Sensing the strain in the conversation, Cast Iron decides to bring up a new topic. "Before my exile, I served vith a pony who decided to snipe vith an 88."

Crusher walks up to Clock and Charcoal.
"Hello Clock, and you're Charcoal, right?"

"Great!" Mincemeat says, trotted up to her now that she's back away quite a bit, "Any idea where to start?"

"Hey you two. We're just talking and eating. Find anything?"

"Nope ah don't have the faintest idea, so ah guess we could just start walkin'."

"Right. Walk. Yes." He lifts one foot out-- "What direction?"

Dr. Octo tilts his head to the side a little. "No, was I supposed to be looking for something? This is still a whole new world for the two of us. "

"Whats an 88?" Painkiller has never heard of one, his curiosity piqued at the thought of something with two upright infinity symbols as its number designation.

He would be more familiar with energy weapons models and makes from his Combat training in the Enclave, everypony serves at some point.

"I meant it as a general question. Did you find anything of interest? Anything you need to ask about? That sort of thing."

"Ah don't know, um, hows 'bout movin' forward?"

"Well, Geez, you're the one I asked for help. That implies you take initiative." He shrugs and starts walking, "What's your name, anyways?"

"No, not really. What's our next objective, anyways? As charming as this town is, I doubt it's a good place for a caravan stop. Surely there's more prosperous places to visit?"
Crusher and Dr. Octo turn to Charcoal. "I don't think we have actually. I'm Dr. Octo, and this is Crusher."

[Ironmonger]

Cast Iron grins at getting a chance to explain a weapon. "Eighty-eight-by-five-seventy-one millehmeetuh anti-aircraft cannon. Also known as the Acht-Acht or Wrath of the Iron Lord." he says calmly, holding back his excitement.

[Tytan]

"I don't really know what's next. I'm still kinda getting my bearings. And I get the feeling there's more work for us here."

"Cherry Blossom, most folks just call me Cherry though."She smiles and starts walking"What's yers?"

"He used a cannon ta snipe?"

"Mincemeat. No relation to the filling of a meat pastry." He looks over his shoulder, "And what do you, or did you, do before you stumbled across us?"

[Ironmonger]

"I don't know how he did it, considering zeh veapon veighs eight tons, but he did it. Ven bored, Germane soldiers are notorious for doing zings zat valk a fine line between 'impressive' and 'ridiculous'. Zis straddled zeh fence a bit more zan most. He got into trouble aftervards."

[XT Vengeance]

"Pleased to meet you. I'd really suggest that we stay here. Stick with the group. As much as I am used to it just being me and Scorch, I think something may be up. Camps like Fiddler's Hoof don't usually get attacked like that."

"Well, that depends on how far back yer talkin'. just before ah met y'all, my partner and ah collected bounties, hired guns, or what ever job was needed."

"[Intelligence 10]Yes, those attackers seemed more like an invading army. This implies that someone has a specific goal in mind, and Cleary the means to obtain it, judging by the rocket artillery. "

Painkiller winces at the thought of dirtsiders having such larg anti aircraft weapons at their disposal. More so thinking of what sort of impact it would have on a vertibuck or even an armored pegasus. He's treated ponies with some bad collision damages from drills and there was the war with the dragon.

"Couldn't have been good for hunting or even claiming bounties. Hell the size alone would make it nigh impossible for it to be easily mobile with a sniper pair." Painkiller slips with an unusual amount of military knowledge. in his pondering.

"That, and anyone who can afford rockets wouldn't waste them trying to rob a bunch of travelers."

[Scyto Harmony]

"Ah, moderately dangerous work," He shakes his head, "It's people like you who keep the wasteland... uh..." He looks at the sky, "[Speech 15]... more good."

[Guest]

Cherry chuckles"Well thanks fer the compliment, but ah wouldn't say that 'round Shadow."

[Aonee]

"I suppose rockets would be valuable, with the destruction teu can cause. I wonder about magical weapons, to be honest, Crusher's built-in weapon harness and other targeting systems and such are made to work with them. "

"Why not?"

"Yeah," Charcoal says absentmindedly. He had been hoping to have a chance to talk to Clock alone for a bit longer.

[Aonee]

"Okay, I'll go look around the town then, see if I can gain any knowledge of the surrounding area. "
