Eh, this thread is meant to be lax about topic, so unless they spam it to the point where no other topics can make it through, it's fine.

Err... no. If they "spam" it so much no other topics can get through, you either wait until they stop, or you spam until they can no longer discuss stuff.
There are no spam-related rules in this topic... after all, this is the one you were so proud to have posted an entire fic in, since people couldn't really talk around your walls of text. You certainly didn't get reprimanded for that, and neither can anyone else when they're actually speaking to each other rather than just doing the forum equivalent of yelling over everyone else :P

I wasn't trying to sound authoritarian, what I mean is if they're getting to the point where they've got a whole thread worth of specific topic stuff and have a related topic thread already going, they may as well take it over to the specific thread for it at that point.
A few spams here and there aren't going to do any harm, but if it's the ONLY thing that can get any attention despite having a dedicated thread that isn't being used because they're putting it here...

Now, imagine if the PH Setting thread was posted entirely here despite having the thread.
That's the level of posting I mean.
