Hmm. Been lurking discussions on the net about 30fps vs 60fps for video games. Having a hard time distinguishing difference sometimes. Is high framerate the reason why it looks "weird" when I go over to my uncle's house and watch anything in HD cable?

Mhm. With higher FPS (even for TV, not only for PC) picture looks more 'real'..which freaked me out first time, when I saw it at my uncle's apartment.

If any of the documentaries I've seen are right, then the bit about the Marines is spot-on. I can't comment about the Air Force.

The Marines are more concerned about their badass image than actually engaging the enemy, so that fits. 

From what I've learned and dealt with concerning the Air Force......"corporation" is still being too nice.

I'll be honest here with movies I sort of prefer the classic 24fps. Most of the 60fps movies look like they come from home camcorders and just look cheap.

However if we are talking strictly video games anything less than 60fps makes me sad because I come to expect the "realistic" feel.

I drive their bigger cousin, the FMTV. Kinda hard to fuck up driving them, you've got mirrors everywhere and a TC to tell you what's happening on the right. You must be riding around in the back while the driver has fun with potholes.

I swear, the fucker swerved to catch every one.

And my attitude wasn't helped when I got back to my company in time to see my squad leader leaving.

Oh man, I forgot that was ever a thing! Does it still work? I thought they'd fixed it circa, like, Oblivion or something. Though I still like best the glitch that allowed you to clone items using arrows. Filling up the houses of NPCs I found irritating with watermelons and/or skulls was always a good time.

The duplication glitch is probably to this day one of my favorite glitches. As far as I am aware its still unpatched! You don't use arrows but spell scrolls now.

Oblivion was/is so hilariously broken.

I think Katarn is more interested in the warcraft universe. WoW's a pretty good time sink. It usually gives you something to show for whatever time you put in.
