God damn it!
Have you folks been paying attention to how congress is acting like a bunch of children with the budget?  Boehner isn't going to allow a vote to raise the debt ceiling unless the things he wants pass.  This is "Oh shit! Oh fuck!" levels of bad, cause in thirtheen days the government is going to default on it's debts cause one single dude is upset he's not getting what he wants.

This is really bad cause if that happens the government is going to go into bankruptcy.  Imagine the usa HAVING to pay back all $17 trillion dollars and not being able to borrow anymore.  When a government defaults and goes into bankruptcy it can not borrow any more money.

Don't worry about it, dude. Worst comes to worst, you'll get your chance to pay them back for their failings in the anarchist wasteland America will become.  But really, it's probably not going to come to that. Boner's too weak to stand up (do ho ho) to his own party, but he's also probably too weak not to cave before things get that far.

Apparently they are that dumb, that is what is worrying. When a group of elected officials meant to run your country are so dumb that they don't understand that defaulting means no longer being able to borrow money that is kind of scary.

The first thing to remember about Congress is that they are that dumb.

The only nice thing about this is that they're not escaping from public backlash, which they're usually so adept at.

Does anyone else get the impression that Brony barely reads our posts, or is it just me? Another related question, why does he write like he's texting rather than posting?

My best guess is that he transitioned from Twitter or some other social medium to this forum, thus the random posts and statements about his current whereabouts.

Considering the point of the game was, in part, that the "fun" Jason's been having was his rapid descent into madness, and that everything from the radio towers and outposts to the relics and sidequests are meant to be purely extras for the extremely dark and cynical storyline of trying to rescue Jason's friends and escape the hellish island ruled by psychotics resisted only by bloodthirsty, amoral warriors, I'd say that "you missed the point" is still a pretty fair assessment.

It goes further than that too. Like this could have world wide implications not just "The US be broke"

IF we did default on our debt I could easily see another recession that has the possibility of impacting the world as a whole.

He's my favourite writer in the medium at the moment, for what that opinion is worth.
There are plenty of things posted in the thread for his story relating to what people think of him as a writer. Much of it good.
