Tears are growing at the corners of her eyes, and her voice wavers, "Don't do that. Don't start pitying me. I don't want this to affect... us. What happened is awful and-and... I don't think I'll ever get over it. But what I need right now is a stable relationship. Something that lasts longer than a bloatflies lifespan. I need... an anchor. Something to keep me grounded. And... I'd like it to be you."

"Really? I...I'd like that too," Charcoal says. He get up and moves closer to clock, wrapping his hooves around her, doing his best to comfort the sad mare.

[Tytan]

"Th-thank you." Clock returns the hug.

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal just holds the mare in his arms, doing his best to comfort her, not knowing what to say.

[Tytan]

Clock half laughs half sobs, "I think I've ruined my own appetite."

[XT Vengeance]

"Its alright. I can just bowl whats left of it up and we can eat it tomorrow," he says with a chuckle.

[Tytan]

"That's good. I really do like it."

[XT Vengeance]

"Thank you Clock. For giving me a chance," he says softly to her.

[Tytan]

"Thank you for letting me."

[Tytan]

Clock wipes her eyes and chuckles. "I'm sorry. I'm a terrible date."

[XT Vengeance]

"Its okay. I liked spending time with you, regardless," Charcoal says to her, smiling softly. " Not that I would even know what a bad date is like," he says with a chuckle.

[Tytan]

"Heh, me neither. By I don't think good dates include sharing life altering personal traumas."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well yeah, but I meant more that I hadn't been on a date before."

[Tytan]

"To be fair, my idea of a date usually involves a lot more alcohol, a cheap motel, and promises to myself that I'll never drink that much again."

[XT Vengeance]

"Oh. Well...this was all the alcohol I had...I found it when I was out last, sorry," he says, kicking himself internally.

[Tytan]

"Hon, I don't want more alcohol. I used to get drunk and sleep around. I don't anymore."

[XT Vengeance]

"I didn't mean...what I meant...I'm no good at this, am I?" he asks, lowering his head.

[Tytan]

"Yer not doin' half bad for your first time... Your small talk could use some work."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal rubs the back of his head with a hoof. "Tell me about it. I'm twenty-six and this is the only date I've been on. I uh...don't really get to spend that much time around ponies. But I want to get better," he says with sincerity.
((Hey Tytan, you gonna be up for some WoT later?))

[Tytan]

"Well, the best way to do that is practice."

((Sure. But I'm at work and I won't be home till late.))

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah." The ashen grey colt thinks silently for a moment.

"So...what kind of weapons do you prefer?" he asks, trying his best to sound casual.

((No problem. I don't have anything else to do tonight, and I don't work tomorrow by some sort of miracle.))

[Tytan]

Clock sits back in her chair, "I don't have a whole lot of experience with them to be honest. I guess I like pistols, and I'm pretty handy with a ripper."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm not really any good at close combat. I can hit almost any target with a rifle though." Charcoal starts to get a little less tense now.

[Tytan]

"I've never been in a big fight before. I've usually got someone with me who can fight."

"I can try to teach you a few things, if you'd like," Charcoal says, wanting to spend more time with the pretty mare.
