Painkiller sighs, not in defeat, but in exasperation with Clockwork's continued hoof-in-mouth strategies of attempted gender-role oriented insults. "Well, at least I should thank you, had you not said anything to me, its likely one of these wounds would have become infected. Likely in the most nasty way with how I was wallowing in the innards of another pony just moments after his death."

Charcoal nods his head in agreement. "That is probably true. I just grew up in Manehattan. It was a pretty good childhood for the wasteland."

[Tytan]

"Yeah, you're welcome. About that though, why were you attacking a dead body?"

[Ironmonger]

"I heard Manehattan vas hit hard during zeh var, I'm surprised anyzing is left standing. I barely know anyzing about life out here, people talk about getting shot at a lot, but I have rarely been shot at aside from zeh occasional beserker high on drugs."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well, you may want to get used to it. I mean, this sure as hell isn't the first time for me," he says pointing to his minor wounds where the bullets had nearly missed his hide. "I've had way worse, but, I 'm sure that is pretty easy to see," he says, moving his mechanical hoof. "I still have a home in Manehattan though. It's not all that much, but the Crow's Nest is far better than a lot of places I have seen."

"Let me rephrase. I am used to being shot at, hell I have been exploded by artillery" he snaps one of his claws for emphasis. "but I am not used to zeh concept of possibly everyzing trying to kill you. And I have fought Trottomanes vith zere absurdly huge artillery. Anyvay, Manehattan sounds like it vould be interesting to see, especially zis Tenpony Tower I sometimes hear about."

[XT Vengeance]

"Tenpony isn't a very good place. Sure, it looks nice, but everyone there is full of themselves. Friendship City is more impressive anyways, though I rarely visit either. I prefer to stay in my home unless I am hunting. Most of the time anyways."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller studies Clockwork only for a moment, like a clinician evaluating a piece of temperamental equipment on a bad day. "I'd rather not say." I what he finally manages.

[Ironmonger]

"I just roam around verever and apply my military experience vere it is needed, but in light of recent events I feel it is a good idea to keep a low profile. Zat is vhy I am still staying in zeh town and not on my vay somevere else."

Charcoal is silent for a moment, remembering the events that had led him to leave Manehattan for the time being. he shakes his head to clear it. "I'd suggest sticking with the group. I may not be the most social pony, but I think we may need all of us together sometime soon."

[Tytan]

Clock shrugs, "Meh. That's your business. But, just out of curiousity, how often do you check yourself over for wounds? You've got some of the worst burns I've ever seen, I doubt you can feel much anymore."

[Ironmonger]

He chuckles at that statement. "It probably vould be a good idea to keep a professional soldier around. No offense to anyvun, but such a rag-tag group has quite a bit going against it. Every group need some strong points."

[XT Vengeance]

"Yeah. I'm definitely not a soldier. Sniper, but not a true soldier. Hopefully our doctors start to get along at some point, but Painkiller just seems to be a bit of a jerk at times."

"It helps to have a thick skin. I respect him because he seems to be completely dedicated to his task in life as a doctor regardless of vat happens. Zat might not be enough for some people."

[XT Vengeance]

"That doesn't give him an excuse to be an asshole though. Especially if he expects to be respected for being a doctor. I don't really have a problem with him, but he seems to have a problem with me."

[Ironmonger]

"I don't zink so. I've seen zeh Doktor's behavior out of my superiors at times. It is a form of vorry as far as zey are concerned, but vhy Painkiller vould be vorried about you is beyond me."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well he had the nerve to try and warn me away from Clock. It wasn't any of his business. He acted like he thinks it is his right to eavesdrop on us. He compared himself to a town guard, but I digress. I just think he needs to learn some respect."

[Ironmonger]

"I cannot say I can relate, but I agree. I don't mind his actions but zey vill eventually come back around to bite him vun vay or anozzer."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller returns his attention on clockwork, she's the first pony to flat out know about the extenuating circumstances of his condition and then ask. "You're the first pony to ask me that, most ponies assume I'm just a ghoul with less deformities. It's only worse indoors. I don't often find myself in situations that merit a self-examination, not anymore at least."

[Tytan]

"It's not hard to tell. Obviously you look burn like every ghoul, but your eyes... they don't look like a ghouls. They're not scared that you're gonna go feral, and they're not angry at the world. They're pretty angry, but not like a ghoul."

[XT Vengeance]

"Yes. He better hope his manners have improved by then. I'll still help, but I can't speak for the others."

[Ironmonger]

After a long silence in the conversation, he decides to change the topic. "Vat are zese raiders people keep talking about?"

[XT Vengeance]

"They are animals. Scum. They kill and rape and steal from ponies that are just trying to survive. They attack caravans, they are almost always high on drugs, and they laugh at the misery they cause," Charcoal says angrily, his left pupil is beginning to glow red from his hatred of raiders. "The only thing raiders deserve is the bullet I will put through their heads, and they hardly deserve that."

[Ironmonger]

"I hardly know vat to say to zat. I vish zat zey could be redeemed."

[XT Vengeance]

"HA! Redeemed? They don't want to be redeemed. They want to continue raping and murdering," he says scornfully. "Look, I'm sure there may be some of them that want to repent, but I have never seen one, so pardon me for not believing it."

[Ironmonger]

"Just remember somezing, nozzing is impossible, just highly unlikely." he says calmly. "I have been very unsure of myself lately, and if raiders are as beastly as you say zey are, and I am not doubting you, zen it is just vun more reason for me to keep my militant attitude." he takes on a more official tone of voice and a stern expression out of pride. "In Germaneigh zeh military keeps us strong. Venever ve are veak zere is someone to lean on, and if ve can't get ourselves going again zere is alvays somevun to give us a good kick in zeh flank to knock us out of our stupor. Even if my country has abandoned me I have not abandoned zere ideals, and zose ideals may be vat keeps me from devolving into a rampaging beast like zese raiders." he sighs. "I feel better now. I guess it really is helpful to talk to somevun."

[XT Vengeance]

"It can be. And it is good that you don't act like a raider. I really don't want to kill you, you know?"

[Ironmonger]

He chuckles. "You amuse me sometimes." a mischievous grin creeps onto his face. "I'd probably be a razzer scary raider if I vas vun." He stands up slightly on his hind legs and starts snapping his crusher claws like a crab. "Ha ha ha HA!" He recomposes himself. "Sorry, had to. Growing up in a military and zen being out in a lawless waste makes zeh crazy come out."
