Aye. Spiders tend to keep to themselves, and they eat the things that don't.Harmony Ltd. wrote:I'm not sure I understand why so many people are afraid of spiders.
Though admittedly the spiders in my house are only a quarter the size of my hand and are content just to hang there in the corners and kill mosquitoes. I like them. They're our organic anti-mosquito measure.
In fact, I have a "crush-on-sight" policy with all the bugs I see inside the house (especially the roaches and those fucking centipedes), except the spiders.
Why all the arachnophobia ?
Agreed.Scienza wrote:Or just Scorch Mechanic. Even if he doesn't have a an accent, his voice gives me orgasms every time he talks. Hold on, BUT the number of enemies is extremely rare so that while the individual enemy is hard to kill it is still on average needing average skill level to beat the game. Think of it as the question of which would you rather fight a horse sized duck, or a hundred duck sized horses. Something that you're constantly shitting your pants in worry about potentially running into a enemy, but they're so rare that by the time one of them shows up you'll have shat yourself silly from fear of running into one more than your actual fear of the enemy.Scyto Harmony wrote:Let me stop you there - No.cb5 wrote:Something that is ungodly difficult,

As I've mentioned before, I'm not super familiar with many animes or mangas (fuck me if I know the plural form of either of those words) but, as far as I'm concerned, Berserk is very well-crafted, with a large, rich cast of characters (nearly all of whom are bastards in one way or another). The art is very, very well done and has great design (from the distinctive and stylized designs of the human armors and characters to the skull-fuckingly unique and twisted forms of the Apostles). The violence is balls-to-the-walls extreme (the main character is known for slaying a hundred men in a single battle, and is regularly shown crushing peoples' skulls beneath his feet) and the nudity....there's a lot of it, but you're some kinda fucked up if you're aroused by just about any of it. Other than one love scene between the hero and his ladyfriend (and even that goes wrong) most of the sex is of the non-consensual and usually demon-on-human varietyKattlarv wrote:@Frost: Is the series overly generic or bland with anything? Doubt I'll manage to get to it, but a bit interested to hear on that front at least.
- Spoiler:
- And, in the main character's backstory, huge-man-on-little-boy, though that wasn't as graphic as what came later.
You can go ahead and put me on that list.Kattlarv wrote:(Stuff) On side note, once I get the final piece, I'll offer to send people pm with a collection of five 18+ pony things. Would want some feedback on 2½ of them, and just overall opinion on the rest. There will be royal content, and some on the "exotic" side. You should all know what that means.

Also, I don't know if you guys are familiar, but Berserk was a big inspiration for the creators of Dark Souls (As is evident in how often the protagonists of both works get the shit kicked out of them), and it's fairly popular for players to do a "Guts Run", which means
>Heavy armor
>Two-handed swords
>One-handed crossbows (The game unfortunately lacks the arm-mounted automatic crossbow that Guts uses)
>I can't remember if Throwing Knives are in the game, but those are also part of the permitted arsenal
>No magic. Pyromancy is permitted, to replicate the fact that Guts has a black powder cannon built into his artificial arm.

Interesting thing. Only starting from Fo3 (IIRC) Brootherhood was portrayed as 'raiders in power armor' or someone who doesn't care.
In Fo 2 - they help and guide Chosen One, despite (s)he's been tribal. Yes, wanting something in return, but they help anyway.

You mentioned that earlier, yeah.swicked wrote:No, they captured people fresh from within vault 13, completely unmutated, and Arroyo, a lightly-mutated settlement of tribals.Mister Frost wrote:In Fo2, they had low numbers but were extremely skilled, tough opponents who were capable of subtle, intricate plotting (and planned to poison the water supply, if I remember correctly.)
They then experimented with a sort of FEV poison that would specifically kill people who were mutated by radiation, leaving everyone else fine. Just like in Fallout 3, I believe.
But it was an aerosol and they were going to release it into the jetstream. Full saturation across the world in FAR less time.
Sorry for any unfamiliarity with Fo2's story. The damn game continues to scream like a child cornered by her creepy uncle whenever I try to fire it up, so all I know about the story is what I've learned skimming the wiki.

Get game from Gog.com
@swicked
Still, tribal.
Starting from Fo 3 almost anyone treated by Brootherhood like well..dirt might be wrong word here. And I'm not talking about Lion's Brootherhood. Outcast act like they're 2 seconds away from turning you into a paste. At least patrols are and those from Anchorage DLC. The one that you can bring equipment to exchange act slightly better towards you.

Still watching AoT. Eren has Anime Main Character Syndrome, in which he can inspire others and pull of random BS nobody else can cause reasons.
I like this anime, it has a lot of the stuff I watch anime for.

Exactly. I always thought that they were the ones who needed help, more than the main chapter. Especially since they reward Wastelanders rather handsomely (with, for poorer scavvers, outright lifesaving ammo, grenades, and medicine) and they were more polite to the player than most other NPCs (especially once you'd brought them a good deal of stuff).swicked wrote:That's because they're the outcast. All they wanted to do was be a part of the brotherhood they swore their oaths to... instead, after they left their local chapter, they were branded as twice traitors by the real brotherhood and have to live with broken-down equipment in a position that's far harder to defend than a proper brotherhood bunker. Their enemies are everywhere and they're living on borrowed time. They hate everybody, really.
And let's admit--their armor looked way cooler than that of the chapter proper.

I'm not gonna lie. If I had it my way, Final Destination 6 would be from the perspective of this one oblivious, unlucky bus driver who, driven by the cruel had of Fate, flits from bus company to bus company, forever doomed to have star-crossed morons walking in front of his bus.Katarn wrote:

That's like saying "Star Trek: Enterprise" isn't canon. Perhaps it's true (I'm really, really not a Trekkie, so fuck if I know) but everyone prefers to say it didn't happen regardless, so it makes little difference.
