pretty much just posting porn/erotica, given this is a grimdark story, though I think some have gotten away with it by putting the link under tons of spoilers with warnings, not sure what else...Overthepacific wrote:CamoBadger wrote:You are correct ma'am. Well, compared to every other forum I've been on. So luckily we barely have to do anything.
Doesn't mean I'm not watching though.
What would be considered not behaved here?

I'll second (or third? Fourth?) the notion that this is an extremely well-behaved forum. Very much a part of why I chose to join it, there don't seem to be any flame wars and window-licking you usually find on the internet.

Shit guys, I leave for a couple of hours and the thread dies.
Getting back to the story, I decided to read across some of the story again to try and get a better idea about what is happening and came across this in 53.
I'm not sure how I missed this the first time. It seems someone needs to keep a lid on her baser urges
I mean, they are both still ponies, but that seemed really weird, because Boo seems to be more like a pet than to be thought of like that.
Unless...
Getting back to the story, I decided to read across some of the story again to try and get a better idea about what is happening and came across this in 53.
I woke, my PipBuck’s chronometer telling my two hours had passed. Boo
snuggled against me, snoozing as well. I smiled and nuzzled her mane;
she smelled like cherry filling. Then I glanced up at Glory, watching
me with an odd look on her face as she sat before me. My cheeks
reddened, and I swallowed, looking aside. “I didn’t do anything...” I
muttered. How long had she been watching me sleep? Was she ticked I’d
slept here rather than going up to her?
“I know you didn’t,” she said as she moved up to my other side and curled
up against me with a sigh. “The question is... would you like to?” She
wasn’t asking as if she planned on throwing me into more walls, but
there were still little alarms going off in my head. As if sensing my
trepidation, Glory smiled a little. “I’m not going to be mad. I just
wanted to know if you’d like to or not.”
I glanced at the snoozing blank, then back at her. “Um, no? At least,
not unless she suddenly told me she wanted to do something like that
with me. And you were okay with it. I mean, if you’re asking me on a
purely physical level then... but I... um...” I trailed off as she
sighed. “Sorry.”

- Spoiler:
- Since Boo is a supposed to be a copy to put a soul into a remake of the body, maybe later on Blackjack will "die" again, and have to have her soul brought back, but this time her soul will go into Boo because her other body is irreparable, and she'll have a complete body taking over Boo's copy form. This is foreshadowing for future masturbation.
- Spoiler:
- That also means she can get pregnant .

Well the masturbation bit is new. But the rest has been lightly passed around.
If that happens, I can see Blackjack refusing the opportunity. She's been advocating Boo's personhood pretty vehemently. Even if Boo somehow begged BJ to take the opportunity I bet it wouldn't be accepted.
I still think that Boo might be a plant. She's been blessed or cursed by something, and happens to- excuse me, I had to fight off a ridiculous crack theory in mid-sentence. Boo as the Maiden of the Stars. Anyways, we've been getting hints and nods of Boo's unusual fate and senses. It's leading up to something and I don't know what. But she hasn't 'found her way' into BJ's party, she was almost certainly placed there.

Seeing as I guess you mean that's a joke and not the moderation being a joke... well, which it kind've is at times, but usually they're good for what they're actually after.
Anyway... /b/ is /b/, there's a reason the expression "/b/ was never good" is around - and it's true.
Because /b/ was created as a "I dunno, whatever doesn't fit elsewhere" board, it gravitated over to "huur duur edgy" and that brought in people because they heard /b/ was super edgy and secret clubhouse.
If you want a proper example of moderation, the BEST board to go to is /g/.
/g/ has proper moderation - the mods will remove threads that are absolute shit and nothing to do with technology while not punishing people who aren't knowledgeable on a topic unless the OP is being a fucking dumbass and just causing trouble.
/mlp/ likewise has settled down now, after a year. At first it was craziness and disorganisation but now it's to the point where the natural order of things have come to be and only if you break the status quo in a douche move do you get punished.
/b/...
/b/ is left alone moderator wise because if it isn't left alone, kiddies will flood other boards with their bullshit. Simple as.

I've thought about what you've spoiled there, it's an interesting possibility but I don't want to think too much ahead in the story.
The scene, overall I find is to show how ignorant Glory is about Blackjack and how ignorant Blackjack is in general about not picking up on Glory's question and the meaning behind it. It's actually quite a natural and realistic relationship situation when it comes to previous sexual history and a nice touch that also adds considerable depth to both characters. Glory being the naturally inquisitive and curious mind but also embarrassed about her inexperience and willingness to sacrifice what she knows in order to please Blackjack as well as her willingness to grow and then Blackjack showing that her roots are very sheltered and her equal relationship inexperience.
That's actually a very important and pivotable moment for the both of them as a couple.

Wait, I just remembered I read someone saying something about cutting the Society. Is that actually going to happen? I've been looking forward to King Awesome since forever! (Note that while my patience is infinite, it's only one factor of infinitude. My patience will only last as long as the life of the current universe, after that I'm going to start to get desperate.)

My impression is that the role of the Society in the story will be smaller than originally intended due to pacing, time constraints in-universe, etc. but it would still very much be a thing.Derpmind wrote:Wait, I just remembered I read someone saying something about cutting the Society. Unfortunately the last time I heard anything about those plans was before the latest charlie foxtrot, so things might have changed.
If it gets cut entirely because of this, I will be quite peeved.

I believe the Society and slavery story arch has alot of potential, it would be a shame if it were to get cut because of time constraints or the like.

Yeah, I saw the signs and bailed to a bigtime newspaper. Part of my weekend is going to be commiserating with former coworkers who weren't lucky and are now jobless. I didn't realize the entire thing would collapse so suddenly. :(

Were she conscious, she would've persistently resisted her cybernetic augmentations as well, so I'm not sure how much that would actually restrict the possibility.

Re: [GRIMDARK] Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons Discussion
I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion.. but in a way, I'd prefer it if Somber left the Society untouched.
Blackjack going through the hoof and fixing every issue in every corner of it by herself seems too much for one pony alone to do, for starters.
I mean, I'm willing to forgive that because it is Project Horizons, that's what the story is about and what it does.
Still, it'd be nice to see she's not capable of changing the whole wasteland (or wouldn't be given enough time, ammo and metal/gems to eat) by herself.
The other thing is although what the Society are doing is indeed wrong of them, evil even, they're still providing fresh, radiation free food to the wasteland, right?
I might be wrong, they might not sell their goods, but for some reason or another I think they do sell what they don't need, albeit at prices that would make most scavengers eyes water to see.
Yes there would be some a decent chance for character development there, though another unpopular opinion of mine is that it would more than likely be everything we've already seen from Blackjack, given she's had to deal with slavers before (and slavers who claim they're only doing it because they have to, as well.)
My final point against it would be this:
It would be taking away from the story at this point, IMO, because we're finally getting close to endgame. To have Blackjack now know how serious not only EC-1101 is but also that Project Horizons is coming up and it's damn well important in some horrible way, as welll as having this super-"badass" zebra god of war in the works now too...
Yeah, she's got to get her act together and focus on what's truly important at this point.
The Enclave are still important, in my mind. What Lighthooves is planning would kill countless thousands of innocent pegasai and the threat is huge.
However, the Society are benign. Yes they're bad, but they're nowhere near Red Eye levels of slavery.
Project Horizons should start to become her biggest concern now, the whole Enclave thing being the last side-quest she's got time to deal with.
