Sure, in the show you could argue that it's fan's reading too far into heavily implied subtext, but it's basically canon in the movies.

Have you seen the movie? It's fantastic and that ending gives me so many feels. I also wish the Vita games had gotten a release outside of Japan, since they're basically different timelines from the show that are full of shiptease and legitimately interesting setting details.

Nope, I haven't yet. I don't wanna put in the effort in trying to find a site that works on my Xbox. I looked it up and apperently the Vita isn't region locked at least from what I'm seeing so you might be able to import the games. You already seem to know what happens in the game, I'm sure someone's gone through the effort of translating it online so you can read while you play. Not ideal of course but doable, assuming it's text heavy.

I have Dragon Age: Inquisition, now.
I don't think I've ever gotten any DA DLC before so, looking in DA Keep, just wondering what I should pick. Since I'd rather pretend I did stuff than pick any of the "did not encounter" options.
Any opinion on what to pick that leads to interesting NPCs, quests, plots, etc. being available?

Unfortunately, I've only played through the game once with my imported save-state, so I can't be super helpful when it comes to the long term implications of the DLC choices, but I'll try.

I'm assuming that you've played the three prior main games (Origins, Awakening, and II). Most of the DLC isn't going to have a huge impact compared to the events of the main games with a few exceptions. Witch Hunt is decently important for the choice you make at the end, and Legacy from DA2 is very important to the events of the game. The rest is sort of up to you, since a lot of times the DLC end in those fun morally-ambiguous decisions (DA2 loved those) and both are probably gonna get you an interesting result.

If you don't mind cheating, a good rule of thumb is that whenever possible, keep characters (especially companions) alive. If they're dead, they aren't going to influence your save-state all that much. If they're alive, they're probably going to have some influence somehow (And even if they're not directly in the game, a fair number of book-characters and former companions popped up on the War Table).
