower right corner clicked.

Why I am getting the feeling that turning Hoofington and most of the surrounding region into a giant crater would actually be an improvement over the current situation?
Provided, that is, that you don't awaken the EoS in the process.

I believe it was stated the radius would be huge enough to cover a large portion of Equestria. And even if it wasn't, it'll kick up a lot of dust and debris. Probably enough to create a second cloud curtain, this one also bringing radioactive dust and assorted debris with it.Harmony Ltd. wrote:There is, however, the Grandmother of all kinetic kill impactors currently being targeted at the core.

Of course. Still, globally an improvement over the next likely scenario (barring an EoS reawakening from absorbing the star spirit bound to Tom), which is to say Cognitum taking over the whole of Equus with the power of the Tokomare, while being likely driven mad by the increasing power of the EoS with every passing year and more and more soul being collected, culminating after a few centuries or millenia in the EoS reawakening.

No, Folly is a fundamentally different weapon; it's an energy beam rather than a kinetic kill projectile.

I don't care if it makes sense, you should keep doing them anyway. I especially liked the one with the markers and the one with Calamity. I think from now on I'll have trouble thinking of his voice as anything but a flanderized Boomhauer, which is weird because I've never watched that show much, and the style here isn't even that similar. Ah, well.swicked wrote:This chapter gave me some humorous ideas. Here are a few of them.
- Missed Opportunities:
((I didn't think Psychoshy would be that disturbed by the knowledge that guy who had sex with her mother, someone she knew nothing about and assumed dead simply because several centuries tends to do that to ponies, was still alive. I was somewhat overruled, but still, this is how I think the conversation between them would have gone... roughly.))
Psychoshy: "So, you're my biological dad."
Goldenblood: "That seems to be the case."
Psychoshy: "You are the one that rutted my mom."
Goldenblood: "...made love to, yes."
Psychoshy: "And you're a ghoul."
Goldenblood: "Well... yeah, if that's what this is called."
Psychoshy: "That's, um... hot?"
Goldenblood: "Wha?"
Psychoshy: "I mean, I don't know, do we fuck now? 'Cause I'm just not feeling it."
Goldenblood: "You... what? Why would you even-"
Psychoshy: "I mean, you're all weak and... effeminate. Not that that's always a bad thing. I mean, it is to me, but hey... plenty of ghouls in the wasteland, right?"
Goldenblood: "What are you going on abou-"
Psychoshy: "Look, full disclosure... a while back, right after Sangy? Probably would have given it a go. I was pretty fucking desperate. As of now, though, maybe we can find someone in Meatlocker that's interested in licking your jerky."
Goldenblood: "Uh, Whisper, look... I'm not interested in getting hooked up. Neither now nor ever again. I'm a seemingly-immortal monster whose committed nothing but some of the worst atrocities this world has ever seen for most of my existence and now want nothing more than for Blackjack to kill me."
Psychoshy: "Ah, another one of those. Well, just-"
Goldenblood: "Excuse me, 'another one'? I don't think you realize just how much I've done. I-"
Psychoshy: "You ever decide to go without sleep then run around for decades popping the heads of children off?"
Goldenblood: "Uh, no-"
Psychoshy: "You ever decide to lead around a band of infected, psychotic cannibals, raping and killing and raping again dozens of ponies daily?"
Goldenblood: "No, my gosh, who in-"
Psychoshy: "You ever take over a slave quarry, working thousands of ponies under you either to death or insubordination, in the latter case then turning them to more stone to fill the quarry?"
Goldenblood: "Look, I'm the reason the world is going to end! The rock falling down from the sky? That's because of me!"
Psychoshy: "Uh huh, well, props for scale, but none for actual kill count. Blackjack's gonna stop the rock, because she's Blackjack. What else have you got?"
Goldenblood: "I helped form and sustain the Equestrian government that was capable of this apocalypse!"
Psychoshy: "And there goes the did-it-with-good-intentions."
Goldenblood: *growls* "I am a terrible person who deserves to die for his crimes and I deserve an execution just and fitting for the worst pony that has ever lived by someone who knows and understands the scope of my sins against ponykind!"
Psychoshy: *annoyed* "...you know, I WILL give you one thing. I'd always heard Fluttershy was a pushover, so now I finally know where I got my ego from." *pats Goldenblood on the back* "Don't worry, you'll fit in fine. Now, one, do you have a gun on you, and two, do you know where Blackjack has run off to? It's time to get you initiated and I think I'm going to particularly enjoy this one."
***
*just before teleporting off with Charm to get to the Collegiate, notices something on her leg*
Blackjack: "...lout?"
Psychoshy: *stops, then bursts out laughing*
Blackjack: *checks her side* "Ninnyhammer?" *puts down Charm and strains to look at her belly* "Portly toad? Wha?"
Psychoshy: "You were-" *laughs* "-you were out cold for a while, you know, after we ended up in Equestria but before we started getting attacked... and I couldn't resist, not after all the crap you pulled earlier. It just started out as a dumb-looking mustache and the word 'cunt' on your forehead, but Tenebra caught me partway through the 'n'. She laughed so hard I thought she was gonna spaz, then took the marker and just wrote 'Loggerhead!' across your back. I don't even understand half the stuff she wrote, but if anything, that just makes it MORE hilarious." *falls down laughing*
Blackjack: *blank look, then grins* "Well, if you two can bond at my expense, who am I to complain?"
Zodiac: Okay, just... before you go any further, why are you covered in middle-aged profanity?
Blackjack: I dunno, people getting even WITHOUT shooting me? Talk about weird...

