Speech will take you over. That's not a bad thing. Muscling your way through a couple of challenges is empowering at first, but by the end the impact of such rash decisions becomes more apparent.

2) Holy shit, I went over to Know Your Meme to find a preexisting pony-form "x all the y" image to post here, and I found THIS:

Is it wrong to say that for most of the Fallout games the best ending goes to those with high INT, Speech, and Science?

No, that's probably the most accurate way to describing "winning" any Fallout game. It's just nowhere near as much as going in guns blazing and usually has a lot less explosions.

Well it just seems like the only way to get the best ending is with those requirements. Of course that's only one of the stats and two of the skills. I guess the third one could be guns, or explosives, or energy weapons.

Or barter/ repair.

I have always wanted to make an all speech/barter character. I think it was possible back in Fallout 1, but it would be incredibly difficult if not impossible in Fallout 3.

I'm not just talking maxing speech/barter first and then going energy weapons or something. I mean a pacifist run. I want a Fallout 4 where that is a viable option, instead of skirting around enemies with sneak on all the time.

Of course, when dealing with raiders who are always chaotic evil, it may be impossible to avoid conflict. A pacifier type gun would be handy, since you aren't killing them. Just knocking them out and stealing their stuff!

High int, high luck, speech, and sneak imo.(luck because luck is awesome)

repair, lock picking, science as secondary concern and then any combat related choices as final(do not doubt the power of unarmed).
barter is next to useless imo because its not hard to get caps and a good portion of medical supplies/food will come from scavenging so purchasing stuff just gets knocked down to ammo. with the sneak as a primary focus you will generally stay out of combat so even then medical supplies arent that big of a concern and in a lot of cases(depending on the weapon) combat only takes up as much ammunition as there are enemies so even then ammo isnt that big either.

but yes, speech and int are the probably the most important stats to choose.

and thus the Mesmotron became your favorite device(if only it's ammo was more common).

The usual approach in Nethack is hiring/obtaining a non-pacifist sidekick to defend you.

In Fallout:NV you can replace Barter with speech for all plot-related purposes and with Luck for financial purposes - by the time all the casinos have you banned, you're RICH.

Also, Caravan with a deck of 6's, 10's, Kings and a few Jacks for good measure will win pretty much against everyone. Yesterday finished a round by adding a king to opponent's caravan to make it "sold", because I had two "sold" at 26 already and the third one was nowhere near finishing on my side...

@Ketchup: Still love the previous mentioned list of Mr Welch xP

On a previous mentioned side note: I can say the "female DJ taking a leak" event lead to a ~15 minute long, constructive discussion about how it was done, how those pants worked and things like that. Once I'd explained the basic, I had everyone convinced at the end haha. Since even if it'd been easier to just show, even I actually have some class. Believe it or not xD

Anyhow, on the current topic: I haven't played Fo3 nor NV actually.

Sudoku, or seppuku? The former is a number's puzzle, the latter is ritual suicide. Spike

The + and - buttons only appear after you have ten posts.

If there was no way to get control of the SPP and no Littlepip to find the bearers to activate the Gardens of Equestria, how would one go about saving the wasteland?

Redeye decided to get as much power for himself as possible through any means available to him. He did do 'good' things that helped, (or might have eventually helped,) other Ponies, but it was all a means to an end: All Ponies bent the will of one. Doesn't that sound familiar?

Well, it's impossible for a pacifist run in 3 because you have to kill that radroach when you're a kid. But after that you can, in theory and if you let companions and friendly NPCs do the dirty work, get through the game without killing anybody else. I'm talking main story line here.

NV is better at giving you a chance to not kill anything since none of the main missions require a kill made by you, but once again it's best if you have companions with you at all time to do the dirty work when need be.

At least that's when I hear. I haven't attempted it because I got my fill of going for a no kill run in MGS4. Didn't help I was also going for a no alerts, no healing items, and under 5 hours run at the same time. But even if I wasn't I always ended up killing one or two because shooting them with tranquilizer darts and having them fall to their death counts against you.
Besides, I like crit hit snipes too much to not kill.

Without Littlepip, you're looking for some other way to galvanize all the good hearts left in the wasteland. Gawd had a good idea that didn't even require Gardens to fire first, but she needed a push out of her "corrupted loyalty" ways to start building the alliance it would require.

Given a generation or so, Steelhooves might have finally stepped up to lead the Steel Rangers, if Red Eye or the Goddess didn't find the Black Book in the meantime. The threat of breeding alicorns might be the jolt he needed to forge the Steel Rangers into a force for good, and the necessity of a common enemy would help form alliances that would survive after the war. And a new Steel Rangers dedicated to protection instead of stockpiling technology might even draw Spike out into the world. It might take centuries, but he and Steelhooves have time.

The Enclave was running on limited resources, so they would eventually have to break the cloud cover and rejoin the rest of the world. Not soon, and not kindly -- it would take a new hero to stand up against them from within.

If Gardens didn't exist at all, it's hard to say that Unity isn't tempting. It's sort of the 'transhumanist' approach, and there's a lot wrong with it, but... the main problem is Trixie. If she weren't in charge, they could ditch the stupid ideas about superiority and irradiating the whole planet and maybe start doing some good for everyone, not just the joiners.

Concerning pacifist runs in games. Ok, someone was bound to bring up Deus Ex at some point, so I'm bringing up Deus Ex now.
...
I've only played DE:HR as of now (intending to man up and play the old ones at some point) two times, and this one was... kinda... sorta... a semi-pacifist run. I mean, there's a couple of places where you'll WANT to draw a lethal gun and shoot people (Belltower murdering everyone in Alice Garden Pods, and then Belltower trying to kill Malik). And there's the bosses, which are like this because DE:HR was rushed into release (...yeah. Is any game NOT rushed these days?) and Eidos ran out of time to make creative ways of dealing with them; same reason as for Rifleman Station being DLC.
Oh, and the intro. Not augmented yet, no stun guns - have to shoot people with the rifle.

...

Oh, and I would... really... really... like to see an art of Blackjack with her augmentations drawn in DE:HR style.
