Cast Iron scowls at the corpse that gave him only five caps as it hovers in the air. "Very vise, traveling light. However, I need zeh caps, and you gave me only five. Make like a bird!" He launches the corpse far, far away from the group like a rocket.

[Tytan]

Clock takes the empty bottle in her magic and waves it back and forth in the air between them, "Isn't that a little hypocritical?"

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Hypocritical would imply being unprepared for more while doting upon their preparedness. Hypocritical would bespeak of a pony who touts a long familial lineage and just flushes it all under when a pony collapses not three strides from her and doesn't even blink!" Painkiller is slightly pacing now.

[Tytan]

"Oh, please. You fainted like a filly. And who says I'm not prepared for more?"

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron trots over to Charcoal. "I vill take zat can of Cram."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"A grown Stallion does not just faint on the floor! I nearly went into Cardiac arrest! Your incompetence and wavering compassion could have just ended up with a dead stallion! Take a good, close look, because if you have at least half the experience you tout you would know exactly what I mean." Painkiller is not exactly screaming, nor is he quiet in his exclamations. Granted, he may be taking it a bit personal, but having a claustrophobia induced panic attack followed up by a flaming bird materializing in your face does not a healthy heart rate for a burned pony make.

Charcoal looks up from his rifles. "Sure, take it. I don't really have any room for it in my bags, so i figured why let it go to waste?"

He floats the Cram into one of his bags. "So uh, vut got you into shooting? I do not recall if you have already told me, my memory has been playing tricks on me ever since I left Germaneigh." he said, a little unsure of his social skills.

"My dad taught me, and we soon found out I just had a knack for it. I used to guard my family caravan," he says uneasily.

[Ironmonger]

He sense the unease in Charcoal's voice. "I take it somezing happened to zem. I'm...sorry. I know vat it's like to lose vun's family."

[XT Vengeance]

"I'd rather not talk about it, thanks," Charcoal says quickly. "Look, it's nothing personal, I just don't want to talk about it, you know?"

[Tytan]

[Medicine] Clock looks one step below furious, but she keeps her voice and features even with only the barest hints of anger creeping into her voice, "You did not almost have a heart attack. You had a panic attack and passed the fuck out. If you'd had a heart attack there wouldn't have been a lot I could have done for you anyways. I don't know about you, but what do you think the survival rates are for a patient having open chest surgery in a non sterile environment. You'll forgive me if I didn't want to crack your chest open because you got scared of a bird."

[Ironmonger]

"Aye." he acknowledges. "Bad memories and all, I understand." he nods his head. He decides to change the subject. "I find it strange zat zere vas anyvun else here, yet at the same time I do not. Also, zat...abomination vas nearly as big as Lord Wrought Iron himself. Zat could not have been a normal pony."

[XT Vengeance]

"No, it definitely didn't seem like one. I'd rather not have to deal with something that size again, but like my grandma used to say; Shit in one hoof, hope in the other. See which one fills up first," Charcoal says with a chuckle.

[Ironmonger]

He just looks at Charcoal blankly. "For zis reason I vill have to upgrade my arsenal as soon as possible. If zere is anyzing else similar out here it vill need to be killed quickly." He quickly looks away as his own statement causes a flashback. He was back in his squad, and they were under attack. Large unicorns in scale-like armor leading much smaller earth ponies fired at him with weapons he had never seen before. The ground was occasionally exploding from shells fired by their artillery. In reality, Cast Iron visibly looked a little frightened, and his pupils had become pinpricks.

"You alright Cast?"

[Ironmonger]

He shakes his head violently and smacks himself in the face in an attempt to recompose himself. "Eizer I am remembering zings...or I am losing my damn mind..."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Hardly would be appropriate would it? It didn't kill me the first time." He scratches his chin idly. "Also I find it hard to believe a mare would use the term 'filly' to describe a pony in a moment of shrill panic and terror of heart stopping proportions. Do you imply females are of a more cowardly sex?"

[XT Vengeance]

"I think the same thing about myself at times. Dreams. Memories of the past. You know, stuff like that," Charcoal says to the large unicorn. "Well, Scorch always tells me I'm a good listener, so give me a shout if you need anything I guess. That's what friends are for."

[Tytan]

"Generally no. I've mares who could hand you your own ass. And come to think of it, I've never seen a mare faint before."

[Ironmonger]

He looks back to Charcoal and smiles. "Er...zank you." he sighs. "I zink zeh source of zeh issue is zat I have spent seven of my seventeen years in zeh military and I have been abruptly zrust into zis blasted land. I am no practioner of medicine, but zat is bound to be jarring to zeh mind."

[XT Vengeance]

"...you are only seventeen?" Charcoal asks incredulously. His face shows a mixture of surprise and confusion.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"So you insult them by describing fillies in a not so favorable manner? To me, 'Screams like a filly,' implies an act of fear and fright that no colt could possibly muster."

[Ironmonger]

He nods. "Vat vere you expecting?"

[Tytan]

"Well I couldn't say you fainted like a colt. That just doesn't sound right. I could have said you fainted like a bitch, but seemed unnecessarily mean."

[XT Vengeance]

"Well I wasn't expecting you to be almost ten years younger than me for one."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"I'm not so certain your friend over there would find that particular insult to be an unfair assessment of the females of his race. Perhaps other useful terms would be like a coward or a pandering spineless sycophant." Painkiller points a hoof in Viktor the Sanddog's direction. "Besides using the term colt would likely be even more sexist on your part."

[Tytan]

"That's the wonderful thing about Eqquish, one word can have a lot of meanings. One, a female Sand Dog. Two, a mare with a bad attitude. And three, an effeminate stallion who faints when he gets scared."

[Ironmonger]

"Males enter zeh military at age ten ven zey are deemed mentally competent enough to handle the basic concepts of teamvork and coordinating vith ozzers outside zeh squad. By zeh time zey are around my age Germaneigh has an entire army made up of veterans, zeh only issue I know of being disproportionate combat experience. I vas in training for five years, two actual service."

"I meant more about the fact that you are nearly twice my size, but I am glad I did not grow up in Germaneigh. No offense."
