Greenheart's FAQ states that they're not going to release any updates for GDT. That's kinda unfortunate. :/

I mean, there's definitely room for expansion and more concepts. Even though some things can be done by mods... well, mods have quality issues.

I just realized something.  The one very good genre in story telling that gets next to no attention in the fandom whatsoever and have only seen one FoE fanfic in the genre is deconstruction stories.

I don't mean explaining to the reader the FoE universe so much as the character in the fanfic learning that the wasteland follows the monomyth.  The hero of the story leaves home, completes the quest, saves the day; has to re-leave home, complete another quest, save the day again the has to leave home again to complete yet another quest and save the day so forth.  The ending being that the main character learns that nothing ever changes in the wasteland cause the wasteland's economy is essentially war.

There could be a infinite number of after stories or continuations of the story.  All ranging from the hero of the story becoming a saint to becoming the scariest villain or just becoming a major force in the wasteland.

If you had two main characters or more you could have them differ on their paths to show the differences between them instead of just going, "What if".  Their best friend in the first half of the story would be their ultimate rival in the second half cause they both think their way is the best way of changing things.
