In an absolutely unrelated in any way post;

I have my 45 grams of shrooms now O___O they arrived today and... oh man.
Do I really have to wait until next Friday? That's a week away!
-.- it sucks, it really sucks.
but I know with 45g I gotta give myself the whole day otherwise I'd be a bit fucked.

So yes. If I act strange next Friday - I apologise, its the shrooms.

My plan is to 'meet' Crimson & Cherry next time.
If I focus on them, I should be able to bring them to the forefront of my mind and perhaps even see them if I use a visual aide.

Just a heads up, but did you know most hallucinogenic mushrooms grow in manure? I read an encyclopedia on American fungi and the hallucinogenic ones other than Fly Amanita that I remember grow in cow shit.

I
don't think the title picture should be updated with those characters
any more for the same reason that the post on EQD hasn't had any more
fanart since BJ got cyberlegs: They would be absolutely huge spoilers
for those who haven't read the story before or aren't up to date on the
latest chapters.

Some day I would like to try drawing them all together though, it's my next major project to do after I catch up on a bunch of smaller things. Of course. Anyone who does drugs and doesn't know that little piece of information is... lacking, to say the least.

I personally pick them occasionally, I have two friends who pick & sell, I have connections out in the Netherlands who grow using scientific labs to avoid the need for manure and I have friends in Finland who can do that as well - though they're a lot more rare and it's only happened once.

You just need to make sure they're thoroughly washed before you eat them.
(washing them in cold water doesn't remove any of the
Psilocybin (main active ingredient) and thus is highly recommended).

It's also a part cure for depression which gives me even more reason to use them.
(medically proven and I too can vouch for them)

I don't understand your question. I think you're asking how she could hit Pinkie but then be safe from the bomb, right? She fired from the roof of the MAS building -- Tenpony Tower -- which was protected by its own shields.

Kippershy wrote:There was one balefire bomb went off directly -outside- Manehattan but I don't think any went off inside. As for their characteristics, I think it was a small-ish radius of immediate effect but a larger radius of magical radiation.
Though I could be absolutely wrong.
Manehattan was destroyed by a planted nuke on the south end of the island, right in the middle of Downtown (and up a building, judging from the lack of a surface crater). Tenpony Tower is the nearest still-standing skyscraper because of its shields.

I'm fine with this.
Seriously, your mum is awesome and I'd love to hug her. I was thinking about a meet-up today (as a joke) and decided the first thing I'd do is silently walk around not quite introducing myself until I find the shy guy standing by himself or just having little to say - then run at him with hugs.
(because I can totally see you doing that)

Then I'd actively hunt down Somber who I could tell by the look of fear in his face.
I'd hunt him down and run at him and grab him and not let go for a little while.

then I'd hunt down Kim and uh...
*cough*

ahahahahaha.

As for the second thing?
Oh, you did not just tell me to be safe.
Me? safe?
5g can be enough for a light trip, 8-12g for a medium to heavy trip, 15g for a heavy trip.

When I took 30g my world melted around me and completely changed.

...I'm taking 45g.

...There is no safe, only extremely awesome.

AHA! THE THREAD BREAK IS MINE!!

This picture is a good few months old now (taken back in early November) but shows my build compared to a good range of people.

Spoiler:

...so yes, that would be quite frightening, especially as I can sprint faster then all but one of the people in my group. I would give the speeds that the machine was telling us but quite frankly I'm in a mix of not absolutely sure and not willing to trust the speeds I think it said and seem like a fool... but point is, I can sprint damn fast and getting smacked by 200lbs of me would be painful for anyone at the speeds I can move.

Somber wouldn't be able to breathe from the bearhug I plan to give him (and not release him from until I've had some nice nuzzling into his chest like a child...)

Hhahhaa.

I just want to be looooooved.

edit: OH. bonus picture for you all; full grown horse. IT KNOWS.

Yep, I did. Also, most manure is just grass anyway. My back yard grows much faster than the front yard, likely because I have 3 dogs. Anyway, most of those mushrooms grow in only conditions met by cow manure. I love reading about mushrooms, but some of them freak me out.

While I have no intention of using any drugs for recreation, I know quite a bit about them. Compared to most people I know, at least.

Kattlarv wrote:(Pinkie) It still doesn't make much sense at all though, going with how Pinkie's skeleton now indeed was confirmed to be burnt AND in a CORNER. In PH, she's sitting in her chair when she gets shot as far as I recall. Plus, how did Psalm make it out from a balefire explosion? She'd basically have to run several kilometres within a minute or so.
...
@Sindri: (Pinkie) Yeah, as said, she COULD have burnt, all we know is that she was huddled up in a corner, hugging Twilight's statuette. Not dying in her chair like here. And as said, she could have been killed by the shock wave, debris, heat, radiation or suicide.
No, she very specifically sat down against the wall before being shot. And that particular balefire explosion, IIRC, went off inside a sabotaged shield, containing the fires. Psalm was at sniper range, and the weapons used were on the "city block" scale rather than the "region" scale, on the other side of two shields intended to block megaspells. She'd be fine.

Re: BM's death. I have to say that in here, it doesn't seem like BM did anything at all but be shot, but I can say I could see it as they making it a media thing of it. Even if it removes all of his heroic sacrifice in that matter.
Macintosh spotted the sniper and positioned himself between the bullet and Celestia because he didn't have time for anything else. They didn't target him, and if catching a bullet for your goddess isn't a heroic sacrifice I don't know what is.

Sigh... [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion - Page 4 702243357
Srsly? Why would anyone make a podcast just to say "hey, look at this cool thing I didn't bother to read!"

Are they just whoring for followers among people who look at the title and don't listen to it or something?

Pretty much all commercial mushrooms grow in shit. All those nice healthy ones in the supermarket? Grown in trays of manure in a dark, hot hut.

Sounds great, pm me the address and date and I'll-

hrm. I was planning on doing... stuff later this decade. And I doubt your house is big enough to hold all of us for more than a few hours. This may need to be re-thought.

Okay. Okay. I give in. I used to be cold, heartless and other similar descriptive terms, but one simply can't endure so much HNNGGGG in such a short space of time. Congratulations. You just broke me. I now feel emotions other than hatred and depression. I actually smiled for the first time in months. I feel the need to type more things. I don't care how creepy this may/may not seem, but I love you all. Thanks, and good day to you all. RANT OVER.
