Alrighty, so I'm drinking for the first time in earnest. The first effect I've noticed is that I'm getting more stoic and getting an increased sense of superiority over others (especially POGs). On the downside, I was started off with a shot of warm Jaeger, so now I can taste nothing but black fucking liquorish.

Also important side note about alcohol:
If you ever get a hold of everclear one cap full you're plastered; two cap fulls you're in the hospital; three cap fulls you're fucking dead. . . and that's not a exaggeration.

Also if you ever try absinthe one of the best things to do is get a absinthe spoon, put a sugar in it, put a lighter under it till it melts, stir it in and drink it. You'll start hallucinating if you do that.

I picked up a pack of them at the Wal-Mart, so far they've been pretty good. "To Hell and Back" was the best so far, but I've still got thirteen movies to go. They're old, sure, but drinking and watching the Duke, Charles Bronson, Burt Lancaster, and Henry Fonda kill things is a nice way to ring in the new year.

A bit of good news in america.

Utah is going to appeal the striking down of their ban on same sex marriages.  The appeal will probably only go to one of the supreme court justices though or may be convened with all of them.  The appeal falls under guess which supreme court justice?  Sotomayor. . . Fucking congratulations people filling for the appeal, you all are D.U.M.B.A.S.S.E.S.

No matter what is done and even if the decision will be kicked back down to the state courts the fact that the appeal is under sotomayor's jurisdiction what will follow is that more states will have their ban on gay marriage struck down as a result.

Why? Fire is good.

Don't get me wrong, I love explosives and other destructive devices. I just don't like it when I'm unaware of their location and/or the direction of the munitions. If I were in the middle of everyone setting off the fireworks, I'd be just dandy, but I'm in my house. I've already had one of those things go off a few feet from my face a few months back, so now they make me a little more antsy than usual.

It's a shame no one set off any fireworks in my area. I had to postpone my own machinations for lack of covering sounds. Surprising, as the rabble's hedonism is usually as predictable as the rising of my visage to light the world.

Anyone else kinda excited about FaceRig? I checked it out, and it seems pretty cool. I hope those guys manage to reach their goals.

It's sketchy. They list other games using their software as a bullet point, but looking around their site I didn't see mention of other companies showing interest. Maybe their hoping for it later but right now it seems dishonest. They also mention that if you buy it now you'll be securing it for a low price, but if you check out their FAQ they state that you will be charged a fee for major updates.

Right now the thing seems sketchy. Maybe I'm being paranoid though.

I also have to question how accurate something that uses the webcam would be. The kinect that in all honesty I don't know much about was built around the idea of motion controls and from what I've heard and seen but have not experienced first hand isn't very good at it. So I'm skeptical that a cheap webcam can detect eye and eyebrow movement like they're saying it will be able to.
