Clock is sitting in her room, reading the anatomy book that Robo had given her.

*walking through halls, eventually arrives at Clock's room and knocks lightly on door* Hey, Clock, you in there right now?

[Tytan]

Clock looks over at the door in mild surprise. She closed up the book and opened the door, "Oh, hey Robo. Didja need something?"

[RoboRed]

Uh, yeah. *clears throat* Is it alright if I come in?

[Tytan]

"Uh, sure," She gestures him in, "If this is a booty call, you should know my cycle ended a few days ago, I haven't really been in the mood."

[RoboRed]

*gets a little flustered as he walks in* Uhh, n-no, it's nothing like that. Actually, the higher-ups haven't been really liking me doing that. They don't want me "fraternizing with the mortals" or "playing Zeus". Sooo yeah...nothing like that. *closes door*

[Tytan]

"Sounds like they need to get laid," she says matter-of-factly, "So if not that, then what?"

*takes a deep breath* Well, if you recall a while back, when you talked with me about...Turn Key...and wanting to see what might have been...I managed to work something out and, well, I have something for you...

*pulls out a picture from from pocket and places it in Clock's hooves*:

Clock is dumbstruck. Her knees feel weak and shaky. She falls back on her haunches. All the while never taking her eyes off the picture, for fear of it disappearing. Tears well up in her eyes and her voice wavers, "Th-thank you Robo. She's beautiful."

[RoboRed]

*walks over and gently puts a hand on Clock's shoulder, looking at the picture* That picture was taken shortly after she got her cutie mark. Maybe up to a couple days later. Can't rightly remember what it was for, though.

[Tytan]

A few tears run down Clock's cheeks, "It's-It's a family tradition. We get our pictures taken when we get our cutie marks. My dad had one of me, and... and now I've got one of her."

[RoboRed]

*nods* That you do.

[Tytan]

Clock pulls Robo into a hug, "Thank you Robo, this means so much."

[RoboRed]

*returns hug* No problem, Clock. I'm happy I could help. *after a few seconds, breaks hug and looks at Clock in eyes* Now, I need to warn you as the Higher-ups told argued this point against me: Do not let yourself get lost in what might have been. It's very rare that gifts like this are allowed to happen. Knowledge of what may be and the such. Many have gone mad or lost themselves in grief because of it. Treasure this photograph of yourself and your daughter, but do not let it consume you. Okay?

[Tytan]

Clock looks at Robo with a wide eyed expression, "I... I'll try."

Clock looks at the picture again with teary eyes and hugs it to her chest.

[RoboRed]

*gives Clock a hug* Don't worry, I trust you with this. I wouldn't have tried to get it if I didn't.

[Tytan]

"Thank you," she says quietly.

((If I'm honest I kinda wish this had been revealed in the RP rather then here.

Something about her reminiscing how she imagined her foal running up to her excited when they had gotten their cutiemark, and how she'd be worried about where she'd find a working camera to commemorate the event back when she was pregnant.))

((I hadn't thought about that. The way it happened was pretty much the only scene I had thought up back when I first conceived the picture (back when we were still actually using this thread, hurrdurr). I really hadn't considered a use for it in the current RP.))

((I don't think this scene is bad by the way Robo. I just think it should have been done in a different order.

If it had been done the other way then I think it would have made it somewhat bittersweet, but as it stands now it's kind of a spoiler.))
