It sounds a mite echo-y, but I like your rendition. For my part, I always sort of imagined P-21's voice with more quiet and a slight raspiness, rather than slightly nasal, but it's well done IMO nonetheless. Besides, my headcanon for voices has historically been way, way off the mark. =P

I suppose this thread's close to an amalgam of forums thread and chatbox - the topics tend to come and go quickly, and it's very active. The PH Discussion Thread's slower, but generally holds to a topic over a longer period of time (and said topic is Fallout Equestria related, invariably).

Fallout 1, I liked Master and Lieutenant.

I though the enclave, and their president, were pretty entertaining in 2, as were the crime families of New Reno. Aliens, mutants, centaurs... all very weird and interesting in their design.

What sense of generic are we speaking about, here?

I liked that you could convince President Richardson that the mainland humans weren't inferior to the Enclave humans... and he would decide to wipe them out anyway, since an equal or superior subspecies of humanity would be too big a threat/obstacle if faced head on. And in the same base, of course, there's the scientist who, upon being convinced that Wastelanders are human, will take the opposite route and wipe out the Enclave civilians. And then there's the vice president, who... yeah. All sorts of people in the Enclave. I'm hoping that future Fallout games will explore them more (and that I'll be able to run future Fallout games...).

Riot shield and pepper spray are your best bet.
Remember your dealing with large crows of unruly people eager to save an extra 10%. So they may be willing to throw things thus the Riot shield. As well pushing someone with a riot shield is far easier than with your bare hands as clothing can snag or be slippery. Further it's harder for a swift knee to the dangly bits if your pushing them with the shield rather than your hands where they can of course be at most arms length away.

The bottom of most riot shields are reinforced so you can do the push and flick where you push them away then tilt the riot shield at about a 40 degree angle to hit them the bottom edge for good measure.

Also you want a pepper spray over electricity(taser) or fire(flamethrower) because the taser is for single use not mass groups... and because flamethrowers tend to cause burning patrons to run around discomforting the normal law abiding shoppers and risks setting your store on fire.

Don't forget your helmet and try to get a military dispenser of pepper spray. You might want to add a beanbag shotgun if you expect very high levels of disruption.

It's sort of like when you're a little hoarse and oh wow I did not realize that was gonna be an awful pun. Basically, if P-21 was a little horse who was a little hoarse. Ouch. Part of my brain is like "Yay! Puns!" and the other parts are like "what is even wrong with you." Anyway. Occasionally raspy! Old Clint Eastwood and Badass Cowboy Clint Eastwood both tend towards raspiness. I don't imagine P-21's being as intense as old Clint, mind you. But yeah, "Dying ain't much of a living." Less stoic than Eastwood in this scene, of course - you've got that down already IMO. As said, this is quite possibly just my headcanon.

In unrelated news, I hate self-portraits. Got too much hair and glasses, which makes it hard, and to top it off I don't know how to draw faces. Combine that with the fact that staring at my own face for this long as gotta be a record (and not an enjoyable one) and this adds up to one art project that I'm not a fan of. On the bright side, the music for class today was Gustav Holst. Hell yeah.

Aye, this is pretty darn close to my headcanon. Can't speak for other folks, but I like it pretty well. And thanks, Swicked, for explaining things better, and for providing a good reason for why P-21 would sound like that in the first place - either forgot or never even thought about that, personally. =P (Also, nice - bad jokes and the tolerance thereof are an important part of any relationship! Or, well, pretty much all the ones I've seen; I know my dad's got his fair share)

I always imagined P-21's voice to be a little on the femme side, actually. I don't know why. Something about a stoic bomb-throwing badass with a cute squeaky voice just cracks me up.

And thanks for all the Black Friday tips. I found a bulk order discount on flashbangs and tear gas, so that should help a little. I think the suggestions about the flamethrower were right, though. What's worse than a horde of shambling undead shoppers? A horde of shambling undead shoppers on fire.
