The PHCC server uses both Feed the Beast and a custom mod pack to enable lots of new and interesting things not possible in vanilla Minecraft.  However setup is made easy thanks to Feed the beast.

First go to http://feed-the-beast.com/ and download Feed the Beast.  
When you start feed the beast you'll see this...


To play on the server you need to do three things.
Step One Select FTB Ultimate Pack
Step Two Select the current version of the Ultimate pack (CURRENT VERSION=1.02)
Step Three, put your login information here and hit launch.

After that it's just Minecraft hit join server put in the IP in my signature and your good to go.  We do not use whitelists or passwords at this time.



This thread is for tracking the various projects related to our Minecraft server, sharing pictures and the like.  The IP is in my signature as always.

Newcomers to the Server should head on in to Stable Zero (Directly across from the spawn block), you will find beds, food and all the tools you need to get started.
Our main operations are in Somberville which can be arrived at via the long cobblestone elevated roadway or the underground Stable to Somberville subway.

At the moment it's a Vanilla server, version is 1.3.2 or whatever is the current release.
Servers are down at the moment due to Mojang problems.

*Servers are down as in all multiplayer servers and have been for three hours now.

I am landscaping the town as I build my House/cake shop, adding dirt where there was previously sand. I patched some creeper holes as well.

Reminder all the server is currently down due to Mojang issues, still down four hours. I'm going to bed shortly... hopefully it's working the morning.

Again the server is fine, the problem is on Mojangs end making it impossible to get MP sessions going without turning off authentication.

Update
The Express Subway is 70% done after another twenty minutes of work (Hooray for super good enchanted pickaxes), just need to either gather a bunch of gold or tear up and relay the old tracks.

Unless you managed to achieve an incredible amount of work while I was sleeping, the Stable is faaaaaaar from being done. I'd say, as I left it yesterday, it's only 15-20% on the way there.

There's still lots of farms (LOTS) to be constructed, the habitation levels I'm not sure they have been really started yet, and we're still far from [REDACTED].

Oh boy. New assessment of the situation, and there's just so much more to do than I thought. We haven't even scratched the surface of that Stable.

Ended up around 2500 in both Z and X axis. No villages, but I did find a desert temple with 4 emeralds and a half stack of gold. I found a pack of wolves and tamed them, giving me 4 adults and 2 pups. I also got to level 30.

Reminder server will be on on Wednesdays due to me needing it for work tomorrow. I'm going to try and get a duplicate server up and running as I copy everything over. Might or might not work. Just a timeframe issue

OAN:The hunt for villages is on. I went west past the desert temple we already found ran into grasslands, desert islands and snow again without finding anything of importance besides another ultra deep ravine.

Got a lot done today. Nether fortress was found and raided, and is quite close to the portal. Nether wart farm is also operational, 'das good... lost my pickaxe though, using a replacement now.

Stable Zero Example Stable is under construction
Stable Zero to Sombertropolis Railway is 90% complete, need redstone to finish the lighting and the station needs to be completed in the city.
MAS section of Stable Zero is under construction

Orange is doing something aside from just raiding fortresses, ask him. Ketchup is also doing something whatever it is

Tyler is working on the City, decorating the main building at the moment I believe.

Good news, on the server this morning after creeping it up with Skill and Necro last night I went on check the furances and emptying them pushed me over lvl 30 again and I enchanted a pickaxe.... and got Unbreakable III, Fortune III on it, it's in the enchanting room box.

Taking the server down to switch it to the alternate box, should be up in half an hour.

Current project for me updating (Sorry lack of luck finding redstone killed my interest in the subway for now) is to make use of the nether and build us a proper nether transportation network. Got 2/3 of a stone brick way to the other half of the nether. A gate there should put us waay far away from the stable.

Of course, the server was started by the PH Comment Crew but it's open to all.

Stable Zero Phase 1 60% Complete
Stable Zero to Somberville Express Railway 90% Complete (Need to finish Somberville station)

Going forward Stable Zero is just another build project and a place for people fresh to our server to start out

Stable Alpha (Placeholder name) 30% Complete
We need a slim farm for the large amount of sticky pistons that Stable Alpha requires

Have completed, Hotel, Bank, Art Gallery, Enchantment hut, Central Offices, Glass Factory, Cake Shop

.....stuff... Somberville is very much a large scale collective burst of imagination, less a plan than creativity springing up Vegas style in the desert.

Slime farms are relatively easy to make, surprisingly.


Large area (very large) of flat terrain, WELL LIT. Slimes spawn no matter the light condition, so if you remove the chance for other mobs to spawn - you gain the spawn ratio chance over to slimes.

You should know the depth.


Larger the area, the better. If you want help with it, let me know.

I have two stairways cut for the two dormitory wings- I'm going to do a little work on the upper wing (the one on the right) right now. Still planning on the hab levels being symmetrical in the stable I'm working on, but they're going to be offset by a bit so that the doors don't interfere with each other (and because I miscalculated slightly but we'll overlook that).
