Firstly: No idea where to find that xDLast wrote:Mind sharing your friend code Kim? For pokemon purposes.
Secondly: Missed my "flailed some at all the sold out pokemon"? xP
On a unrelated side note: Holy hay they take a lot for DLC for fire emblem. Like, cut the price by at least ~80 % and then I MIGHT start to consider it. I'm not paying 2-3 times what the game is worth/cost to unlock around 1/4'th more content. If even that.
@Robo: (banana) Seems faily good comparison to a penis compared to a cervix... along with why bigger is worse xD
@Katarn: (nightmare rarity) Speaking of that, I still find it derp Pinkie's supposed most fond memory of Rarity is when she farted in the tub...
Comic wise, can say I've very ~eh mixed to them. Sure, they're neat. But they got quite a bit of blargh in them. Least messed up some canon for me. At least disliked when they went full stereotype on some stuff or seemingly wrecked continuity. But I do have to say they've made certain things really well.

That and the Spartacus one from months ago has redeemed Starbucks for me a bit from all the bad rep they get. That said I still probably won't go to one cause I don't drink coffee.

I'd post more, but I've become more and more introverted to the point where I have very little to say most of the time outside of thinking aloud.

Re: [Official!] Project Horizons Comment Crew Chat thread.
This was one of the worries when the chat thread was originally created, IIRC - during lulls, sometimes there just wouldn't be all that much to chat about.
So, let's talk about something! Anyone have any utopian projects spinning around the back of their mind that they've never really had the chance to try to explain to anyone else? Crazy ideas for technology? I've got both, but here's one for the latter - you know those charge-surfaces they made a while back, for use on cell phones and suchlike? Why not make a mousepad version, for use with wireless mice? As I recall, the problem with wireless mice is that they die on you at irritating times; the problem with wired mice is that the wire is a pain to deal with sometimes. A USB mousepad that provides charge to the mouse solves the problem of the wire (because the wire isn't attached to the mouse) and also kills the battery life issue that wireless mice have. Mind you it'd be expensive, but so is a lot of gaming equipment - and this would be gaming equipment, because I don't know of anybody else who'd complain about their mouse wire getting in the way.
I also want them - "them" meaning Pepsi or Coke or something - to invent a soft drink that is literally just water with caffeine in it and maybe some pure cranberry juice, but that's just me.

Oh I have one. A cheap knock off version of photoshop that instead of having everything and costing hundreds of dollars instead just have the basic tools for people that want to draw art and that the program is open source so that if someone makes a new tool for it just add it on when the program boots. That way people can just download tool apps people have made and if they're not going to be using it just turn it off to use less of your system. The person who makes it just work on bug fixing and making it work better and openly welcoming anyone that wants to make new tools for it.Overlong Analysis Cobalt wrote:Crazy ideas for technology?

Isn't that like what GIMP is supposed to be trying to do? I don't know about tablet support for it, but it's open source and all that.cb5 wrote:Oh I have one. That's what they're trying to do, but their major problem is that they don't have cmyk format support cause that would violate copyright laws cause adobe has rights to the adobe cmyk format. If GIMP allowed for people to have a app folder of user created apps that could be a work around. If GIMP did make it to where you could save it in a photoshop cmyk format then adobe would crush it legally like the fist of a angry god.Overlong Analysis Cobalt wrote:Isn't that like what GIMP is supposed to be trying to do? I think it already exists, it's called GIMP.cb5 wrote:Oh I have one. I've got a few ideas for games that would require Triple-A sized budgets to pull off. One's a first or third person shooter in a magitek universe that runs on blood magic. You'd have this gauntlet-thing on your forearm that would let you do all sorts of powers from homing projectiles (ala the needler from Halo), beams that you could curve, shields (both stationary and around you), flamethrowers and more. The catch is that using said powers comes at the cost of your own blood and/or life-force, so using too much would weaken or even kill you. Blood would be used for more projectile attacks and shields while life-force would be for more energy based powers, things that require both would be very powerful, but drain you quickly. You would have very limited regeneration at most, and only able to resupply at your base and/or taking the time to extract it from your dead enemies (or even comrades) Perhaps a medic class (if it was to be class based) would be able to extract more quickly/gain more and be able to revive comrades at the cost of their own blood and life-force.
The ideas I have for the world/society would either be a slave based one (because someone's needed to power the blood generators) or be heavily class based with the warriors/soldiers being exceptionally honored because they have to take the effects on a per individual basis while most other things would be spread across multiple people. This would allow for a slave/lower class uprising story, or it could go in an entirely different direction like their more conventional neighbor invades, a regular honor fights between houses/clans turns into a full scale war, or something entirely different. Though there has to be an unit that uses conventional firearms (even just flintlocks) just for the line "They're not killing themselves!" to be said entirely seriously.

I know what gimp is. The only real problem with gimp as I said is that you can't save stuff in photoshop cmyk format due to copyright laws and gimp would get sued for a insane amount of money, cause adobe are kind of dicks.stringtheory wrote:I think it already exists, it's called GIMP.cb5 wrote:Oh I have one. Eh, I make do without. GIMP is compatible with pretty much everything else out there, so it's not really an issue.cb5 wrote:I know what gimp is. Why does cmyk format matter if its an entirely different program? Though there's cross-compatibility and everything.cb5 wrote:I know what gimp is.