Persephone: Good news, Hades! The attacks have abated and the doctor for this "Collegiate" that came over said your eyesight should recover in full. See? I told you it would work out.
Hades: *groan*
Persephone: What is it, darling? Doesn't this news improve your outlook? Before long you'll be back to keeping the watch over our people.
Hades: *groans louder*
Persephone: And to think, if you'd only had the foreSIGHT to try and VIEW things from Blackjack's PERSPECTIVE you wouldn't have ended up in a fight with one of the most dangerous mares in the world! Just PICTURE what that would have LOOKED like!
Hades: *groans as loud as he can*
Persephone: What a VISION that would have been! Instead of trapping a mare trying to save countless people in the living world we are now, ourselves, stuck in because she couldn't PERCEIVE of a way out but to fight you, we could have SEEN to making sure there'd be a safe place for us in this world! Would that we could have WITNESSED that!
Doctor Pony: Uh, is everything alright in here?
Persephone: Oh, of course. Just helping my husband spot all the ways he brought this on himself.
Hades: She's killing me with puns.
Persephone: Only your pride, dear. Luna knows it's lived long-enough already.
***
Calamity: "Folks out east is twigged like nopony I ain’t never seen before."
Blackjack: *blink blink*
Calamity: "Wut ain't not the matter with you non-westerners, anyhow? Why, I nearly didn't miss buckin the noggin off one fool that didn't think it tweren't not a damn terrible idea to dress not unlike myself, trottin' around talkin' like he ain't never hadn't had a sensible accent!”
Blackjack: "Can I... can I get a piece of paper or something?"
Calamity: "Wut, you ain't gonna take dictation, are ya? I can't help not admittin', I ain't often failed to think my words, as not particularly un-poetic as they ain't never been, shouldn't be goin' un-recorded. You know, fer posterity."
Blackjack: "No, I just... how many is that? Velvet?"
Velvet : *shrug* "I usually just agree. It's faster."
Calamity: "What ain't you two not sayin'?"
Velvet: *ahem* "Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't never not say anything un-disrespectful about the way you talk."
Calamity: "Oh... okay then."
Velvet: *whispers* "Honestly, I don't think even he keeps track."

