"Sure. It never hurts to know how to handle a firearm. We can start tomorrow if you'd like."

"That'd be great."

[XT Vengeance]

"So...uh, what now?" Charcoal asks, unsure what to say next.

[Tytan]

"I was thinking bed."

[XT Vengeance]

"Okay then. I guess I'll see you in the morning then," he says, smiling at the mare. "I'll be sure to save these noodles for you."

[Tytan]

"Thanks Char...", she kisses him.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes furiously, returning the kiss. After the kiss, Charcoal smiles at Clock. "Good night Clockwork," he says softly to her.

[Tytan]

Clock holds the kiss for a while. She parts from him, "You have one thing going for you... you're a very good kisser."

[Tytan]

((Finally home! My bones ache.))

[XT Vengeance]

"I am? You were pretty good yourself."

[Tytan]

"Thanks. Maybe we can practice that later too."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'd like that." Charcoal smiles. "I guess I will see you in the morning then?"

[Tytan]

"Mhm. Seeya." Clock leaves for her room.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal turns and cleans up the table, smiling to himself all the way. His work done, he curls up in a corner, drifting off to sleep.

[TS. Time is now: Mid-morning.]

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal is sitting outside in his usual spot, talking to Scorch while he sets up some targets.

[Tytan]

Clock comes outside. She's pulled her mane back into a ponytail and is wearing her doctors coat. She puts her doctor bag down next to Charcoal. "So, are you ready?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I was about to ask you the same thing," Charcoal says, turning to face her. "I've got the range already set up."

[Tytan]

"Great! Lemme just get this," Clock opens her bag and pulls out a chrome plated .44 magnum.

[XT Vengeance]

"Ah, a custom tooled magnum, eh? That shouldn't be too hard to master. This won't be much use at range, but it will more than do the job up close."

[Tytan]

"The only problem is that it kicks like an abusive father. Every time I try and use it my shots go wide. I usually end up using an old nine mil I picked up a while ago."

[Katarn]

((Bones ache...is that even possible? o_O))

[XT Vengeance]

"Hmm...you may just need more practice with it. Do you use it with your magic, or your mouth?"

[Tytan]

"I've tried both. There isn't much of a difference accuracy wise."

[XT Vengeance]

"I don't know if this will help, but it is worth a try. When I use my rifle, I can sort of predict the kick back. Having used this weapon so much has taught me everything about it, and that allows me to get back on target much faster than most ponies." Charcoal says, looking at the rifle leaned against the wall. "It may just be a matter of getting used to the recoil of the gun, in which case practice should help. Or you could start off using smaller caliber guns until you can handle them with ease, and try moving up when you are comfortable."

[Tytan]

((Sorry I was gone all afternoon. We had a visitor and I was pretty distracted.))

[Tytan]

"Well, I am bound and determined to get used to this gun. It's been in the family for generations. It belonged to my great great great great grandpa. He was a combat surgeon and this was his sidearm. He called it the 'Hypocritical Oath'."
