"Well, you look good. And I can't say I have had it before.

"It's nothing special..." he says, rubbing the back of his head with his mechanical hoof. He leads her to her spot, then sits down across the table. "Oh! I almost forgot," he says, retrieving a bottle of red wine from his bags that were sitting in the corner of the room. "I found this when I was out with Shadow and the others, would you like some?"

"I wouldn't mind a glass."

[XT Vengeance]

The ashen grey colt grabs two glasses he had cleaned out earlier, and sets them on the table. Opening up the bottle, he lets the sweet red wine flow into the glasses, the ruby red liquid sparkling softly in the candlelight. He hands one to Clock, then sets the bottle on the table next to the pot.

"So you have never had any pasta before? It isn't really something that's common anymore, but I've found a few boxes in my travels. Nowhere near as good as the hoof-made stuff though."

"Growing up my dad had a cook that traveled with the caravan. Let's just say Fry Pan wasn't a fancy cook. The two staples of our dinners were stew and cram n' beans.

The fanciest thing I ever ate was when I spent a night in Tenpony. It was more expensive than I thought food could be, and I'm pretty sure it was cram and beans."

"Well, I made what I could with the herbs I had gathered. I found some powdered cheese sauce packets too. I'm pretty sure this is called fettuccine alfredo, or something like that." he opens up the pot, revealing the hot noodles inside, covered in a white alfredo sauce. Holding a spoon in his hoof, he places some of it on both of the plates, the sets the spoon aside and covers the pot.

"I hope you like it."

Cherry peaks at the two through a crack in the door."Aww, ain't they cute."

"Blossom, just leave'em be."

"But, what if they need help."

"Love, they ain't gonna need help. Just leave'em alone."He starts reading.

"But-"

"No, buts*A tendril pulls her away from the door.*Just relax, love. Ah'm sure we'll here 'bout it soon enough."

Hmph"Fine, but we are gonna ask."She snuggles close

Shadow rolls his eyes"Whatever ya say love."

[Tytan]

Clock slowly inhales the smell of the pasta. Using her magic she spears one of the noodles with her fork and winds it round and round. She brings it to her lips. Slowly she chews the noodle and savors the flavor. She swallows it and follows it with a sip of wine. She speaks softly her words almost half a gasp, "...Delicious."

[XT Vengeance]

Swallowing his first bite, Charcoal smiles. "I'm glad you like it." He follows this up with a sip of the wine, his face showing that he isn't all that impressed with the alcohol though.

[Tytan]

"I think this might be the greatest thing I've ever eaten."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes at her comment. "Really? I...I'm not really that good of a cook..."

[Tytan]

Clock swallowed another mouthful of noodle, "Don't sell yourself short. You're much better than you think."

[XT Vengeance]

"Thanks. That means a lot." Charcoal smiles at clock awkwardly, still not believing his luck. "I have to be honest...I didn't think you would want to have dinner with me..."

[Tytan]

Clock swallows a sip of the pleasantly sweet wine, "Why's that?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm not exactly impressive or anything. I'm pretty ordinary for a cyber pony," he says after another bite. "I mean, look at you, you have beauty and brains. I've never met another pony that thinks quite like you." he says.

[Tytan]

Clock blushes hotly, "That's very kind of you to say... but beauty and brains don't count for a lot these days. You're strong. Of body and character. I'm not sure I know anyone who could've gone through your ordeal and come out of it whole. I very nearly didn't."

[XT Vengeance]

"I barely did. If it wasn't for Scorch, I would have died shortly after being put back together. We've been best friends ever since."

Charcoal looks into clocks eyes. "I know you don't want to talk about whatever happened...but I want you to know that I'll help any way I can."

[Tytan]

Clock is silent for a long moment, "...They died. Frying Pan... Flak Jacket... Spent Brass... They were employees, but they were the closest thing to family I had left. I knew them my entire life. They helped raise me.

Pan tried to teach me to cook. Flak taught me to shoot a gun. Brass talked to me about love...

I watched them die. In seconds... they were gone."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'm sorry Clock. I know what its like to lose you family like that. It still hurts, and I think it always will to some extent. But I want you to know that you aren't alone." he says to her. "And if you want me to...I will be there."

[Tytan]

"That's... not all."

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I don't want to pressure you," Charcoal says to her reassuringly.

[Tytan]

"You need to know. Especially if we're going somewhere with this."

Clock collects herself, "I... had a daughter."

[XT Vengeance]

"Clock...I...I'm sorry. I can't say that I know what that is like. You don't have to tell me anymore if you don't want to, but...I still want to be here for you."

[Tytan]

"I-I can't... Not again, not so soon... thank you for understanding."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I understand Clock. Its okay. I'm willing to take things at whatever pace you are. But if...if you just want to be friends...I can do that if it will help make you happy."
