Now taking a step away from Cerberus being an Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist for a moment (not that I'm done with that by any means), there could be a loophole in his combat inhibitor that puts Xanthe in some real danger. Remember the soul jar room? Cerberus was the first to fire, so these jars are clearly permissible targets to him. Now his inhibitor may be complex enough to modify who is friend or foe on the fly, but if it isn't then the stealth suit is still an acceptable target. As much as I'd love for him to get jealous of the Stealth Suit, he's also got plenty of canon reason to hate it. He's got all that pre-war prejudice, right? If the Suit gets too much of Cerberus' attention and it turns out to still be on his list of potential targets, then what happens if he decides it's only a matter of time before the suit goes hostile and he attacks it? Say... with a flamer? We've already seen the evidence: jarred armor can't protect against everything. Xanthe may survive, but the last thing anyone needs right now is a horribly burned zebra.

I had intended to make a very serious thing about distanced relatives falling into a bad element and becoming a potentially dangerous influence on their children.

Now the only thing I can write is Cerberus and Carrion solving crimes or getting rejected by the stealth suit.

Calling Cerberus for Dan Stark and Carrion for Jack Bailey.

That's actually a really good point about Cerberus potentially trying to attack Xanthe now because of the Stealth Suit. We know hostility doesn't affect his targeting parameters, since he continued attacking the ferals in the sewer even after Silver Spoon made them stop, so it could be a definite problem if he realizes it.
However, Cerberus and Carrion as the Good Guys is awesome, and I support that completely. And I'm glad you liked the picture heh.

(Suit) - Heh, well I can see how it would be unexpected, since I do usually draw such cute things all the time. As I've said before, I don't have a proble at all with NSFW, but I didn't want to draw any myself without a good reason, and I just happen to be very fond of "living clothing".
But I'm glad you like it, and I do wish you the best of luck with your fic.

I only mentioned it because it was asked of me, although I have to say never complain about the length of Somber's chapters, that man is worse... so much worse. I hope I never have to read a 125k chapter again in my life, but knowing Ri2 the next one is gonna be even longer.

Honestly, give Somber 3 or 4 years, Somber's chapters will trump even that by then giving the trend with this story right now, assuming Somber writes a story after this one, which I really hope does happen.

Ah okay, thank you for clarifying, I'm aware of that type of problem but didn't understand the terminology. I was quite worried about positioning, and I'm sure how it ended up isn't perfect, but I did try my best.

(Suit) - Heh, ah the way people react to finding out things is usually pretty good for a laugh or two. And of course I would wish you luck with your fic - even if it's horribly depraved, if you're having fun writing it then it's worth wishing you well at.
(Spoiler) - Well art can be difficult, but I agree there's definitely a difference between "style" and just not doing a good job.
(Alc) - Okay yeah, 3rd edition they did just hit one target. But what you 'can' do is strap a bunch to belt and then throw the belt at an enemy, so they all go off at once.
(Fetish) - Hey, seems like good choices, all I did was dump points into my drawing skill, heh.
