Coffee drinking is something I dislike too. Sleep, dammit. (Pfft, like I'm one to talk. I don't sleep nearly as much as I know I should, partially because of my involvements with groups like this.) I've drank coffee once all year, and it was mostly because it had hot chocolate in it. It was good, and it did keep me awake through soc. studies and music. It bugs me when I see someone who cannot function, or functions poorly, without coffee. I don't like the taste of tea, myself, but whatever.

Also, cheddar. All of my yes to cheddar. My soul to cheddar.

Tea! Oh man there is a world of tea that i am missing... honestly there is so much you can do with it, I had this green ea with cherry blossoms, it was sweet not super sweet but the light motes from the cherry blossoms really gave a great fragrance and just a light cherry flavor to the tea and it was utterly brilliant

I really like teas made from dried fruits...

Changing the subject, is there any number that you guys seem to bump into a lot? For me, it's 134. I noticed that, as I was about to go to bed... 1:34 AM. I see it so often. I was online when my first fic got its 134th view. It's just everywhere for me.

I generally loathe getting drunk, but I only do it because I appreciate the process, not for the express purpose of being in an altered state. I feel drinking for the purpose of becoming intoxicated is a waste of liquor.

Yeah, you really need to know ahead of time the character of the place you'll be drinking. Other than asking around or an internet search, I don't know what to tell you.

I've long been of the opinion that at least one of a) bacon or b) some type of cream product can be added to almost any dish to improve it, contingent perhaps on their prior absence.

On caffeinated beverages: I like coffee--mostly as a little pick-me-up in the morning, and I largely picked it up because it's healthier than soda--which I prefer black, but often take with cream to speed cooling; I've yet to find a tea I could enjoy. Where flavor is concerned, I like hot chocolate the best.

No offense taken, I know I'm weak when I drink to lighten up (it's 1 of the 2 ways I've found that actually makes me calm down and become social, otherwise I'm pretty uptight in public.) However, it makes me more 'likable' and seem like much less of an asshole to those I'm out with, so I don't mind using it specifically to lighten up.

I also greatly enjoy the flavor and don't get wasted very quickly if at all. I spread my drinking throughout the night. Once I get my happy buzz, I slow down, and take my time more. Drinking is a marathon, not a 100m dash.

@MechPic
Oh dear. The combined amount of angst that could be generated. The wasteland can't handle that.

Hilariously enough, smashing things with a hamma is hard when you haven't put much into defense. Rerolled character, instead now I'm making him a "throw some spiders" kind of guy that runs around and kites. It's very effective, 'cept for the fact that I keep running out of mp.

@drink discussion
No alcohol for me. Smells nice enough in cooking, but can't stand drinking any of it straight. Strangely though, caffeine, specifically coffee, puts me to sleep. Tea is probably what I can stand, specifically green tea.

Oh look I'm only ten posts behind, time to play some MvM and I'll get back to it, post 399 not to far ahead..

Three hours later... oh hello post 425, yeah forget that until the morning.
Also IncoherentOrange, not all drugs make you happy. Morphine makes me happy but I'm not taking it because I feel good but because I had a compound fracture and the nice ER tech gave me an injection for the pain.

Likewise I drink because I enjoy being buzzed, I don't enjoy being drunk just on the edge of it. I eat cookies because cookies are good, I drink to get buzzed even if I can drink people under the table if the need arises that's not what I drink when I go out.

Musical tastes?
It sounds generic and common, but I like just about everything.
Instrumental, orchestral, acoustic, alternative, rock, jazz, most metal (not screamo or whatever they call it now, that gives me a headache), some electronic/techno/whateverothernamestheyhave (again, only lighter stuff, to fast or too random gives me a headache), choir, some rap/hiphop (Eminem is one of the only ones I can stand, because I actually understand what he says in his lyrics), and country in moderation.

Never said that. Ever. A compound fracture is something I'd rather not have the displeasure of having, but pain relief is a different matter than just using drugs for the hell of it. Somewhat, at least. Pain is a reaction to your body having something wrong with it. Now that we can remove that sensation to ease treatment and recovery of the thing that causes this pain, I don't see the purpose of not treating it with some nullifier. If the nullifier also makes you feel good, that's a side effect. I was once perscribed Tylenol-3, which contains codeine (as in, 30mg of it). Only ever took two of them. They did work, but I still felt like crap.

