Red waved at both whisper and Roxie before turning and trotting away.

This being one of the rare days both her and her wife had off she thought about heading home but quickly changed her mind when she spotted a black and white stallion she knew well.

A smirk spread across her muzzle as she snuck up on her friend.

Upon reaching him her tail reached out and caressed his ear. She stepped purposely out in front of him and turned her head, one of her eyes was obscured by her messy mane the other was half lidded giving the mare a seductive look.

"Hey Buck~" She said in a sultry tone.

Buckler stumbled backward a little in momentary surprise.

"Wh-Whoa...hey there, Red...um, what's up?" He smiled awkwardly.

Red sat down as laughs spouted from her, after a few seconds of this she wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Thanks Buck," she rubbed the bump that started to form on her belly. "I was worried I wouldn't be able to do that anymore."

Buckler chuckles a little. "Nah, don't worry about it. I think you can still pull it off." He rustled around his mane a little. "Heh...especially if I'm still around. You know me. So, how's things?"

[Guest]

She smiled at him. "Yeah I do." She scratched her head. "Well I've been stressed at home for a while. But Whisper set me straight."

She shook her head. "What about you and Shayle?"

[RoboRed]

"Great, actually. Shayle's been a lot more calm these past couple weeks and has been enjoying herself more." He smiles. "It's really been great. I haven't seen her like this in a while. It makes me happy that she's happy." He takes on a concerned look and tone. "Stressed, huh? Is...something wrong?"

[Guest]

Red smiled at the news. "That's good hear buddy, I'm happy for you and her. "

The mare hangs her head slightly. "Well, I was worried how Pinks would react when she's old enough to know she's not related to me. That and being sick every morning was getting to me..." She shook her head again. "Sorry Buck, like I said whisper set me straight. I'm better, honest. "

Buckler puts a reassuring hoof on Red's shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about it. When it comes down to it, you're still her mom and the one who helped raise her, no matter what." He drops his hoof. "For what it's worth, I'm glad Whisper was able to help you sort things out."

[Guest]

She leaned into her friend's hoof. "Thanks Buck. That's what everyone's been telling me. I'm sure I'll get over it." She takes a step away from him. "Are you doing anything right now?"

[RoboRed]

"Nothing really. I just heard that someone opened up a bookstore around town and I figured I'd see if they had picked up any gun magazines." He started pawning the ground. "And, maybe something for Shayle."

[Guest]

"Gun magazines?" she said in an excited tone, however she couldn't help but snicker when Shayle was brought up. "Shayle would probably have more fun with the paper. "

[RoboRed]

"I thought maybe a book of crafts or something. Thought she'd like that."

[Guest]

"Or flowers." She suggested. "Let's go check it out, and then I'll buy you drink. I got something I want to talk to you about. "

[RoboRed]

"Oh, sure. Let's see...I think it was supposed to be somewhere by the cafe..." He starts walking off.

[Guest]

She followed after him. "Do you know where it is? We could ask someone."

[RoboRed]

He looks back at her. "I guess we could go ask someone at the cafe if it isn't by there."

[Guest]

She nodded and continued to follow.

Eventually, the two make their way to the bookstore. Buckler walks in the bookstore, a small bell ringing as he enters. He looks around. "Wow...this place has a pretty good stock."

[Guest]

"Mhmm" she agreed as she wandered through the racks of magazines. "Need any help with Shayle? Or do you have it covered?"

[RoboRed]

"If you could help me out, that'd be cool. I'd really like to pick out something nice for her."

[Guest]

"I know you would." She said as she walked around the magazine racks and towards the bookshelves.

Red scanned the bookshelves pulling out any titles that she thought Shayle would like.

After about twenty minutes the mare had a small pile of books in front of her, a couple of books on arts and crafts among them was a book about charcoal drawings and another on basic origami.

There was another few books on the subject of gardening. Red wasn't sure if Shayle was interested in gardening but there were beautiful pictures of flowers in the books she was sure Shayle would love.

Lastly there was a decent sized pink book with a picture of a rattle and a pacifier, the title had faded but the subject of the book seemed to be obvious enough without it. Still she checked the text inside to be sure.

"So, what do you think Buck? Anything she'd like?"

[RoboRed]

Buckler walked around the corner, trying to balance a few books and magazines on his back.

"Huh? Well, let's see..." He put the books on the floor and gently started sifting through the pile that Red had amassed in front of her.

"Ooh...I she think might like the gardening ones."

[Guest]

Red piled the rest of the books up leaving only the gardening books spread in front of her. She flipped through the pages of the first one showing off some of the pictures to Buckler. This book based on the pictures focused domestic wild flowers a few of which she had seen in her life.                                                                                                                                                                     She closed the book and picked up the next one, however she quickly closed it as well placeing it atop the tower of regected books when she realized it was about growing vegatables.                                                                                                                                                                      The last book Red flipped through for him contained a vareity of exotic flowers only one of which she had ever seen. She skipped past the picture as quickly as she could, the mare accidentally skipped over a few of the other photos in her haste. She showed him a few more of the book's pictures before laying it down at Buck's hooves next to the other. "Which one will it be?"

Buckler pointed a hoof a the last book. "Definitely that one." He reached forward and grabbed it, gently placing it aside. He looks back over at the pile of books and magazines, when he noticed the one with the rattle and pacifier on the cover. Pointing a hoof towards it, he asked, "Hey, what's that one right there?"

[Guest]

She lifted the pink book. "This one's on parenting... Some of this stuff doesn't apply to Shayle," she said as she remembered a page with an illustration of a machine with suction cups and tubes. She made a mental note to bring it up with Mr. Blues, the two of them could probably rig up something for Herself.

"But I scanned through it and it's got some good tips for the both of you."

Buckler took the book in his hooves and looked at it silently for a while. "You know, sometimes I still can't believe it. I'm actually going to be a father..."

[Guest]

"You'll do great." She let out a little sad sigh but maintained her smile. "You have a better attitude about it now than when I was in your shoes."
