Cast Iron shoulders his rifle. "Feels like I'm back home again already." He says with a chuckle.

Searchlight stops. "Explosives, you really don't want to step on them." He says to Quiver.

Quiver slowly scans the ground ahead.

[CamoBadger]

A bit of sand burst into the air as a quick, striped body laden in blood-stained armor flashed across the road in front of the group. The zebra completely ignored them, taking great care to kick the mine at the group before disappearing behind a dune on the other side of the street. As the mine flew toward the group, it beeped angrily.

[Katarn]

"That's...."

"DUCK!" Grabs Novae and jumps with her away from mine.

[Ironmonger]

Cast dives away from the group. (d10=9)

Quiver slips into SATS by reflex, and shoots at the mine.

Searchlight runs to avoid the mine.

[Perception 7(7+2)]Charcoal focuses on the dunes, not worried about the mine. He tries to get another look at the zebra that attacked them.

The mine explodes before it can reach the group, too far away to do any damage to them. As Charcoal looks around, he sees the zebra that kicked the mine look over the dune and swear at them before ducking down again.

"That was..."
"What? Are you hurt?" Examines Novae

"That...was AWESOME! Hey, could you do that again? I bet I could disarm it mid-air!"

Cast chuckles at the zebras comment.

[XT Vengeance]

[combat (19+2)]Scorch swoops out of the air and lights the offending zebra on fire.

Charcoal holds his rifle at the ready.

Searchlight gets up from the ground. "Who the hell was that?" He asks to no one in particular.

[Ketchup]

"I don't know Novae, little busy..."
Quiver points his SMG toward the dune.

[Ironmonger]

Cast points his rifle at the dune.

[CamoBadger]

The zebra screams madly and jumps over the dune before running across the road and falling into a twitching heap in front of the group.

[Luck 7 (9+2)]Charcoal checks the body for clues or anything useful.

[Katarn]

"THAT wasn't awesome...at all..."

"Mmmm...crispy."

As Charcoal rolls the body a trio of frag grenades roll out from under it and the spoons pop off.

[agility 3 (7-2)] Charcoal jumps onto the grenades, shielding the rest of the group.

"Clever. I'd do the same, except of all this dying stuff."

Charcoal roars in pain, screaming in rage at his shredded chest and broken legs.

Quiver runs up to Charcoal.
"Try to keep still. This should help..."
Quiver injects Charcoal with Med-X.

Cast Iron stares blankly at the scene, not sure how to feel.

"CHARCOAL!" Clock runs up to him, uncorking a regular potion on the way. When she's next to him she pours it down his throat.
