[Admiral Stoic Rum]

Painkiller trotted up the porch of the inn, ignored anypony who may have been there, not really taking much heed for his surroundings as he stopped thinking clearly with a closed door in front of him. "Ladies first" he says as he indicates to the door, he carefully and while looking out away from the entrance, opened the door and held it for cherry.

[Guest]

Cherry walks into the door and nods at Painkiller"Why, thank ya doc."She smiles

[Ketchup]

"If he wants to keep to himself, that's his prerogative."

[Guest]

"Yup, though ah have feelin' he'll get comfortable 'round y'all. At least ah think he will."

"Good enough fer now."He says as he finishes up with his smg. He puts it back in it's place and walks out of the bar.

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"No problem" He answers, his tone queasy. As he enters the world seems to get smaller and all he can feel is walls closing in, he fixes his eye on Cherry, if only to get his focus straight before heading to his rented room.

He stops just outside his rooms door. the air stuffy a little to him.

"What you will see here, you are not to breath a word to anypony understand?"

[Ketchup]

Quiver follows Cherry and Painkiller in.
"Are you two staying here for a significant amount of time? I've kinda kept with Charcoal, the pony with the Phoenix."
He turns to Painkiller.
"Uh, sure. I guess."

[Guest]

Cherry shrugs"Ah don't know. Maybe. Ah think we're just gonna travel with y'all fer a while, take a break from the bounties."She hears Painkiller and looks at him"Understood, sir. Ah won't tell anypony."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"Good," He opens the room and sets his saddlebags aside, when the other two pegasus have made themselves comfortable, he locks the door behind him.

He carefully removes the outer layers of his clothing, revealing his burn scarred hide. The scars have cracks and splits along them from when painkiller had to work out the stiffness of the skin. His dashite brand shone through even where his fur did not grow back. But most eye catching was what was where his wings were supposed to be. Metal tubes folded along his sides, similar to how a pegasus' wings would sit when folded at rest.

[Agility 6 (roll 7+1)]j He reaches behind himself to nudge a circuit switch on his back, between the mechanical apparatus positioned above his flight muscles and primary nerve clusters.

He carefully and slowly unfold the limbs from their rested position each looking like a single bar with three long fingers coming from the end, hanging as long as the main wing portion itself. the ends of the devices ended in removable spikes, used as attachment points.

"This is what many wastelanders think of our Kind. My Name and rank was Major Painkiller of the Grand Pegasus Enclave. Armor Serial number Stratus8410. Operations designation Medic."

[Ketchup]

Quiver gapes at the pegasus' injuries and extensive reconstruction.
"Those are some pretty heavy burns. There must of been severe shock from that much heat..."

He notices the branding over where his cutie mark should be.
"What happened to your cutie mark? That looks like a burn, but is unlike the damage to your body."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"The Enclave is where all the pegasus fled to after Cloudsdale was hit. It was the pegasus whom sealed the sky using the weather control towers, I'm sure you've seen them. Rainbow Dash, a prominent political figure and soldier during the time of the war, insisted on the pegasus immediately returning to the surface to help survivors. Nopony listened, she abandoned her people for the Ponies of the land. Since then, pegasus who are banished or have declared themselves enemies of the Enclave are branded with her cutie mark. This is no ordinary burn, it completely overwrites my own cutie mark."

[Ketchup]

"So the Enclave are the governing body of most of the pegasi. Got that. Why were you banished?"

[Guest]

Cherry looks down."Ah... Ah'm so sorry, sir. Ah didn't know it got that bad..."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"I ran my mouth at the wrong pony, honesty wasn't what he liked to hear, and I usually get away with it." He clenched his jaw at the memory of the pony, "But not this time. I was banished to set an example; a reminder that was set to keep the rest of the ponies like me in line."
His wing apparatus being to gather up his clothes and arrange them neatly. He start putting on the bits he can.
" At first it was reassignment to a backwater post south of Equestria, there was a facility buried in a mountain that none of our Infiltration teams managed to bypass, so we sat on it. Orders came down after I arrived and that when they branded me and ditched me below the clouds. Shortly after I was found by some gangers, and I was stupid. They didn't take kindly to pegasus at all. They used a chainsaw to cut off my wings, then doused me in Liquid Dragon fire."

He puts on the rest of his cloths concealing his wings and cutie mark again once they were folded up completely.

[Ketchup]

"I think I can infer what 'Liquid Dragon Fire' does. Who fixed you up?"

[Guest]

Cherry tucks her wings close to her when painkiller talks about his wings and starts to look sick"Ah...Ah need ta go..."She unlocks the door and walks out, quickly closing it behind her. She trots back to her room and puts on her duster, then takes off her cap and tucks it into a pocket of the coat and walks out of the Inn.

Shadow walks over to Cherry"Hey, Blossom.*Notices her expression*What's wrong love?"

