I did some reading on Vlad the Impaler. His life reads like the most badass Soap Opera ever

When he was a little kid who'd up until that point only ever impaled small animals, his father, as a sign of supplication (read: prison-bitchdom) sold him and and younger brother, Radu, to the Ottomans. The Ottomans trained the shit out of both of them, but while Radu bent over and took his position as the Sultan's whore, Vlad cut that shit right out, teamed up with the guy that Merced his dad, and retook Walachia from the Ottomans after stone-cold killing the fucker that took his throne with his bare hands. Then, he looked at the shithole Walachia had become, and said "AW HELL NO" and started impaling all the criminals, lawbreakers, and tax attorneys he could find for hundreds of miles around. Right around the time Walachia had collectively gotten their shit together and resumed their business of impaling every single motherfucker who glanced at them wrong, the Pope said "Aight, y'all know those Ottoman fuckers? Crusade them Bitches" and gave a dude named Matthias Corvinus a shitton of money to go do so. Before Corvinus could so much as shit himself, Vlad stood up and said "I don't need none a yo goddamn money. I got this." And engaged in Guerrilla warfare at a time when everyone else thought that lining up dressed like peacocks was a smart or ingenuitive way to fight wars. After several years of thoroughly kicking a bunch of Ottoman ass, they got their shit together and sent a bunch of guys to ice him, led by his puss-ass little brother, Radu. Eventually, he managed to get out of the siege they put him in and finally had to go ask Matthias for some of that money. (mind you, having amassed a body count in the tens of thousands before he'd considered the thought) Matthias, naturally, looked like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar, seeing as he'd spent every fucking cent of those Fat Pope Stacks on liquor, crack, whores, and shit for his house. Naturally, Corvinus owned up, payed Vlad out-of-pocket and went on a Crusade of Penitence that lasted decades. Nah, I'm shitting you. He gave Vlad to the Turks and forged a letter from Vlad to the Pope saying that he surrendered. After enduring ten years of captivity at the hands of his undoubtedly smug bastard of a brother, his brother suddenly died at the age of 40. The exact circumstances surrounding his death are unknown, but "strangulation", "prison-shanking", and "impalement" probably shouldn't be ruled out. Regardless, Vlad took this opportunity to extend his middle finger to the Ottomans as he prepared to, once again, get Walachia's shit together. However, he was rather anticlimactically assassinated soon thereafter. Once again, the exact circumstances are unknown, but by process of elimination we can deduce it to be "snipers", despite the time period, as any other method would have involved getting within a hundred-yard-radius of the impalement-happy murderous vengeance machine known as Vlad Dracula, which, incidentally, means "Vladimir, Son of The Dragon"
