The forum owner came back and changed the style to evil teal. Don't ask but that is the name of the background color the forums are set to. There is a global thread posted.O. Hinds wrote:...Um.... What happened to the forum?

I also don't think Somber has any plans for going to Canterlot. That's FoE territory and Tenpenny is, I think, the only instance she planed to have Blackjack outside the Hoofington area, which itself happened as part of her decision to have Blackjack meet Littlepip the one time she conceivably could without breaking canon.
Yes, the missing days and let me tell you those two chapters were not some, but the favorite chapters of PH mostly because we got context on exactly how insane Blackjack is when put in the comparatively sane environment of the main Equestrian wasteland. Never mind Fore-Trekker great fanart which I post whenever given an excuse to.

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
I don't recall his execution ever actually being scheduled. He was imprisoned in Canterlot, had his Projects frozen, and was sentenced to die eventually, but there was plenty of room for her to calm down or change her mind and release him or diminish his sentence. But then Canterlot died.swicked wrote:I still think Luna would have done something to try and save Goldenblood from death no matter his betrayal
Hee. Though I think that scenario is highly unlikely now; given everypony's response to Blackjack and Stygius, it seems improbable that Glory would have been sleeping with two other mares a week ago.Cptadder wrote:[orb #8 fanart]

Alright, it is finally done. SSXanthe is a great ship.

@Meleagridis (Do Awkward Pick-Up Line Cerberus instead.)
I won't say those weren't funny, because they were, but stay away from my ship you fiend!
@Kattlarv (alchemist fire)
Oh, I mean it is centered on one square and hits all squares adjacent to that center square. The reason it hits an area is to balance the low damage compared to alchemist acid.
Well there's nothing wrong with being the first to think of something, just means you get credit for when everyone wonders just what went wrong, heh.
@Overlong Analysis Cobalt (SSXanthe)
Heh, well there's nothing wrong with thinking things, if our brains didn't go to weird places then life would be much less interesting.
@Quotidian (also SSXanthe)
All the shipping! That would be oddly hilarious if SSXanthe ship suddenly became the most side-story spawning event of PH heh. Also, this gutter is going to become quite crowded soon... we should upgrade.
@(Skyrim)
Hah... some days I actually wish I could afford it... I have to just stick with Fallout 3 for now though. And drawing.
@Wigglejigglesquiggle (Warmth)
Welcome, sir. I'll be sure to give it a read later, sounds nice.
@(Killing Joke and ghouls)
Well I know Snips basically goes against it, but maybe ghouls haven't exactly lost their soul in the sense of it moving on, but rather that it's simply become disconnected from them? If it were something like that, then killing joke could possibly re-attach the soul rather than "bringing it back to stuff into its old body".
That's just one way I might consider it anyways. Tag this section with "Ryx making things up".
@RandomBlank (eat any raw ingredient in Morrowind)
And then you can pretend you're Blackjack!
Also, I hope you can find some people willing to help you preread. Best of luck for your story, sir.
@Kippershy (what will happen if we X all the Y)
Then you end up with a lot of girls.
(SCIENCE HUMOR! hah... I'm so not funny...)
@OneMoreDaySK
Yes, Lacunae loves daffodil sandviches.
@Kattlarv (erotic asphyxiation fetish)
Oh Goddesses, combine it with a fetish for wanting to be saved by her love and I can see that totally happening to Psychoshy...
@Sindri
Thank you sir, for saying the kind of thing I feel but can't properly put words to myself.
@RandomBlank (Rampage doesn't exist - Boo soul)
- I'm not so sure about that. I can't find it now, but someone made a comment about Rampage saying she felt like a teacher trying to keep order in a rowdy classroom. Who would the teacher be then, if the souls were all the students? Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I'd like to believe there is an actual "Rampage" that exists.
- As always, if you're bored enough you feel like making it into a flash, feel free heh.
I'll probably make an actual new picture of it some time, when I'm not busy. Soul Calibur is fun, even if I suck at fighting games.

This sounds like a pretty reasonable assessment of what would happen (though I think Silent's cake-Boo is still a cuter idea heh). So yes, let's definitely keep her away from any killing joke.O. Hinds wrote:She becomes so intelligent and arrogant that she gets disgusted with Blackjack's stupidity and leaves, and then she gets killed because she didn't have Blackjack's protection.Meleagridis wrote:Is it possible to be so smart that it kills you? Mostly because the double nature of Blackjack's crudeness mixed with Homages sultriness against Littlepips eternal shame and Glory's adorkableness.
Not to mention the simple idea of Littlepip of almost a month later finding out from the Orb with Celestia watching on that the memory was a four way. Even if it was not I can totally picture Homage knowing ahead of time she's going to be removing the memory so staging it so Littlepip thinks it was a four way.