Littlepip: No! Go away! I sacrificed myself for the wasteland! I get to be all stoic and lonely and not have to deal with you anymore!!
Blackjack: Oh come on, Littlepip, don't be that way... we just want to keep you company...
Littlepip: No! Homage, you cut this connection right nor or I'll- *watches as Homage wiggles her flanks and winks**blushes* -have to, uh... please?
Homage: Sorry sweetie, but I owed her a favor and I haven't gotten to sit in on one of these yet.
Littlepip: *nearly crying in frustration* Why? Why me? Isn't there ANYONE more deserving?
Blackjack & Homage: No.
Littlepip: *glares*
Blackjack: Now, if there are no more interruptions-
Littlepip: GO AWAY!
Blackjack: -I can start! Ahem. Wow, Littlepip, quite a setup you have there, with that big, comfy chair! And, what, that helmet lets you interface with the machine directly? Now novel!
Littlepip: *whining* Yes, the only thing it's lacking is a way to cut communications that isn't hackable.
Blackjack: I mean, my experiences integrating with machines haven't been anywhere near as unobtrusive. To start, there's the time my legs were replaced with mechanized ones. You remember back when we met, that was after my original ones became giant tentacle tumors, were nailed to the ground and then ripped from my body.
Littlepip: Celestia, please, kill me now.
Celestia: No can do.
Littlepip: Dammit.
Blackjack: Really, I got a lot of things in me replaced. Luckily, they never touched my best bits. Not even when I went full cybercorn! My lips were practically the only things that weren't cut and peeled away. Both sets. Have you ever gotten your face stripped? I just couldn't look away! Literally. It removed my eyelids.
Littlepip: Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.
Blackjack: I'm getting to that. ANYway, I eventually ended up in the core. Crazy, that place. It has some things similar with Canterlot, really. Both Pink Cloud and Enervation kill you by turning you into flesh pudding. The difference being, instead of also sometimes creating ghouls, the flesh pudding in Hoofington sometimes turns into nightmarish clusters of scorpions all merged together that dig into you and rip you apart. And worse. My friend Rampage got drug down by one of those monsters once and she said-
Littlepip: *her complexion mottled green and white, her eyes go wide* Wait! Using other pony's experiences is cheating!
Rampage: *pops up on the screen* I was trapped for weeks in a massive, bloated sack of flesh that was like a sponge of teeth and strings and blood. It created and filled more orifices than I thought I could ever possibly have, throbbing and mushing and twisting as it-
Littlepip: *faints*
Rampage: ...huh. Well, that was fun. Do we wait until she recovers, or...?
Homage: *a little green in the face* No, no I think we've both had enough fun for now.
Rampage: But we've got SO MUCH more to tell her!
Homage: *cuts the connection* Yeah, no.
Blackjack: Don't worry, Rampage, we can just go visit her in person!
Rampage: Yay! *both run off*
Homage: Huh, I guess there IS such a thing as being too impish.

Here's my contribution, O.Hinds. Pretty sure there should be an 'of' after 'lieu'.

((oh, and before anyone says anything, I didn't particularly, either :P))

*Littlepip is sitting in the SPP, scanning the sky and ground and maintaining meteorological balance when a nearby monitor fuzzes over and a picture starts cycling, the vertical sync slowly normalizing to show-*
Littlepip: Oh. Nope. *jerks her head and the monitor goes dark*
*a moment of silence before another monitor starts fuzzing*
Littlepip: No. *jerk, dark*
*multiple monitors fuzz*
Littlepip: No. No no no no no. *jerk, those dark*
*the rest of the monitors fuzz*
Littlepip: NO! *jerk, all dark*
*moment of silence, then all the monitors come on at once to show a grinning Homage at her controls with an even wider-grinning Blackjack in front of her*
Littlepip: No!

I was under the impression that Folly was an experiment to see how starmetal and moonstone interacted so Goldie could have an idea on how Horizons would work.Derpmind wrote:

- Calling it!:
- Chapter 69 starts with Gloryjack heated arguing. Chapter 69 ends with Gloryjack heated 69ing. Chapter 70 starts with dedGlory Possibly bad nightmare or even worse 1h timejump.
Scotch's scredriver will be involved.
On a a vaguely related lewd note, the computer/robot's fixation on the execution reminded me a lot of a fetishistic masturbation cycle. In particular, the thing with the whole shouting "BANG!" and simu-Goldie losing his cool and flopping over seems like a parallel to the conclusion. And the computer is so put out for not having it because it's like the whole denial thing.
I would draw connections between shotgun BANGing and being trapped in a bubble, but the only ones there are the ones I made up.

Watch Chapter 69 be a joke lemon chapter
Explicit sex is rarely portrayed in Fallout Equestria fics, so I doubt we'll get anything juicy to clop to, most of 69 is probably going to be Blackjack catching up on the...what was it? 3 Months she vanished?
