As others have said, it most likely went under the radar because his palette is typical nightguard - but the fact that it is the same colors as Glory is a very interesting aspect.

The reason there isn't more is likely a combination of various factors, such as the length of PH, the nature of the setting, artists who don't draw 34, and things like that.
Would I ever do a rule 34 piece?... I won't say flat-out "no", but it would probably require very specific, indeterminate conditions for me to even consider it.

Given the popularity of PH I'm surprised there isn't more rule 34 floating around. I would assume this is because it would be difficult to due justice to the source material. Somber has an engaging writing style where the audience rides shot gun to all of Blackjack's emotions. Combine that with well thought out and deep characters, well, throwing sex into the mix would be a difficult balance.

Well, and she's open enough about it that there's not much point. PH already passes through the penumbra of R34 every so often, so it's not really calling out for a chapter 20.5 or what have you.

@Derp: (Semi-rambling) Dude, it's me, what do you expect? xD I read waaay into everything haha. But yes, I know that was her main objective to avoid, but she still went on about as if she enjoyed it. And there was a timeskip, but she stated she only "actually managed" to come once. As for him joking, yes, he might have been, in which I again question how thick(?) he actually is. Seeing how he was overly forward about it, and again, it doesn't excuse how selfishly he performed it. As said, I can totally both understand and see it, but it definitely rules out any "chivalrous" points on his side. I know she wasn't in it for the pleasure, but it was how she painted the whole scene that kerfaffled me. It just seemed self contradictory at some parts. Whilst males don't have any of this, meaning that in theory, there's nothing bar from possible expected empathy to stop someone from enjoying a male crying... just another of my completely freaking random unrelated trailing off's.

I'm still sticking with that currently, he was inconsiderate. Even if she haden't planned on it feeling good for her was little reason for him to partially ignore it as well. (again, keep in mind I'm probably using to "big" words.)

As for the second part, just look at it from a reversed perspective. But point being, while I hate to be sexist and say I can imagine about any male being glad to "help" her with "just getting through" it, only having to worry about not going "to rough", but otherwise not have to care if she gets off or even has a good time. This... makes a disturbing amount of sense. Especially considering BJ's train of thought near the end of the last chapter. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think if it's handled well it could be interesting, but I really, really don't want Project Horizons to turn into 'Days of Our Lives: Hoofington Edition'.

Like many things, Days of Our Lives could be vastly improved by a serial killer best friend, a psychopathic army in pursuit of the protagonist, layers upon layers of ancient political intrigue, and Sekashi. Probably with a running gag where you never see the bottom part of her face.

The highlands are one area of the story I'd be interested in hearing more of. The combination of unique social behavior, toxic environment and tough as nails biology perks my interest. Taurus and Bluebelle provided glimpses into a culture we know very little about. Combine that with a lack of understanding from the citizens of the Hoof and it makes for one giant mystery to be uncovered. On a personal level Highlanders seem to value family, fidelity and loyalty which are virtues I hold in high esteem. Bluebelle's responded to being punched in the face with "Let's wrassle!" That joyful and semi-playful take on violence makes me want to see the culture that played into her upbringing.

That's the thing: he is, possibly very so (the exact degree would depend on things about batpony culture that we don't know at the moment). I see him as relying on her to tell him if he was doing something wrong or suboptimal, and she didn't.

There could be a story of a romance between a pair of sentient clouds and with the right conditions I wold still enjoy it. Engaging narrative, three dimensional characters, proper pacing, and excellent use of tension are all tools that help me enjoy a story of any variety. If I ever met a species of sentient cloud we would likely get along famously if we spoke a common language and at least one of their species understood calculus.

None of the sex in PH has come off as exploitative or superficial. That means that any perspective author who would expound upon established scenes of intimacy or derived new ones would have a tough bill to fill. The principle emotions are deep, evocative and rooted in the participant characters. As social animals, relationships are seen as one of the most critical elements that define us human beings. One of PH's greatest accomplishments is that has never been squeamish about exploring relationships in pull no punches honesty. I cannot overstate the amount of value I have gained from PH's willingness to use the framework of ponies to explore human nature at its most noble highs points and most horrific lows.

Sexuality in literature often holds to the mantra "Less is more." I agree that for many works of art and tomes of the the written that leaving sexuality at an implication can allow an audience to engage their imagination in a method that best appeals to their personal tastes. However, because of the excellent caliber of narrative there lies a possibility to explore ideas that would otherwise fall flat. Hope has been the overarching theme of the Fallout series and PH is no exception. Each characters is severely damaged beyond hope of repair to most modern psychology. Despite that they find a way to move forward and build upon the relationships that make life worth living. I see a potential to tell a story that would find value with a certain audience. One that could do a world of good by portraying the tenacious characters we have come to adore and show their struggle in a conflict that is very intimate and personal.

Well, it's what happens when you have no say in what's playing on TV and growing up we'd always have the news on during lunch, which would end and jump straight to a soap. I'm really exagurating about being forced to watch them but it really doesn't take long to pick apart the tends and story lines.
