Not to his face, but hell your going to be in for it for a week or two. Accept it as a fact of life and you can move beyond it. Think it will never end and that stuff can pile up on you and cause you to make a worse mistake which will axe you.

Well, that sucks. I don't have any advices to provide, so I'll just say... endure.

Bosses come and go, the work itself will always need to be done in any case.


The only thing I can say, is that as sad as it is, the only way to gain some amount of protection against that kind of bullshit it to let people know about the problem, and repeat it loudly enough often enough as long as it will not have been fixed.

People are going to dislike you for annoying them with your "petty" "bullshit", but at least your ass will be covered and noone will be able to say that they didn't get any warning.

After all, you're not at work to make any friends but to get the job done. Especially if it's something critical like that.


Not saying it's your fault, simply a general advice for that kind of stuff : if you want shit to get done, you have to make sure people can't ignore you, and not let them rest until what you want to be done has been done. Because otherwise, like you saw, it's going to get lost in limbo, at the bottom of everyone's "to-do" pile.
