See, here's the deal. I can be a cunt asshole at times, but that's all part of my manly charm. I'm not an absolute cunt asshole or anything, only when it's funny and only in small portions each time.
Otherwise I'm naturally a very friendly, funny, caring guy whose also helpful by nature.
It's why I do.

Exactly. Jokes aside, you have that whole gentle giant shtick going on. And while a ways from classically handsome, you're pretty cute. So to people who don't know you, as long as you weren't being outwardly violent or insane, you'd project a feeling of safety, stability, and comfort. And to people who do know you, well, less stability perhaps but a lot more fun.

All in all, far from an unattractive package to anyone who isn't trying for a prince, a bad boy, or a movie star.

I never really think of it like that. I just go HUUR DUUR IM NO TOM CRUISE HUUR DUUUR and continue on with things because there's a strange comfort in thinking you're ugly and just having it be that way.
(Though I probably wouldn't feel this way if it wasn't for my childhood being filled with cruel childhood things to make me feel so..)

As for the aura I produce... you're right I suppose. I don't think about that not because huur duur reasons, but because it's just who I am and what I do.
I see myself as Atlas, he whom should shoulder the weight of an entire world and hold others into lofty safety and security.
Helping out and keeping others safe feels like my calling, so I can see what you mean.

I guess I consider myself average, I would find someone hitting on me to be a little strange, but that's just my social awkwardness 'I don't know how to respond' thing going on there

Strangely for me, despite being unsocial, I find flirting to be damn easy. In fact, I find just about all social stuff to be pretty easy, I just don't feel the need to do it most of the time.

I just have a natural tendency to go for humour and be friendly, which is a positive thing when flirting. Just make a small joke or ask them about themselves, nothing to it. (Edit: aside from the standard compliments, of course.)

Never been hit on by a guy, though I wouldn't freak out if I was. I'd definitely give things a try at least once, if they met my standards. (Which, I don't think are too high. I have self respect though, mind you.)

Shush, single digit numbers are fine. I definitely have to say I've only been hit on a few times but flirting? Flirting is a whole 'nother matter to me, because I'm a natural flirt. I like to compliment people and to see them smile, I also like to make people laugh and so I often give out little flirts to people and get them in return. Wouldn't quite call it being hit on in every case, just some fun.

Still, it's a whole lot better to be like that and know that if it comes to it, you can hold down a relationship properly - unlike one of my friends who tries to move too fast in EVERY relationship he ever gets into because he hasn't got a brain and figures relationships MUST mean marriage and living together or the other friend who just thinks with his dick non stop and is on the other end of the spectrum. He claims his sexual partner count to be somewhere around 17 by 22 (he's 8 days younger than me) and even when he was engaged, he was hitting on a coworker and trying to pretend he wasn't.

I sometimes flirt for amusement. I typically keep it confined to people I know don't swing my way, primarily to avoid leading anybody on accidentally, and also because their reactions are often hilarious.

When I'm on the receiving end, unless it's from a friend I know for a fact isn't interested, I typically attempt a polite deflection (or failing that, an awkward absconding). Pretty much anyone thinking of me as a potential romantic partner is going to be disappointed and I figure it's better to cut things off early to avoid uncomfortableness later on.

Flirting in and of itself is fun, but it's way too easy to misinterpret as something serious and that tends to lead to hurting people.

Essentially, I appear to have a strange property that makes people see me as attractive only if there is no chance of anything happening between us. =P So yeah, I have more or less given up on analyzing it, which is probably for the best.