"Ah...Ah just don't feel well."She walks over and leans on him"Maybe we could just take walk, see if that helps?"

"Alright, whatever ya say, Blossom."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"I was blind, half choked and barely able to focus from the shock, but managed to survive long enough for a group of Ponies calling themselves 'Watchers' to find me. It defies all logic and reason, but they did what they could for me, cleaning my burns and treating them, they even managed to replace my lungs and eyes."
He doesn't notice when Cherry leaves the room, hes lost in his past and story, sharing it with the only other pony of his kind he believes he can trust.
"I had to work the debt off, but it doesn't take long once you start training other doctors in what they were in desperate need of. Hereditary doctors like that grey unicorn mare out there don't know all the symptoms and diseases, most would just give a pony a healing potion and send them on their way. Many ponies had illnesses and diseases which couldn't be treated by a potion.
"They didn't have anything for my wings, but pointed me in the direction of a pony that would.
"I worked for him for two years before I could pay off what I owed for those things on my back right now."

The still activated wings shift slightly as Painkiller unconsciously moved them as he thought about them. He realizes this and clenches them to his sides close.

[Ketchup]

"Well, for what it is worth, I'm sorry for what happened to you. It is fortunate you had a marketable skill. And, it is good to see there are good ponies out there who will help."
Quiver pauses for a second, with some solemness in his expression. He brightens a little before talking again.
"You might be able to learn something from a 'hereditary doctor', or even myself. You never know what isn't taught in one kind of medical education."

[Admiral Stoic Rum]

"That's true, I learned quite a bit from the Watchers, and they from me. I know I can fully trust them with my life. They proved it through action and through allowing me to observe. It's also because of the Watchers I know not everypony who claims they have medical skills can be taken for their word. I can't risk another pony's life for the actions of a pony I have no idea I can trust with my own life."

Painkiller makes a walk for the door, "I suppose Cherry left? Didn't take her for the squeamish type.

"You've got some guts there." He calls as he Leaves the inn.

Painkiller take his place back in front of the Klinik, he knows it has to open soon and knocks on the door again. "Who closes a medical facility in the middle of the day!" He grumbles to himself, machinery barely twitches in reflex to his irritation.

[Ketchup]

Quiver says goodbye as Painkiller leaves, and leaves himself for the middle of town. He resumes his cartography activity, pausing in thought often over recent events.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron wakes up after having a not-so-pleasant dream. "Vell zat vas utterly pointless." he grumpily says to himself. "Can't even take a nap vithout somezing cropping up zat is better left in zeh past." He makes for the middle of the town to check the job board, finding nothing he growls irritably, but his ears perk up as he hears strange sounds. He turns his head and spots a pegasus drawing something. Curious, he decides to talk to the strange pony. "Vere you vith zeh group of survivors zat came in recently?"

[Ketchup]

"Hmm? Oh, yes I was. Why do you ask, sir?"

[Ironmonger]

"You looked familiar, but my memory is a bit fragmented so I could not tell." He glances at the paper the pegasus is drawing on. "May I ask vat you are doing?"

[Ketchup]

"Well that is... a little strange. And I'm drawing a map of the town."

[Ironmonger]

"Cartography seems like a rare skill out here. My squad had a cartographer who coordinated vith zeh communications officers and artillery batteries, but his maps vere so complicated zat only he and ozzer officers of his kind could read zem."

[Ketchup]

"Heh, my maps aren't nearly as complex as that. It's just a hobby. You're a soldier, I presume? Name is Quiver, by the way."
He says with a grin.

[Ironmonger]

"Captain Cast Iron of zeh 1st Infantry, sharpshooter, ex Germane Imperial Army." he says with a salute and a grin. "Five years military experience, two years actual service."

[Ketchup]

"Good to meet you Cast Iron. I can't say my teachers in the Stable taught me anything about Germaney. Hmm. There are still standing armies? I was under the impression they were all dismantled or destroyed after the megaspells hit."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron shakes his head. "Nein. Ven Equestria vas hit vith zeh megaspells, Germaney knew zat zey vere next since zey had some relations vith zem. Zeh major cities vere evacuated to zeh ancient castles and fortifications and some factories vere dismantled and shipped to zeh safer areas. Some of zeh missiles vere destroyed, but ozzers got zru and destroyed much of my country. Only a quarter of Germaney remains intact, but everyone goes about zings almost normally."

[Ketchup]

"I suppose Germaney is fortunate, then. That is the first I've heard of a society that hasn't changed drastically since the apocalypse. Germaney didn't have Stables like Equestria, did they?"

[Ironmonger]

"Zey had nozzing of zeh sort. Germane ponies are very poor at spellcraft but generally have strong and very precise telekinesis, ve have little ability to develop much in zeh line of magical technology. However, Germaney did have an official, well-organized army and industrial system long before Equestria."
