if you're running 32 bit, by definition you can't have more than 4 GB of ram (you can have more than 4GB of ram in hardware, but the OS won't be able to use more than 4GB), but in practice it generally limits around 3.5 GB.

If you set the options to use more memory than is available, that may be a problem.

But if I want to use 3gb then it should work? If so then what do I need to do?

So what should I put in the additional parameters? Cause that code I listed earlier didn't work.

If you can get the Feed The Beast launcher to start, there's an option screen where you can set the amount of ram allocated to your Minecraft instance.

Other than that, I don't know.

The problem isn't that it's not running, it's that it's only reading 1gb and I can only select 1gb max.

I have a better idea, starting Saturday the server is moving to a new home.  A new home on a professionally hosted server.

Is there no copper ore in the twilight forest, or it's just my luck that I can't find any?

So it seems that the whole twilight forest is too close to the bedrock for any copper to occur.
That said, um... where do you find any of it, if the overworld doesn't have any mod ore?

The overworld should have some. From what I've seen it's the older chunks that don't have the mod ores.

So... I just need to go to a place in the overworld that is far away from the city to dig?

Far enough to start experiencing more lag than usual as the server generate new chunks.

I think you would need to go at least five or ten thousands blocks away from Somberville to find areas that haven't been explored yet. I were you, I'd go north, past Stable 0 and the ocean, farther than the Bunker.

Well, I found out that mod ores exist in the empty area marked as Hoofington. So I guess I'll start there.

Just a heads up, but the ftb team said a while back that they recommended a world restart for the 1.6 update.  I don't know how bad things will be if we try to keep our world.  That was said a month or so ago, so things may have changed since then.  I think one of the supposed problems I heard about was all the liquids in old worlds getting deleted.  I did hear that from a modder and not one of the members of the ftb team, though, so that information about the liquids may be inaccurate.