Out of the Cloud AND the shield which means it has to be a teleporter or a flier. And have the authority to get him away. Which means Twilight or Luna and given Luna order him executed it's pretty much only Luna who could get him away. And we know how Luna died, Celestia is about the only Goddess who I take on their direct word that a thing is so.Sindri wrote:Hrm... no, I think you might be right about that. @forum change information:
Ah, thanks; I'll head over there.
@SSXanthe:
...I think that I now ship this. Let's see... so now I've got Gloryjack, which turned out to be canon, Pstygius-21, which is almost certainly an insane crack but doesn't want to get out of my head, and SSXanthe... which might actually be more plausible than Gloryjack was when I started supporting it.

The shield only went up when the missiles were about to hit; he could have been smuggled out that morning. And while it could have been somebody with the authority to remove him legally, I think it's more likely to have been a good old fashioned jailbreak. How many spec ops personnel did he still have loyal to him at that point?Cptadder wrote:Out of the Cloud AND the shield which means it has to be a teleporter or a flier. It seems like it would be more of an instance of rising to the occasion than anything else. I could see her giving it a shot, but I don't think she's anywhere near there yet, but time and the further atrocities of the Enclave could put her over the edge.
I think the real question is, if Glory tried to pull this off, would the joke stay funny? I like the concept, but have trouble seeing it be both successful and filled with enough comedic gold to keep the joke running, since currently it's being carried by the very fact that she's not a Dashite and wishes to return to her prior form.

Can't say I much care for the new format; is anyone else getting avatars that overflow over to the right? Also don't care for the lack of conspicuous divider between posts.
But enough about problems I have with other things, when I can think instead about how I almost ruined a perfectly good drink by adding black pepper in place of nutmeg!
*edit. And we're back to normal. That was fast. And weird.

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
As to your first point that is valid he could have been smuggled out days before except I believe and I'm blanking where I read this that one of the memory orbs or Saingune or someone mentioned visiting Goldenblood in jail. As for Spec-Ops ponies loyal to him I'm guessing all of them were still loyal to him. But there is a difference between being loyal and acting on their own initiative to bust him out. The OIA is still kinda screwy in we don't know why and how Partypooper came to be and who the hell thought the Mane Six were conspiring to overthrow Luna. It's one of the bigger WTF's in that it makes no sense. Unless it was cover for the EC-1101 to never go off by purging the master list of approved users.Sindri wrote:The shield only went up when the missiles were about to hit; he could have been smuggled out that morning. Well, you were proposing that it would be Glory, and I like that idea. Now that you mention it, though... Well, like I said, Somber did say that the teal was deliberate...FeatherDust wrote:I, uh.... I think that Glory'd be much better for the job, though.
Oh, good question. And the answer is...FeatherDust wrote:Oh, hey, by the way -- I'm too lazy to try to find it myself, does anyone recall if the transformation healed the Dashite brand (but replaced it with REAL Dash cutie marks)?
...Which is somewhat worrying...Somber wrote:“Come on! Move!” Glory shouted as she strafed the vines with her gatling beam gun. But P-21 and Rampage gaped at her. “What are you staring at? Move!” Finally, the pair began to run towards us, leaving the vines hissing and rubbing together. Glory turned and shouted, “Aw yeah!” And then she froze. She touched her throat with a bright blue hoof, then turned to stare at a stunning rainbow-colored tail. Where once she’d had a brand, now she had a vivid rainbow lightning bolt and cloud on her flank.
Hm... Able to save her home only while she's in a body that she can't stand (while also liking it and hating that she likes it)? Said body being historically viewed overwhelmingly negatively by her people and likely still being divisive? Possible even having to pretend to be Rainbow Dash to pull the job off? I think that it's still "funny" enough, but it's not deadly enough for ordinary Killing Joke. On the other hand, the Joke at Hippocratic had no particular reason to be ordinary, considering the circumstances, and we've already some evidence that it might not be, so...Icy Shake wrote:FeatherDust wrote:The thing is, absolutes like that make me nervous. True, but it would be absolutely hilarious when she reverted to normal right in front of the entire Enclave.Icy Shake wrote:I think the real question is, if Glory tried to pull this off, would the joke stay funny? So do ya think Goldenblood could be in the Redoubt?
Also Littlehorn broke Luna, right?
Also, can Poison Joke and Killing Joke co-exist? Or maybe Glory's is actually a delayed joke?

