Roxie continues her walk, when she notices a familiar scent. She turns to go towards it but gets tugged back by the leash, she growls.

She eyes Roxie suspiciously before giving the dog a warm smile. "This isn't so bad girl," she nudges the chain dangling from her neck. "I've been wearing mine for five years fifteen minutes won't kill you."

Roxie looks at Red, then at her leash. She then turns to face her companion, lowers her front end then backs up slips out of her leash. Once free from her evil leather restraints she lets out a happy bark then runs towards the smell.

Reds eyes widened slightly as the collar fell to the dirt. "Dammit." she muttered "Could've sworn I measured that right." she said as she chased after the cyber Doberman the leash and collar still dangling from her muzzle.

Roxie continues to run until she spots a blue unicorn, she then jumps and tackles him, licking his cheek.


"Oww."He opens his eyes and looks the cyber Doberman"Roxie! Hey girl, I missed ya too."He gives her a quick hug, then starts petting.


She continues to wag her tail.

Red caught up a couple minutes later. She quickly trotted up to Roxie unsure of who the dog had pinned. She dropped the leash collar into her bags before hooking a hoof under the dog and heaving her off. 

"Sorry about that, Rox can get a little excite- Oh hey doc. Didn't expect to find you in town," Red stroked Roxie's ears. "me and Rox were starting to worry you weren't coming back." 

She offered a hoof to the downed stallion. "Here, let me help you up."

Whisper grabs Red's hoof wincing a little as he pulls him self up"I didn't me ta worry ya, but uh, why wouldn't I come back?"He asks a little confused.

"That's more what she thought. " Red continued stroking Roxie's ears. "Rox can be pretty convincing for a dog."

She took her hoof from the canine's ears and placed it back on the ground. "She got depressed after the first week. At first I thought her legs were giving her trouble but that wasn't it." She shrugged. 

"So Saks had the great idea of bringing her into work. That did the trick for a little while, especially the day Azure brought in her little one in, but that stopped working. I brought her over to your house to see if there was anything that might cheer her up and I had a hell of a time getting her back out, I couldn't just leave her in there all by herself. "

The mare rubbed Roxie's shoulder in a manner that she hoped was comforting to the dog. "Anyway after the clinic and your house I finally put two and two together. I guess she rubbed off on me a little." 

Red pulled the leash from her quickly showing it to Whisper before stowing it again. "Had to make that to help me get her out of the house. Though her mood has brightened up around the house these last couple days."

Red scritched Roxie's chin. "Isn't that right girl?"

Roxie growls at the leash, but then looks at Whisper and whimpers.

Whisper scratches Roxie behind her ears"I'm sorry girl, I didn't mean ta be so long. I just had a little accident and got stuck in the hospital."He says sincerely as he continues to pet the cyberdog."How's 'bout next time I take ya with? That sound good?"He smiles.

Roxie wags her tail and barks happily.

"So how was your trip anyway? Other then the hospital visit." she shook her head. "On second thought you probably liked that part. By the way you should start locking your door... those are some interesting magazines."

Whisper blinks then lightly blushes and rubs the back of his head"Oh uh, those old things. Yeah they uh, are somethin..."He looks away"Thought I put those in a lock box."He mutters to himself and shakes his head."Anyways, the trips was... Okay I guess. Met up with some friends, went on a job. Wish things would've went better with Iffin, but I guess not too bad."He then looks at Red "And yeah, havin' an IV and painkiller drips are so much fun."He says sarcastically.

She rolls her eyes and smiles before a small frown crosses her features. "What's wrong with Iffin?"

[Guest]

"She's upset with me, about ya know. Not that I can blame her."He sighs"Still, kinda hurts being talked ta like yer just some pony they know by yer own daughter but it's my fault she's upset, so all I can do is just talk ta her and hope it gets better."

Red's frown deepened as recent thoughts of her own daughter were pushed to the forefront of her mind. She wasn't sure this would mean much coming from her but she wrapped her hooves around his neck and pulled him into sympathetic hug knowing full well she may one day be in his shoes. "I'm sorry doc. "

Whisper awkwardly pats her on the back"Uh, thanks, Red. Don't worry too much 'bout it, all right? It can't be good fer ya."

Red shook herself and took a step back. "Sorry, just been having these thoughts lately. I just can't shake them."

[Guest]

Whisper looks at Red"Yeah... I know what ya mean. Used ta get stuff like that stuck in my head when I was yer age."He stops and thinks"Okay maybe not about the same stuff but, I've had troublin' thoughts that wouldn't go away."He pats her shoulder in a comforting manner."Only advice I can give is don't let it get ta the point that ya need ta do somethin' unhealthy ta try and forget, never works and only leaves ya feelin' worse."

"I'm trying, but after talking to azure about the way she was talking to you I-I just can't help but think about when my daughter will treat me like I'm just some mare." She looked at the ground and gave a heavy sigh.

Whisper offers a comforting smile"Hey now, don't ya go worryin' 'bout stuff like that. I can't see that happenin' ta ya. What Azure said, she was just upset and didn't mean any of it."He says sincerely"And if she does ever say anythin' like that, she won't mean it. Doesn't make it hurt any less, but she'll still love ya yer her mom after all."

She hung her head a little more and muttered "Azure's related to you."

[Guest]

"So? Just because she don't have yer blood don't make ya any less of her mother."He thinks for second"Being related ta someone doesn't make ya a mother. It's the care and raisin' them that makes a parent. The child knowin' that yer gonna be there when they need it, that's what's important. All that other stuff, blood, genetics, it ain't important."

[Guest]

Whisper's words appeared to be working on her but something still bothered her. "...But isn't that why Iffin is acting the way she is and Azure isn't?" The mare asked clearly confused.

[Guest]

Whisper sighs"Iffin just needs some time, it seems like it affected her more or somethin'. She'll come around, I know she will."He says in a neutral tone.

[Guest]

Red lifted her head a small smile on her muzzle glad to learn that Iffin's behavior wasn't a result of her parentage. "Thanks doc... If you wanna talk about this kind of thing sometime it might be good for us?" she half asked in a somewhat awkward tone.

[Guest]

"Yeah, that might be a good thing."He says just as awkwardly.

[Guest]

Red gave whisper a smile before turning her gaze towards Roxie, she reached her hoof out and scratched the dogs chin. "you're welcome back at our house anytime. All right?"

Roxie wags her tail and lets out a happy bark before sitting next to Whisper