Musics? I like pretty much anything without lyrics that is not dubstep, and I can't say I really don't like dubstep. Definitely don't mind it as much as pop.

But, but, beer is good for yoooouuuuuuuu. Plus, it tastes delicious, or can anyhow (Don't drink B-M-C beer, it's horrible swill.). Gotta get the good stuff, like Hop Stoopid, The Abyss, or Mother of All Storms. (Side Note: If you do not regularly drink craft brew and try one of these beers, your face may explode in awesomeness or you may vomit a lung.)
I drink a few beers with friends every now and then, but then again, we are home brewers with a dark and evil plan of eventually starting our own brewery, so I guess it makes sense.

Tea is indeed pretty tasty. I like black teas, green tastes funny, and white tea is just boring in my opinion. A nice, malty Oolong tea usually hits the spot whenever I'm in the mood for the stuff.

Re coffee, tea:
All honesty? Coca-Cola. I wish it were easier to get cane sugar Coke, but whatever. Some of the best drinks I have ever had involved 1) taking a Coke out of a chilling device, 2) opening it, and 3) drinking it. Sure, a large part of that was context, but it'll always be my go-to for-pleasure caffeine source.
It really is too bad that it's simply awful for one's health.

"Under E!" A quote from the show, referencing how Pinkie notices near everything. Everything, that is, in obvious places no one thinks to look.

I'm not sure how to feel about the designations given to the figurines. The only one that I 100% agree with is the Rarity figure, and that's only because of very deliberate manipulation on Kkat's part and not because I intuitively feel Endurance suits her. The unexpected lengths she went through to prove her worthiness of that make the others seem so paltry in comparison. But you can't fit everything in, I suppose.

I don't drink alcohol. Nothing really against it, or the people who enjoy it, but I just don't see the appeal of intoxication. I've always felt that if I can't do something sober I shouldn't be doing it at all, and if a social event is only enjoyable while drinking I'm better off elsewhere. I can relax just fine without it (unless I'm under circumstances under which I shouldn't be relaxing anyway). As for the taste, most reasonably priced stuff seems to be terrible and most of the things people drink purely for the flavor seem to be more than I'd justify spending, but I freely admit to not having much experience in the area.

I am however very particular about my root beer. And, to a lesser extend, ginger ale.
And when I get my hands on a good sarsaparilla... Queen Pinkie Pie

Meanwhile I despise coffee; what I'm told is very high quality tastes kinda bad, almost all is truly terrible. Meanwhile I don't really get along with caffeine... it tends to make me sleepy and sometimes give me a headache in anything but the smallest quantities. And I get by great on an average of 4 hours sleep out of every 24 without it, and most coffee drinkers I know tend to be barely functional on 8-12 hours, so that's another factor.

I like tea sometimes; depends on the variety and my mood. Something minty or lemony is usually best and I hate it with milk or sugar.

Cheese is good, though I have little experience with the more esoteric varieties, dislike cheddar, and hate that plastic that is passed off as cheese by so many american sources.

Rather... eclectic. My Pandora stations started with Enter the Haggis, Jethro Tull, Nightwish, Basshunter, Marty Robbins, Two Steps From Hell, and Enya and grew randomly from there.

I generally like music with complexity to it: the good electronic stuff (rather than the screeching, thumping, or other meaningless noise), gothic/symphonic metal (rather than the snarly, screamy stuff most people think of when they hear the word), good orchestral pieces, that kind of thing.
Lyrics-wise, I look for strong emotion, a good story, or just think of them as another instrument (especially when they're in a language I don't know).

Very true. Though I don't do either, because I'm apparently immune to most painkillers, or at least all the ones I've encountered. Ibuprofen just makes me nauseous, aspirin gives be migraines, everything from tylenol to vicodin has no noticable affect, local anaesthetic paralyses the area but I still feel everything (making minor surgery like wisdom tooth removal interesting and causing me to very much hope I never need anything major)...

All in all it makes my frequent migraines much less pleasant than they would otherwise be.

Longer, I bet, than most of the folk here.

Do we... do we still do the welcome song, then?

Perhaps, then, the reason Rarity seems so much more deserving is that she actually succeeded. Twilight failed in her designs over the agonizing course of 200 years. Pinkie could never stop the bad guys in the end... and only got as far as she did with crippling 'help.' I know we've heard that Fluttershy seemingly held the devotion of her staff... but hearsay is hearsay. None of them have really had 'success' like Rarity has.
