"That's a great name for it then," Charcoal says with a chuckle. "If you really want to get used to it, then it should just be a manner of practice. After a while, the gun will just feel like an extension of you. At that point it is just a matter of keeping yourself form getting out of practice."

[Tytan]

"I guess grandpa thought so too, look." Clock shows him the butt of the gun, The words 'DO NO HARM' are inscribed on the handle with the word 'NO' X'ed out.

"Well, what do you say we start?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Sounds good. As you can see, I set up three different targets, one each for close, medium, and long range. Lets start out with the close one. Just take your time between shots. There's no need to hurry now," Charcoal says, doing his best to instruct the mare.

[Tytan]

Clock loaded the gun and stood at the range. She takes a wide stance and holds the revolver in her magic. She aims carefully at target. She slowly squeezes the trigger. *BANG* The gun bucks hard, breaks out of her magic, and smacks her in the nose. "AHGH!"

[XT Vengeance]

"Are you alright?" Charcoal asks, knowing all to well how it felt to get hit in the face by a kicking gun. "Try holing the gun slightly off to the side. At least until you can handle the kick better."

[Tytan]

Clock holds her nose, a little blood drips from it. "I'm good... Ow. Maybe I can try it in my mouth instead."

[XT Vengeance]

"If you want, go right ahead. Either way should work, but it would be good to pick one and stick with it. Whichever is more comfortable."

[Tytan]

"I might as well try." Clock takes the gun in her mouth. She steps back to the range. She pulls the trigger with her tongue. *BANG* The gun bucks and her head snaps back. There's a hole in the very edge of the target. She takes the gun out of her mouth, "That's better-ish."

[XT Vengeance]

"Okay, so you felt how the gun kicked back against your head. I'd suggest bracing your muscles so as to counteract the force of the recoil."

[Tytan]

"Alright..." *BANG*. Bottom of the target.

[XT Vengeance]

"See? You are already getting better," Charcoal says encouragingly. "Just keep up the good work Ms. Clockwork."

[Tytan]

"Thanks Char, and it's just Clock. I don't think we need to be formal."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes slightly, thinking of their date the night before. "Right. Sorry about that Ms- er..Clock. Its a habit," he says lowering his head slightly.

"If you'd like, I can go get us some food. We may be out here for a while."

[Tytan]

"Would you? That'd be nice. I'll stay out here and keep practicing."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'll be right back," Charcoal says, walking back inside the building. He wanders into the kitchen, where he begins checking the cabinets for food. After about three minutes, he opens a cabinet to find a box of instant oatmeal.

"That'll work just fine," he says to himself. The grey cyber pony turns on the stove, and heats up a pot of water. As it begins to boil, he pulls it off of the stove, and mixes up the oatmeal in a pot. Reaching into his saddlebags, he finds his small box of dried herbs and spices, removing his prized bottle of cinnamon. He mixes a bit of the brown powder with some sugar, and mixes it into the oatmeal. He grabs two bowls and some spoons and places them in his bag. Turning off the stove, Charcoal grabs the pot of steaming oatmeal and carries it outside, setting it on the table along with the bowls and utensils.

"Here it is. I found some oatmeal in a cabinet. I must just be having a stroke of good luck this week," he says with a smile, looking at Clock.

[Tytan]

"Thanks Char, smells good. I'm glad you didn't pick anything crunchy, my teeth are starting to hurt."

[XT Vengeance]

"I figured you might say that," he says, grinning broadly at her. "Oh, and I added a little something into it as well from my spice box. Hopefully you'll like it. I don't really get the chance to restock all that often."

[Tytan]

"I don't know how earth ponies and pegasi manage, my jaw is killing me." Clock takes the bowl offered to her. She takes a spoonful and tastes it, "Oooh, this is nice, what'd you add?"

[XT Vengeance]

"Just some ground up cinnamon and sugar. You wouldn't believe how rare spices like that are anymore. Pre-war ponies don't know how good they had it."

[Tytan]

"Well... yeah... but we have personal freedoms the likes of which they couldn't have dreamed of."

[XT Vengeance]

"True. Though most of them didn't have to worry about gettin' shot on a daily basis."

[Tytan]

"Yeah, that's a kinda big tic mark in the 'cons' column."

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah. But then again, it isn't all bad. I mean, it makes us appreciate the small stuff more. Like...getting to spend time with a pretty mare," Charcoal says, blushing slightly in embarrassment that he had just said that.

[Tytan]

"And having a handsome stallion bring you oatmeal and teach you to shoot."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes even more, not at all used to being complimented. "I...uh...it was nothing really, and thank you. Most ponies just stare at me or call me names," he says softly.

[Tytan]

"Call you names? Why'd they do that?"
