Yeah, there's a lot of shitty self-insert HiE fics. Yeah, 90% of humanized pony stuff is shit. But 90% of everything is shit. Stories with humans in them are no worse than stories without humans in them, no fucking reason is given for any of this, and it completely blocks out a huge set of possible awesome stories.

Well, if I needed another reason to not be writing on Fimfiction...

edit: I also note with amusement that all the top rated comments are protesting this, and about half of the attempts to defend it by the person running the site are auto-hidden because of all the downvotes.

Yeah, I've got enough content for the first video now. It's a case of cutting it all and doing a voice-over for it now.
I've recorded something like two and a half, maybe three hours of gameplay.

Trouble is most of that needs cutting out.

The case is high end for a mid end price. Fractal Design Define R4's cost £100 for the same capabilities as the next competitor, £300
the processor (brain) is an i5 3550, which I'm finding... good enough for most things, though recording videos? I wish I had gone AMD now.
The motherboard is basic
The graphics card (that long bit in the middle) is high end, £230
The power is future-proofed in terms of upgrade path

So yeah, it's good, but I'm definitely going to be upgrading once some certain parts release.

I'm probably going to get into building computers eventually since building/designing stuff is my special talent.

I have an old EMachines computer that I plan on cannibalizing when I get the chance, the only bad thing on it is a $260 graphics card that, according to Best Buy, probably came faulty out of the factory (Let it be known that I do not trust those stooges). I have my fingers crossed that it's not shot after being stuck in my shed all of these years.
