The Astartes are a very strange case even in Sci-fi. If I tried to go into detail I'd likely mess it up considering my mental flaws.

They call them "Psykers", which are basically really weird wizards. The Emperor is the most powerful Psyker.

Nope I just refuse them, i refute their plausibility, heads attached to a mechanical body I will accept, biological mutagenic and scientific rejects in a hardened metal alloy shell, nope not gonna fly, tleast in starcraft you see how their armor sits on a body

It's unknown and unclear whether the Emperor is a hyperpowerful psycher or an outright Physical God (which the Imperium insists he is)

Also, Astartes bodies fit their armor perfectly. If you're thinking "But then they'd have to be really deformed!", well, then, A.) that's heresy, and B.) they're best described as "Posthuman" or "Transhuman" as their extensive mental recalibration, cybernetic implants and myriad biological improvements pretty much mean they're not human anymore. They're tolerated by the Inquisition because A.) they were designed by the Emperor and are thus Divine creations, and B.) just try and fucking stop them, Inquisitor.

Frost and I tossed around the Terran Marine armor. The way it's put on would transfer all force directly to the bones upon ballistic impact.

Astarte armor they don't go very deep into detail, the only thing that I personally know of that they go into as far as protection goes is some psyker powers and their own mutations.

They also explode to prevent the wearers from being wounded and slowing other marines down, making them basically exoskeletons for extra strength and a bomb strapped to your body.

this is the kind of logic i have to counter when arguing with my girlfriend, in order to properly develop a counter strategy, i must employ the enemy strategy to explore weaknesses.

that overlay is wrong, the armpit sits level with the head

otherwise the armor is not as thick as it is generated

That's only with the huge-ass Terminator (Tactical Dreadnought, if you want to get technical) Armor, which has huge arms and the Marine's arms barely stick into it, so there's still not a problem.

how do the arms lay at rest on the sides if the arpit is met about halfway across the upper arm bone?

also the image does not account for the thicknessof the armor

The arms don't lay at rest in Terminator armor

Astartes standard armor is thin under the arms, hence the huge-ass pauldrons so enemies can't take advantage of that

Which game? Dawn of War was a bit shitty at any rate, and Space Marine had to alter proportions a tad to avoid outrageous amounts of clipping.

Boreale and Thule are Dawn of War. It was Space Marine (Captain Titus being the main character) that avoids clipping, mostly

Oh, of Space Marine, yeah. I thought the Dawn of War series was good, except Soulstorm, which wasn't nearly as fun as II or Dark Crusade, I'd say. Retribution was fun for what it was, I find.

I play IG and Tyranids in tabletop, (and, when possible, in the video games) but haven't played much recently, and none of 6ed.

I really, really enjoyed Space Marine. I'm hoping for a sequel wherein Titus is part of a Deathwatch team. And you drive around (with recklessness rivaling Commander Shepard) in a Land Speeder with your other team members (A drunken Space Wolf, a gangsta Salamander, a posh Blood Angel and a perpetually pissed-off Black Templar).

Money's a bit tight right now to get into the tabletop, but I plan to play either Black Templars or World Eaters once I get some working capital

But... would Titus be eligible for Deathwatch, considering the suspicions surrounding him? Ah, whatevs, that'd be so freakin' awesome!

Speaking of which, did you see Ultramarines, the movie? I liked it for the Warhammery awesomeness of it, but it lacked... substance.
...We need an Ultramarines TV show.

Careful with buying codices for BT, their rules are long due for an update. CSM, go to town. Meanwhile, my flashlights will blot out the sun.

Thrax didn't really seem to believe that Titus was guilty of Corruption, and it's more likely that Titus is simply a low-level Blank or Untouchable. But the man slaughtered thousands of Orks, including a warboss, along with hundreds of Chaos Marines and Traitors, including a partially-ascended Daemon Prince with only the occasional help of two others. Thrax would have to be out his dayummm mind not to draft him into Deathwatch

I thought it was really fluid, switching between the melee and ranged combat, along with the combos and variety of weapons. It would be interesting if the sequel had you facing (or playing) Eldar or Necrons

thats okay daemon princes have nothing on dragonborn, or was that daedra? hmmm... welll, doesn't matter, if you're a price, because you have no kingdon, can't be a prince without a kingdom and even that would make you a king not a prince... honestly why wold one settle for prince?

Princess Celstia would just drop a sun on them and be done with it, speaking of sons, its funny how you have startrek ship with an FTl that moves sooo slow, and yet their shields are capable of withstanding the corona of a sun for 8 plus hours, then you have star wars where their FTL can traverse the span of the galaxy in a month or so and still have to weave navigate in order to keep from running into gravity wells, but their shields suck so much they can't even get within a certain distance from a star, then you have stargate ships, traveling between galaxies like a bawws and using ship shields to stop solar discharges...
