Ahh, in that case:
- Chapter 1:
- She didn’t even seem to realize she was shot, but I certainly did as I felt the bite of one that travelled through my temporary shield.
Typo: [travelled] > [traveled]
You'd be surprised how much the double-L consonant appears in text. 668 matches in the first chapter alone.
- Chapter 2:
- Eight pellets of lead travelled less than two feet, turning the firearm into scrap and her lower face and throat into pulp.
Typo: [travelled] > [traveled]
- Chapter 4:
- Then it swivelled and looked at both of us.
Typo: [swivelled] > [swiveled]
Also, happy birthday, Somber!
Yeah, beat that cold! Beat it senseless!

I'd argue that cuteness has less to do with forming emotional bonds than strengthening them. Uh...

Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.
May the candles on your cake
Burn like cities in your wake.
Happy birthdaaay.
Indeed, happy birthday, Somber!
One night I dreamed I was walking along a beach with Princess Celestia. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of hoofprints in the sand: one belonging to me, and the other to the alicorn.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the hoofprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life, there was only one set of hoofprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life. So I turned and asked Celelstia, "Princess, I've noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of hoofprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."
Princess Celestia replied, "My little pony, my faithful student, do you think these wings are for decoration?"
Aww, I'm sorry. Is that better or worse than a flower pot, anvil, cart, and piano? I'm trying to calibrate my crudometer.Somber wrote:Thanks for the pics. Thank you Ryx. Cute baby. Happy birthday Somber while its still your birthday! *huff huff*
While I lack the capacity to materialize birthday muffins across space/time I do have the ability to link youtube videos. Not as awesome as space/time muffins, I know, but hopefully this random video about sea pigs will be both informative and amusing.

As well they should. The ocean is a freakin' terrifying place. Hmm, come to think of it, the Fallout games never really took advantage of that. I mean, imagine how you'd react if, the first time you decide to dive into the water around Rivet City in Fallout 3 if you get ten yards then BAM! Giant. Mutant. Shark. Or an octapus...
...Sharktapus. Wait, they already made a movie of that.
Seriously though, with all the FoE sidefics out there you'd think someone would've thought to make an ocean based story. Like a bunch of survivors on a massive tanker or oil rig, or maybe an underwater Stable. Has somebody already done this and I just haven't found it yet?

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
Nah, the "No swimming" signs are just there because it's in the middle of the sea. The water around the city is kept relatively clean for fishing, easier maintenance, etc., and there are patrolling robots to scare away/take down/warn of any sea life that's too dangerous. There are, of course, rumors of things living down in perpetually shadowed forest of anchor lines, but the robots are pretty thorough.Harmony Ltd. wrote:Well, there's a reason why there's signs saying "no swimming" all around Elusive City
Hurk! I couldn't even get through the description paragraph. Sorry. I've a seemingly limitless tolerance for grimdark, but I've a very low tolerance for mechanical faults.Train Dodger wrote:thatguyvex wrote:Seriously though, with all the FoE sidefics out there you'd think someone would've thought to make an ocean based story. It's Ouroboros and apparently Broken Bonds was a motivation for the author to write it, no pressure Kipper

Hee. Now you know what it's like...
In other news, no luck on the job front. Sick as a dog too, again. I dunno why but everytime I get a bug it hits me like a truck. Right now my skull feels pressurized. Fortunately Sindri donated some money so I could go to the doctor and get some antibiotics before it sets up shop in my lungs.
As far as 56 is concerned... ugh... its a mess. This whole year has been a mess! I wanted the Society to be one chapter and now it's turning into three! It's Hightower all over again. Sigh... I just need the school year over so I can focus on other things...

Hey, if you need us, we're there for you dude.
I know I've not been the best of people to you in recent times, but that doesn't mean I ever wanted you to come to harm or anything and now I've sorted out the root of my issues (depression) I'm not being a fucker and taking it out on others and I wanna remind ya we're there.
Let us know how the recovery process goes and if you need any more money for medication and such, yeah?
And I know it's hard finding another job, but keep at it. We believe in you and we'll support you as much as we can, just gotta keep your chin up and try to be confident in yourself through it all.
Lastly, yeah - good point with that now I know what it's like there crack, but there's a difference between you and me with this one.
My work doesn't deserve to motivate others. My work only deserves to be forgotten about.

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
I had an idea some time back for a tribe of island ponies descended from the survivors of a fleet that was patrolling off the coast, or possibly on the way to the zebra lands, when the bonds fell. Once it was clear that a return home would be impossible, they set out to find a safeish island within their fuel capacity, then disassembled the ships for parts and shelter. (In my head one of the castaways was Lieutenant Pipsqueak, his beloved Dinky likely killed in the apocalypse.) Naturally, seaborne mutants and such would be a part if their everyday life.
