So I was going through the YouTubes, when I cane across this. This guy makes songs for FoE characters now and then, and he's including Project Horizons now. He's done one for Blackjack and Rampage (though I've asked him, and he hasn't actually read PH).

He was never a ball of rage; he was cold hatred, boiling right under the surface.
Now his hatred is just a simmer.
Still, I think it would be difficult to make that into a song. Anyway, I liked the songs he has, and he occasionally does other characters (the most recent is Silver Bell) as well. So I suppose there may be a P-21 theme eventually, but how relative it will be if it does is questionable.

Edit: He also has a song called First Night Outside which, though based on another character, I though would fit Psalm extremely well.

Wait, hold up a second. He makes music for characters from a story that he's never even read before?
That's a little bit stupid, in my opinion. And no, this isn't PH specific that makes me think so, it's in general.
If you decide to make content for something off of your own back without ever having bothered to even look at the source material, how the hell can you do it justice? How can you know what to do? Can you even really claim that it's for the source in question and not just piggybacking off of the success of another to gain your own attention?

If someone had requested he do it, if they had given him the information required to make something relevant, sure.
If there was someone else behind the founding of that particular project and had asked him to do it, gave him a clue of what its all about, asked for a certain style and after that point, said he can have free reign over the rest of the creative room -- fair play. I don't tell an artist how every exact line has gotta be done nor do I force them to have it perfectly as I say because I know creative work is best when the person is given some guidance and some room, but I do tell them about what the characters look like and what they might be doing.

I just don't get how he can make music for something he's not read.

I definitely agree on that, but he's done his homework. The songs/videos each have a basic description of the character in the video description. I was skeptical at first, but I thought they turned out alright. Also he has read some of the original FoE, he just hasn't finished it.

I still don't think that's enough, personally, but hey. The thing is it's okay to hear from other people of what something is like, but until you've delved into it for yourself, you can never make your own first hand experiences and judgements about it.
I mean, you can be told about the angst. You can be told about the triumph. About the failures. You can be told about it all. But unless you've read it for yourself, or at least parts of it, you can't really -know- the character and how they act quite as much as know what they've done. There's the internal monologues and the actions that betray their own words and promises, there's god knows what else. It's just too much to summarise properly and portray every aspect.

He could be told of all the good things about Blackjack that makes he sound cool, but then when he goes to read it, turns out that he doesn't like it and was told of all these opinions and moments without context and then think to himself; wait, why did I produce this? I want nothing to do with it!
I mean, he could also read it and be glad he did do it. Perhaps he could read it and decide he didn't quite do it justice but he's glad he did it all the same.
...I dunno. Just seems like an odd thing to do for me.

Lots of actors and directors who do adaptations of novels have never read the source material during production, either.

To be fair, most people who have read the book hate the movies for their inaccuracies. Like I said though, he did look into the characters, if only a little bit.

Because I want to avoid the hub being so crowded that I can't get in, I shan't just now being saying how close the second part of the chapter is to release. I shall tell you, however, that what I've seen so far is Somber's baseline (which is of course far from horrible, no matter what he claims) at worst and awesome at best.

Thing here is that I did actually mention its different when being paid to do it. When you're being paid, chances are you're being told what kind of thing to do.

Well I finally got around to finishing chapter 60... Sorta. I got to the part where boo fell asleep in BJ's lap. Last part I read was about golden light vanishing, for some reason google docs keeps crashing my browser so if anyone would be willing to copy/paste what remained and send it to me via PM I'd be grateful. I think there's just a couple pages left.

Anyway.

Chapter 60 edits:

Chapter 60 thoughts:

I apologize ahead of time for any spelling errors. The browser I'm using doesn't tell me when I mispell and I'd have to retype the whole thing to check the words I'm unsure of.
