"I'm guessing that they are part of the caravan as well?" Charcoal asks, trying to work up the courage to talk to the mare about the night before.

Clock turned back to Charcoal, "Yeah, they asked if they could join me back at Fiddlers Hoof. They seem nice enough."

Cherry looks at Mincemeat"Simple, he's not doin' it ta do good. He's doin' it 'cause it pays well, he doesn't care who the targets are."

"Well, I can hardly fault him for that," He says, "That's really what I meant - I didn't mean 'more good' as in a better quality of life, I meant you're sustaining a social economy. Whatever that means.

There's no point into trying to -help- the Wasteland, it'll never be cured."

Searchlight walked down the side of the street. "Come on you stupid knife, cut." He said to himself as he tried to cut a hole in his new hat with a dull combat knife. "There we go." He said as the knife finally broke through the leather. He cut a short vertical line then a horizontal line across it, then placed the hat on his head, his horn fitting through the hole he had just cut. "Perfect."

As he continued walking he notices Shadow talking with Cast and Painkiller."So the Social Butterfly finally decided to spread his wings!" He said jokingly from across the street making sure to be loud enough for him to hear.

"Yeah. They seem nice enough. I'm sure they will be a great addition to the team." Charcoal is quiet for a moment. "Hey...Clock...about last night..."

"W-what about it?"

[Guest]

"Heh, that sounds 'bout how Shadow sees it."

Shadow rolls his eyes then looks at Searchlight"Eh, ah'm only here 'cause ah was asked ta talk ta folks."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron raises an eyebrow at the Doktor. "Vell, true. However, a weight-negation spell vould have made zat non-applicable, but zeh size vould still be a problem. Even zeh mighty Acht-Acht is no good if zeh enemy is fucking shooting at zeh veapon itself." he agreed, elaborating on his thoughts. He cringed at the thought of someone desecrating such a fine piece of machinery. "Zeh aformentioned case vould likely have been a controlled situation. Just some artillery messing around."

"I...I know it sounds corny, but...I...I couldn't stop thinking about what happened..."

[Tytan]

"M-me neither."

[Orm]

"Well it's good to see that you're making progress." He looks at the other. "Hello Cast Iron. Painkiller." He pats Shadow on the back, then walks off. "Well, if anyone needs me I'll be looking around town."

Charcoal scoots closer to the mare. "Really?" he asks in surprise. "You couldn't either?"

When Searchlight pats his back, his hood falls off his head"Ow, burns."He winces and quickly pulls the hood back over his head."asshole"he grumbles under his breath.

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron looks at Shadow curiously. "Burns? Somezing to do vith a certain school of magic?"

[Guest]

"Yeah, what's it ta ya?"

[Ironmonger]

"Nozzing, just curious. Sounds like somezing related to some myzzical creatures in old stories zat got around back in zeh Fazzerland."

"Hmm, that interestin'. Maybe that's where this came from."He pulls the Umbranomicon from his saddle bags

[Ironmonger]

"Is it even safe to be pulling zat out in public? I don't expect it to jump up and bite someone, but vun never knows." He blinks. "Anyvay, it vas a different case. Ever heard of a Lich? Zey have bad reactions to high concentrations of light. Zeh difference being zat vat I am talking about is necromancy as opposed to pure shadow magic. I know zat dark does not necessarily mean evil."

[Guest]

Shadow looks at the book and shrugs"It's probably safe, hasn't caused me or Blossom any problems."He listens to his story"Lich ? No, not till now. And good ta see some folks aren't so dense as ta just assume it's evil, umbramancy is magic just like any other."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron shrugs. "Bah. Many ponies aren't dense so much as needing a vake-up call, preferably a knock to zeh head. Hah, I'd do zat myself but zeh murder charges vould be piling up too fast for my liking." His look turns to one of disapproval, but aimed at himself. "...And I'm getting off track again. According to zeh stories, a Lich is a necromancer who gives up zeir mortality and adopts a skeletal form in zeh pursuit of immortality. I vould be surprised if vun actually existed zat vasn't malicious, but I'm open-minded."

[Guest]

Shadow shrugs"Who knows, might be one around. It is a big wasteland."He puts the book back in his saddlebags.

[Tytan]

"No... It's all I thought about till I fell asleep."

[XT Vengeance]

"I...I don't really know what to say...or do," Charcoal says after a moment.

[Tytan]

"I... me neither."

[XT Vengeance]

"I don't want to mess this up, whatever it is that we have, I like it." Charcoal smiles at Clockwork slightly. "Let's just take things slow."

[Tytan]

Clock says nothing for the longest time. Then she kisses him on the cheek.

When she pulls away she speaks without looking at him, "Okay."

[XT Vengeance]

Charcoal blushes as the mare kisses him. He smiles to himself and puts his good hoof around her shoulder, content to just stay in her company for a while.

"So...what now?" he asks her after some time.

[Tytan]

Clock looks unsure of herself, "I...

I think...

I think I'm very confused."

[XT Vengeance]

"Confused? Confused about what?" he asks her, just a hint of concern in his voice.