I sincerely doubt Goldie is in the Redoubt. I'm of the opinion that the Redoubt is merely a gateway or teleporter of some sort that connects to a secret Stable on the Moon.
Luna was upset about Littlehorn, but she didn't visibly collapse. Did it push her into the spiraling insanity of the war? Mebbe. Who can really say?
I see no reason PJ and KJ couldn't live in the same environment. The KJ might out-compete the PJ, I suppose... but no, Glory was explicitly touched by a KJ vine. PJ is an immobile, ground-covering flower. They're visibly distinct.

"What! Hey put me down!"
**moments later**
"Relax Glory, now put on that look you gave me last week and try to look pleased with yourself... yes like what Homage is doing, now snuggle closer under the covers"
"......."
"I think we broke Littlepip.... and why we are doing this again?"
"Because Glory this is where I'm going to have Life Bloom start the memory, now please try to look more lascivious"

SilentCarto wrote:Ugh, that gave me a vision of Goldie sitting in his second-story cell as the Pink slowly leaks into the cell block. The "lucky" prisoners with windows are the first to go; their cells become waterfalls of Pink Cloud as it rushes in and runs across the floor to pour into the lower level. The other prisoners are screaming and crying and shouting to Celestia for forgiveness while they try to climb on their furniture to stay above the gradually rising gas. But there's nowhere to go, and the first floor is eventually flooded. Goldenblood just looks up as the sea of thick pink starts to lap over the edge of the second floor and into his cell.Cptadder wrote:I really hope he's dead however, old Goldy has to many issues with possible Sue characteristics. A death alone in a cell lost and forgotten days after he lost everything fits him quite well.
"So. You finally came back for me."
Let us not forget though that while he wouldn't know this... he is immune to the pink cloud. (Or aught to be unless not truly dying to it first removes the immunity)

I don't think the K.Joke has any control over its jokes after the target breaks contact with the plant. It's not psychically watching them; it just plays what it thinks is a funny joke at the moment. Is that giant train-pulling pony we saw a while back "funny"? He seemed to be doing okay.Icy Shake wrote:I think the real question is, if Glory tried to pull this off, would the joke stay funny? I like the concept, but have trouble seeing it be both successful and filled with enough comedic gold to keep the joke running, since currently it's being carried by the very fact that she's not a Dashite and wishes to return to her prior form.
The only suggestion we've ever seen that Joke's spells end when it stops being funny was from Blackjack's point of view, and she's not a clever pony. More likely she stopped exploding just because she'd used up all the magical energy the plant invested in that spell*. There does seem a malicious humor in saving one last bang for an opportune moment, but that's more narrative imperative than anything else.
* Transformations would, logically, require energy to cause or reverse, but there's no good reason it would require energy to continue once it's done. IN other words, every time BJ explodes, there's energy going out, but there's no continuous energy drain to keep Glory looking like Dash.
The more I think about it, the more I love this idea. Glory loves the Enclave. She's not a Dashite (a traitor who turns her back on the whole thing), but to save the Enclave from chaos, civil war, and worse, she has to pretend to be the most despised figure in her nation's history. Because as much as they hate Dash, she was the one who said "Come down from the clouds", and they certainly have no choice now.O. Hinds wrote:Hm... On the other hand, the Joke at Hippocratic had no particular reason to be ordinary, considering the circumstances, and we've already some evidence that it might not be, so...
"It took you two hundred years and a gigantic push, but you're finally here. And I'm here waiting for you. Welcome back."
And honestly, I suspect there's a carefully concealed grudging admiration for Dash along with the state-sanctioned hate. It's hard to truly hate somebody who feels so strongly that they'll walk into hell all alone for what they believe in.

"I am cursed by the stars!"
"Sneaking now."
*Cue Cerberus, somehow having survived hightower, sitting at Mortuary, one arm looped around Carrion and his other two arms swinging bottles of oil*
"An... an then I sees her... with the ZEBRA!" He splashes some oil on one eye. "That WHORE!"
"Don't you belong in that other bar?"
"And I sez to her... I... sez... Missy! I am programmed like a MAN, an' I gots real artificual feelins. Slut!"
"Robots can't get drunk. Piss off."
Ahuizotl accepts another clampful of caps from Cerberus.
"Now, now, Carrion. The caps he brought from Afterlife are as good as any ghoul's."
Carrion grumbles. Cerberus throws all of his arms around the griffon, spilling the oil down his back. "You're the best fren' a old war bot could ever haf."

Heh, I was a little worried the picture would end up getting overlooked through all the discussion that's been going on, I'm glad not, for just being more or less 4 colors it was still a lot of work.
