you've not tricked me into anything. I'm not losing out by giving you my support, it isn't costing me a thing.
you're worth it, anyway.

You guys are seriously my role models sometimes. Not just for stuff like this, but for all sorts of things. :) That includes you, Ryx!

First of all, the comic issue.

I'm really sorry about that dude, I hadn't realised it'd upset anyone.

As for the support I give you - I give you all my support because I want to, because it makes me feel good, because you deserve it and because I hope it makes you happy.

I'm really sorry you lost your writing... I know what that's like, for writing and drawings... I hope you can recapture the feeling of as much of what you lost as possible.

I'll be okay, it's just seeing it again was hard. I know I'm over-emotional, and take things too personally... and... well I have a lot of problems. As long as Somber's okay, that's what matters.

*hugs you again*

Oh Celestia... I may be able to accept my art isn't as bad as I think it is, but please don't look to me as a role model. That is a terrible idea, OAC. *hugs you too*

Sindri wrote:[quote="NoodleNugget"No actual evidence of that. We have good reason to believe Psalm is or was in Lacunae's head, due to joining unity and being made up almost entirely of the kind of regrets that got shunted into Lacaloonie, but we really don't know who was dominant or even if there was one.
Unlike Rampage, each individual alicorn has one soul, one personality. Most of them are so heavily linked into the Unity that their normal personality is submerged, but we've seen multiple cases in Canterlot and Zebratown (and after the death of the Goddess) where the base personality emerged due to being cut off from the Goddess. Lacunae has a lot of other chunks shoved into her, but the fact that Psalm is as important to her personality as Trixie and Twilight indicates that this is indeed Psalm's body. And the fact that her behavior didn't change following BJ's soul-dive means that all the pieces that make her up are still present.

Right, finally had free time to read. Was partially distracted by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCwx1tbAGlw (adult humour, with obvious modifications/changes to apply for me xD)

Anyhow, review time:

You deserve sunshine and rainbows, Somber, I know you do... *hugs again*

It's fine. It's just sad in that there's people who tell me 'why to do write so grimdark?' or 'How does it get so bleak' and the answer is 'Its not that dark for me.' I know things suck for BJ, but honestly what comes out of my head is just 'what works best for the narrative' and when its done folks read it and go 'Dude, this is dark!' and I can only shrug and apologize. It is as it is, and it has me concerned for when I work on my next project if that's going to be too dark too. I'm more concerned that it upset you, Ryx. ::hugs:: You're a great pony and a wonderful artist and I'm glad to know you. Don't worry about me.

About that picture:

I think it is very wrong that someone would make it, who are they to judge what someone writes? Sometimes the story just goes there, and it has made it amazing. I personally don't find it to be that dark, but that's just me, I've already seen most of the stuff in this story in the real world.

I'm sorry that you had to see the picture as well Somber, because it is very messed up that people would even think of that kind of thing. (They always will, but that doesn't mean I have to like it).

Anyways, I'm going back to Mod-Lurk mode Shy

So today, my department got drafted to help move a bunch of company work vehicles to get oil changes and body work before we sell them to another company. As such, my normal work is kind of disrupted, and... well, something fell out of my brain.

In other news, Boo is now cakeomancer. This is canon.

Well if you really want to know, I have an idea for a fantasy story in which a princess is forced to conceal her gender in order to inheret her father's throne. To this end, she's been part of an indepth deception where her entire childhood has been sheltered and prescribed and she is a virtual prisoner. All this changes when an orphan boy stumbled on her in her bath and realizes that the prince is a girl, and that he is very quickly about to be another annoymous corpse dumped in the woods. Kith, however, impresses upon the Prince's keeper Valdeer that it's really wierd how the Prince is locked up and almost nobody knows anything about him. Valdeer accepts that if things continue as they are, the only thing Aerith will rule will be her own chamber pot. And so Kith becomes the Prince's 'companion', a role many aristocrats employ as friends, lovers, and thugs. As Aerith grows up, he tries to help her maintain the facade and he is taught by Valdeer to become a companion worth having; teaching him swordsplay and intrigue. Aerith, meanwhile, grows more and more aware how things are wrong in the kingdom. Kith explains that between the crown, the aristocrats, and the merchants, the commoners are taxed and pinched within an inch of their lives. Courts are for sale and aristocrats are virtually untouchable. Her father's myopia on preserving his rule and not having the crown go to her uncle or cousins (one would sell the kingdom, literally, to its neighbors. The others are a vicious psychopath, an utterly incompetant coward, and one who would be okay if he weren't twelve.) has allowed he kingdom to deteriorate badly.

So Aerith has to convince the aristocrats that she is a boy, that she is competent enough to rule, smart enough not to screw up, decadent enough she won't disrupt the aristocrat's status quo, and good enough to appeal to the masses. She's just getting her feet under her... when her father dies. The church of immaculate order (think catholics with nukes) has to inspect her 'virtue of the flesh' to make sure she's of the appropriate gender. After all, if a woman assumes the throne she could be a wych with infernal powers. So one of Aerith's servants starts a war with the barbarians to the north.

And then... of course... Aerith really turns out to be a wych after all...

Yeah... This is why I can't write short stories....

While it may not be ponies, it sounds interesting all the same.
It may have been the pony aspect that drew me to your story at first, but it's definitely the writing skill, characters & their development that keeps me here (along with plot of course).

So whenever you do start that, let us know, eh? =)

That storyline reminds me a little of Fable 3's and something else I can't identify, which is bugging the crap out of me. It looks solid, though Fantasy isn't really my thing. Which era of technological development would it be set in?

I suggest you look into it. It requires strategic ability and is rather stimulating. I don't know if it is available in Ukraine or the language though, but I know it exists in German at least.
It's called Magic the Gathering.
