Personally, it's the notion of superhero comics I have issues with.

I mean, I get the idea of the lone vigilante taking justice into its own hands is a very American things, but, I dunno... It's hard to take the idea seriously when they think the best way to go about it is to dress as if it was carnival day / halloween / [insert dress-up holiday of your choice].

The very notion of superpowered heroes is starting to fade even. The audience relates better to a hero that's just as squishy and human as thy are. One that gets by on wits, determination and skill rather than just brute force 'superpowers' that are powered by the plot
